It was so…read morehard for me to drop my first born off with strangers at such a young age, but from the beginning Goddard has been nothing but kind and loving towards him. As a teacher myself, I appreciate the emphasis they put on education, as he has learned more than I could have ever imagined. The entire staff is constantly going above and beyond each and every week to make learning a BLAST. It is super apparent that creating a fun learning environment is a high priority. A few other things to note is their top notch communication efforts. We are always in the know about every thing! As well as the diversity, which can be hard to find in this area. I love that my son gets to celebrate our traditions while also learning about cultures different than his. Lastly, my son is HIGH ENERGY and can be a lot at times. The entire staff at Goddard has never once made us feel like he is a burden, in fact quite the opposite. They have always welcomed his energy with open arms and big smiles, which is huge for me! I love seeing him so happy to run into school every day! Thank you to everyone at Goddard Winward for taking such good care of our kiddo!

I toured and signed up for a 4 day spot at the Goddard School (Windward Pkwy). I was required to…read morepay a deposit fee plus an entire month's tuition up front to secure my spot ($1700 total). 24 hours later I received a message from the school I was on a waitlist for that a 5 day spot was now available, which is what we really needed. I explained to Goddard management that the other school was 5 min from my house, less expensive, and most importantly had a 5 day spot available. I asked if I could at least get some of my money back given the circumstances. They refused to give me back ANY of the $1700 deposit despite the fact that they only had it for less than 48 business hours. My child never even visited the school. They claimed that I could have taken a spot from someone else. I paid them Thursday afternoon and informed them Monday morning about my change of plans. If someone visited Friday who wanted that spot, am I really supposed to believe they couldn't have contacted them immediately on Monday to let them know about an opening? I reached out again and was told they never filled the spot. So if you couldn't fill that spot anyway, why couldn't I get even half of my money back? It's not like we took someone else's spot (according to them anyway). The school we ended up joining didn't require any deposit to secure my spot, and the owner purposely enrolls less students than the GA requirement to provide a better and more nurturing environment. My son has about 13 kids in his class vs. the 20+ children in the Goddard class. It's clear that the owner is all about money and posting on social media. I am so happy we found a better place for my child.

I have two that have dyslexia that came in remediated, but they do have a remediation program. There is academic support. Those teachers are amazing and push into the classroom in elementary school. the teachers are supportive, communicative, and available accessible and connected with our kids. My kids are involved in sports music, dance, arts , theater. There are a lot of opportunities to be outward facing service projects, mission trips. While I appreciate that, my kids are taught the Bible and a relationship with Jesus and the teachers reflect that my kids also have a diverse group of friends that come from different religious backgrounds, economic, backgrounds, and political backgrounds, which aren't emphasized, but there is a variety of demographic. My son instance has friends that are Hindi, Punjabi, agnostic. My kids are taught not just about Christian world views, but different religious world views, different scientific views like evolution in biology (which someone for some reason said they aren't taught) and they're taught from a scientific standpoint not trying to dispute the scientific theory. As rhe get older, they have opportunities to question, debate, express their opinions in different classes and that's encouraged because they don't want the kids to be programmed robots. As I stated earlier, their families of different economic backgrounds, but that is not something that is known or something that at least for my kids they don't care if they have a lot of money or don't have a lot of money. It's just not important in the grand scheme of things. They have a diverse group of friends and I find that a lot of my friends kids find their niche. They find their people because there's so much variety and diversity. Well, they do a annual fun fundraiser. You could donate a dollar and still participate with zero judgment or not at all. There is a level of understanding from learning disabilities to economic to religious backgrounds that is accepted without judgment. Of course there's gonna be jerk kids at every school, but that's the minority and not the majority.

My daughter has been there for 3 years and enjoys it. Her principal is awesome along with her supporting staff. GAC reminds me of DODDEA schools because often times the teachers children attend school there as well. Therefore they get the skinny on somethings going on due to their kids. My son loved his teachers and administrators to include the Principal. He stated there are things that happen that he was not happy with and did not want to go back. Had nothing to do w the teachers or administration. We are minorities and I have always been treated with the outmost respect from each principal on all 3 levels. I am disappointed some May feel this way but me and my family bleed GAC all day. GAC 4 life. Happy holidays

My husband and I arrived at our Airbnb ill prepared for the morning. Our kitchen was equipped with a Keurig and some K- cups. We are such that we will decline K-cups and forge on to find good coffee. Off to a rough start in Normal Town Athens we happened to walk past Athens Cooks with cafe tables filled with good looking food and happy patrons on the outside and the smell of coffee inside--Rich smelling coffee. My husband had a double espresso which was pulled perfectly and I had a beautiful cortado served in a delightful, little glass. The was perfect and well worth the wait as it was now basically lunch time. We shared a fabulous pastrami sandwich with pickled beets, Gouda, and arugula and a cup of the freshest, crispest, most flavorful watermelon gazpacho I have ever had. I think I might be ruined. The staff were friendly and helpful. On the inside is a very large shared dining table which seems to be a fun place to gather. The menu is inventive for lunch and the food is well prepared. I will return when back in Athens and highly recommend.

The one I was seeking was too heavy for me, but I wanted to buy local so I chose a different, more expensive one. The only color they had in store was baby blue, so I agreed to buy a red one from their warehouse, paying upfront. When I picked it up the salesperson (same one who sold it to me), handed me a shopping bag and sent me on my way. I trusted them and didn't look in the bag. Thirty minutes later, a $267 tea kettle is rattling around my trunk. No box, no paperwork, nothing. The salesperson handed me the bag without saying anything!! Any reputable business would let you know the situation, perhaps offer a discount, and give you a choice about whether you still wanted the item. I returned the item and will never be back again. When this business goes down, they will only have their own questionable business practices and poor customer service to blame. (btw, their breakfasts are super oily and disgusting)

I think it is because I brought in my old shoes and the guy looked at the tread wear and it is pretty even. He pulled out 3 different brands of shoes and had me try them all on. I felt no pressure to purchase one brand over the other. He told me immediately the prices of each and walked away to let me choose. Another store associate came over while he was helping another customer and asked if I had any questions or if there were other specifications for the shoes I required. She and he were very helpful. Brad also evaluated the size and shape of my foot, and prepped me with a few pointers prior to trying shoes on. I can't thank him enough for being so rad and patient with my questions and concerns too. I scored a great pair of shoes with confidence in attaining my running goals and no buyers remorse! This is the standard of excellence in customer service and I can't wait to come back for another pair. Awesome.

Jeremy is extremely knowledgeable and meets you at your knowledge level. I can only speak to the drum lessons, but they have 2 drum kits next to each other in a back sound-proof room, so he can show you something and let you try it out next to him. The sessions are very laid-back and he made me feel very relaxed getting things wrong and learning the right way. Since he knows multiple instruments, he often pulls out his bass or guitar and plays along with you. He teaches from a list of songs you know and are familiar with. My favorite genre is metal or alt rock so far I've learned Metallica, Fallout Boy, Paramore, Breaking Benjamin, among others. The lessons are a really great deal in my opinion, my price comes out to $100 for two 1-hour lessons. Can't beat that. They're very flexible on time and dates, and if you're running late or something else, he's very understanding. I couldn't recommend this place and instructor more. If you're on the edge of thinking of learning an instrument, take the leap and just hit the contact button on the website. I didn't regret it and these lessons are the highlight of my week.
