I ended up with a super cool decorative plate that has Texas and various Texas items on it for $25 (it looked ceramic from the front but actually made from material similar, but much much sturdier, than a paper plate), a pair of earrings (in the shape of Texas and the Texas State Bird), and a little postcard. If you're walking by, it would be worth your while to check this place out if you're looking for a gift - but the prices are a bit on the higher end, since these items look more handmade than mass produced.

It truly feels like a hidden gem. It's also one of the few BBW stores in Houston that I haven't witnessed the constant, brazen shoplifting that has unfortunately become commonplace in retail and especially in this crime ridden city. Combined with the exceptional merchandise and thoughtfully curated inventory, the River Oaks store offers a refined shopping experience that keeps me coming back. I was immediately greeted and directed to where I could pick up my online order. This was a simplified process. I decided to get another scent that I did not order online, as well as trade out one that I had ordered online for something I liked better. They worked with me and were so gracious in allowing me to make my trade out, and I appreciated it. There was a scent that I wanted that this location ran out of, they were kind enough to call the neighboring store for assistance (their Rice Village location) just minutes away. The Rice Village location had what I needed and then some! Something that really impressed me about the Rice Village team was how friendly and warm they were! Their customer service was on 10! Allowed me to try on a different color in the shoe so we can get the correct sizing. We proceeded to order the actual shoe I wanted and Jose stated I'll have my shoes by Wednesday, March 23, which I was ok with. I called Jose Thursday, March 24 asking was everything ok because the shoes never showed. He goes to tell me that the shoes had to come in from another store, he'll be shipping it out in a few and he'll send me the tracking and I'll have the shoe Friday, March 25. Friday comes, I track my shoes, and it says "Attempted delivery, no answer." Of course I had been waiting all day, so I was upset and called fedex to let them know absolutely no one had been to my home for a delivery. The lady asks me to verify my name and address only to tell me the street address was off by one number and I need to contact the merchant whom ship the package to overwrite and correct the shipping label. I called the store and spoke with Jose, whom was unapologetic and said it was no big deal, he could have them fix the shipping label and they'll be delivered by tomorrow, only for him to call right back and say they won't allow him to overwrite the shipping label. They'll have to send him the package back for him to create a new label, which means I would be getting the shoe Monday since it was already Friday evening. Jose B. made it as if it was no big deal. A mistake was made on their end, with little to non apology. I missed the delivery guy Monday, March 28. Now, I finally got the box today only to open it and the Bottega V shoe box is torn, the bag is raggedy, overall not happy with this purchase and this is one brand I might have to not revisit.

I love that they also are open during non banking hours which is a big deal when you want to do something in your free time but can't make it somewhere during the normal work day.
