It's a fun store for kids and adults! Really! It's so fun to look around and reminisce about when you were young and would go to toy stores. They have a little book section with a huge carpet that kids can sit and read books or you can read a book or two to them. Also, they gift wrap beautifully. Today I decided to check this place out since I had some extra time. Iris Gifts is very much a boutique store. I was immediately greeted with a smile. I told the store associate I was just looking and we left it at that. I love not being bothered, so I am completely fine after the initial greeting/offer of help until I ask for help later. They have all the cute and festive items for the seasons, adorable clothes for children, fun jewelry, amazing candles and more! I enjoy browsing stores like this when I have some free time to get ideas for later when birthdays and/or special occasions arise. In this area of town, you will find several boutique shops, but this one is very convenient and there is plenty of parking available. Some of my favorite items are the El Arroyo collection, the fun cocktail napkins and the decorative styrofoam cups. On the higher end, they sell beautiful, lovely smelling candles (one brand in particular is $115.00 - I don't know anything about the brand, so I can't give feedback on the price - maybe it lights itself - Lol), pretty costume jewelry, home decor pieces and alluring bath items that function as both decorative and useful. I asked if she had any girl's shorts like tumbling shorts. In a very rude way and as if to say she did not want us in her store, she replied "We don't sell ""those"" kinds of things. As soon as she said that we walked to the door to leave. There appeared to be a bunch of shorts on a shelf on our way out. I felt like the owner or salesperson (with actions as those, I would say owner) did not like the looks of us, wanted us out of her store. I have never had anyone treat us, a family, in such a rude, unprofessional way. We were happy to go spend $50 on underwear and $25 for a cute plush toy at The Beaufort Bonnet Co. just down the street. A larger, commercial chain store. They were ever so pleasant and happy to sell us underwear for our daughter. Sad that a small business owner would treat customers that come into her store this way. It was her loss and we will not be going back to her store but to this other store where they treat their customers well.
