He got me connected with a bartender, Valerie. I connected with her to discuss about the drinks menu, supplies, etc. We finalized on my favorite drinks - Manhattan, Sunset Malibu, Moscow Mule and Lemon drop shots. On the day of the event she came over an hour before the party started to set everything up. The minute she walked in, I did not have to worry about ANYTHING. I pointed her to the kitchen and she did her magic there. She even wrote the names of the drinks in small paper tents to display the menu!! First of all, the venue was spectacular (I'll be writing a review of them shortly). We were in a lovely garden setting. The weather was still hot at 5pm. Our group of Marin-ites enjoyed tasty cocktails, a medley of gourmet treats, and lawn games (ping pong, bocce, etc.). But at the nucleus of this whole event was Bar Car - a fully renovated 1965 Airstream trailer which has been converted into a fully-loaded mobile bar. Greg (the owner) parked on the lawn and wow-ed the crowd with his inventive cocktail creations. My friends and I fell in love their tequila-based El Jardin. Very refreshing AND potent! Bar Car is a very clever concept. First and foremost, the vehicle is certainly a conversation piece. But more importantly, Bar Car is a very useful service for your private affair. Because let's face it, it ain't a party unless there's booze. And these guys do it all. They bring the bar; they customize the menu for your needs/budget; they make the drinks; they clean up; and then they drive off. It's a pretty self-contained operation. It's one less thing for you to worry about as you plan/host your party. I can certainly see these guys being a big hit at weddings, corporate functions, and/or house parties. I'm definitely going to keep them in mind for future events!
