Martha's Pizza II - Bacon Cheeseburger in the bag

Review is closer to a 1.3/5, or a 2/10. Ordered last night through Uber Eats. Ordered a large…read moredonair sub without veg, and a bacon cheeseburger with fries, without veg, and asked for some ketchup included. They very clearly don't bother reading the requests, because they had full veg on the sub, and onions on the burger. But that itself wasn't the problem... The food was just terrible. The sub fell apart upon opening, with the cheese and meat both falling off the bread immediately. Bread was both overly toasted and way too soft to hold the ingredients, and apparently the donair sauce was on the side with the burger and fries, something I wasn't told of. Reason I didn't look? Cause the entire container was open and just tossed in the bag without any care. The burger was overcooked and tasted of the grill, with the only reason it was edible at all being the okay bacon on top. The fries were actually alright, the only reason I wouldn't give it a straight 1, as they were crispy and tasted good, but I also know for a fact that they're the same kind of frozen fries you can get at the grocery store. But hey, not gonna judge, they were the best thing I got. Got two portions of donair sauce, they were okay, but again, wasn't informed they were even in the bag. All in all...Awful food from a place I know can make really good stuff. I understand it was Christmas, but if you can't make the same quality of food, there's no reason to be open at all during the holidays.

Ordered delivery and really liked their donair - better than Tony's to me. Meat was good thickness…read moreand well seasoned, wrap bread held up well. Also enjoyed some pizza. Delivery was faster than expected which was nice.

One thing there is no shortage of in Spryfield is pizza joints. There are four within a five…read moreminute walk of our house. To me, pizza is pizza. Even bad pizza is still pretty good. I mean really you can't go terribly wrong with sauce slathered on dough and then covered with a variety of toppings and cheese. We had been frequenting a different establishment since moving to the area a couple of years ago. I had promised my son in the summer that he could get lunch from Crystal Pizza before the summer was over and he held me to my word on his last day before school started. He ordered a slice of meat lover's and a root beer. The slice was almost as big as he is and he ate all of it and declared it "super yummy." Our next experience with Crystal was for donairs. I love a donair, and Crystal's donair meat is something else. Really tasty, nicely spiced, and they are generous with it. Our latest experience was for pizza. They got the sauce-to-topping-to-cheese ratio just right. It was really good. On a final note, the place is CLEAN. Like, you could probably eat off the floor clean. It doesn't look like much from the outside, but if you are jonesing for a pizza or a donair, give them a try.

Better food quality from DUMPSTERS! Literally! McDonalds tosses out fries after 20 minutes. (for…read moreexample). Take out orders should be made fresh as they come in. NOT reheated, burned, hidden in a styrofoam box and sent out to customers! Specifically, I am referring to the Onion rings and fish my wife and I ordered last week. The fish was dark brown and over cooked, but still edible. The onion rings... well, I am 53 years old, eaten at many many restaurants between Fredericton NB, and Halifax, and in PEI, and of those hundreds of restaurants, I have never seen garbage served to a customer.. until last week. The onion rings were dark brown and the onion inside was literally burned to a crisp. They were so over cooked that the batter chipped off in the box. Seriously, these were almost black!!! There is NO excuse Crystals can offer for this offense. You can SEE burned food easily, and should NEVER send it out to be served to customers. The profit margin on food is high. $1,00 worth of food retail costs about 20 cents wholesale. Rather than throw out a few cents worth of burned product, Crystals feels it is perfectly acceptable to serve it to take out customers. Now here is something to think about... if they serve this garbage to take out customers, what about food that drops on the floor in the kitchen? Slices of meat? Balls of raw dough for pizzas? You don't see what goes on out back so you have to trust the restaurant to ensure the quality of food they serve... and if they serve garbage that should have been thrown out to take out customers.... God knows what they are serving behind the scenes. Not giving a shit about food quality served is not usually isolated, it is usually an overall philosophy as to how a restaurant is run. I have seen reviews for the pizza and donairs here, but after this review, if they dropped the tray of donair meat on the floor for your order, would you trust them NOT to use it on your donair anyway? I THINK NOT.

Called the restaurant back and they said they'd send a new one in 15-20 minutes and that I'd have to give the old one back. No clue why they wanted it back because they have to throw it out anyway but whatever I didnt pay for two pizzas so they can have it. 25 minutes later I called again and after leaving the phone sitting on the counter for almost 5 minutes (didn't even acknowledge me just picked up and put down the phone) they finally answered and said 2 minutes thanks and hung up. A different driver showed up and to his credit was very nice. He took the old pizza, gave me the new one and refunded my tip. Yes Jessys fixed their drivers mistake but they did nothing about the two hour wait or the inconvenience of the whole situation and the woman on the phone wasn't very professional at all. I used to love Jessys pizza but I think next time I'll be calling uncle bucks
