We booked our services w Baby Pastel for our daughters 1 year, but w everything that's been going on w Corona we had to cancel. When we asked for our deposit back, the owner refused ‍. The money n deposit is not a big deal to me but refusing to give a deposit back for an event that absolutely can't take place due to no ones fault is saddening. I would be more than happy to let them keep the deposit if there was any services rendered to date. We had many other vendors lined up for the event we had to cancel and not one even hesitated to refund our deposit. read more

Baby Pastel is an event planning business geared mostly towards planning out the design of a Korean child's First Birthday known as Chut Dohl. My daughter's Chut Dohl was just around the corner when I realized that there was no way I would be able to handle all the designing, planning and execution of her party, on top of being a full-time mom, part-time clinician and my own housekeeper. There were too many specific details and requirements that I just wouldn't have the time and resources to accomplish. So I referred to a website called Korean1stbirthday.com and eventually came across Baby Pastel's listing. SO EASY. Clare Han, the proprietor, responded to my email request within 24 hours. Soon after that, we easily scheduled a proper meetup in person. This designer was very sweet, patient, understanding and even put up with my horrible Korean. Our meeting was just under an hour and we took care of all the details in that time, and I knew then that I had nothing to worry about. Best part, I didn't have to order a bunch of things or drive all over Southern Cali shopping for party supplies. Clare has everything you'd ever want and need. If she doesn't, then she'll make it for you. And you don't necessarily have to be that original in the styling of party's theme. This lady's got a website full of previous parties she's done, so you can just pick and choose different elements to make it your little one's Dohl special to him/her and personal. BEAUTIFUL. AMAZING. On the evening of my daughter's Dohl, Clare set up for over 3 hours. Everything came out beautifully! All of our guests commented on how GORGEOUS and ADORABLE my daughter's main, photo and welcome tables looked. I appreciated all the tiny little details Clare added to make the party that much more special. Nothing about it seemed garish or tacky. It was far more than I expected. She brought ALL the supplies, set up, stayed for the party and cleaned up afterwards. The PEACE OF MIND alone was money well spent. BTW, Clare has some set price points but she is willing to work with her clients. Working with Baby Pastel was the best decision I've ever made in my daughter's dohl planning process. Clare's work is so beautiful on her website and I had no doubt my daughter's party would turn out amazing, however, she exceeded all my expectations by 1000 percent. I gave her the color theme, and showed her a couple of examples of what I loved from her previous parties, and she took it from there to create something beautiful and stunning and yet so personal and different for us. I've been communicating with Clare for nearly 2 months. We met to discuss my son's birthday party. She had told me that she had another event on the same day as my son's party, but she would be able to work on my event because it was at the same venue. My event was during lunch and the other event was dinner. Then she unexpectedly TEXTS me 1.5month before my son's party to tell me that she cannot work on my event. REALLY?!
