My son attended Babyworld for 2.5 years, from ages 1-3, and we had a wonderful experience with them! All the teachers were so loving and kind. They always greeted us warmly and looked happy to be with the children. I appreciated how they spoke positively about my son, sharing how much they liked him and what he talked about during the day. They communicated his likes and dislikes with me regarding his diet so I could plan accordingly. I could feel their love for him. I also appreciated how engaged they kept the children with various activities such as cooking, painting, arts and crafts. My son really enjoyed his time there. Also, their holiday parties are the best! They go all out and make it so fun for the children and the families. They brought Santa for Christmas, bunnies for Easter, and a train for Halloween. We highly recommend Baby World. Our son started in the infant room and "graduated" at age 3. We enjoyed every room and group of teachers, and he was always happy and excited to go to school. We never faced any separation anxiety, and I thank the teachers for that! During our time we saw no teacher turnover, which speaks to the good management of the school and the dedication of the teachers. They greet (at least pre-Covid) your child with a warm hug and welcome them in. Some of the teachers have become like family and we will miss them terribly. They organize fun celebrations for the holidays and put on plays or bring in trains or petting animals or parades. There are cameras in the kids' rooms but no noise (which I prefer as it offers the providers some privacy). I was never concerned about my child's safety there, but I did enjoy checking in every once in a while to see him reading or dancing or playing with friends. Haidee and Elvie do a great job of running the school, even in challenging times under various and confusing shelter in place orders. They were quick to install Covid safety protocols (including frequent staff testing) and open back up this summer. We so appreciate everything they have done for our son and dedication to their work. Just an update that our second one recently went through the school, and it was an awesome experience. Many pre-pandemic family participating activities were canceled due to Covid regulations but the school tried its best creating fun for the little ones. The new app streamlines communication between school and parents and I LOVE all the photos and videos they share with us almost every day. Leaving your baby and going to work (or wherever) is not easy. I was fortunate to have my baby at Baby World from 7 months to 26 months. I am forever grateful to the staff and Mamas there for their love and nurturing of my baby. (My child still calls her first teacher Mama, and often refers to me as Mama Smita. I'm cool with that since it means she was very happy there.) I was looking for a school style daycare with cameras. I hear too many unpleasant stories about home daycares at work and I liked the idea of there being a lot of teachers. That way, there are regulated things like "breaks." When you are looking after little ones, breaks and having back up is so important. Baby World has Nest Cameras all over and you get a secure log in for them to watch your child all day long. The areas are separated by age and the teachers are mindful of where children should be based on California requirements for care centers and the developmental stage of the baby. I always felt great knowing my child was well fed at Baby World. Often the teachers would offer me suggestions on what I could do to make my child eat more or more variety. I also knew that they were great with diapering-- we never had a diaper rash. They were on top of things like cold/flu symptoms, calling us when appropriate; also they get that children often have runny noses and took care to keep her face clean and not send her home for something that wasn't a real sickness. Sleep was great-- they tap the babies to sleep and my child got hours of sleep there. In fact, eating and sleeping are so routine at Baby World, that we worried on weekends that she was not as well fed or rested since we couldn't do it as well as them. As the children grew, music, dance and art came into the picture and we watched our little girl develop there, especially in language. In addition to speaking English fluently, she also has picked up on some Mandarin and Spanish. I can't say enough positive things about Baby World and am forever indebted to the staff there. I really wanted to like this place. I really did but I can't help but feel that I was discriminated against. When I called the first time the place had openings. Then I went on site after a lot of back and forth for getting a simple tour. And when I got there I couldn't help but notice the surprised looks that I was black. They asked me so you leave around here with a tone of surprise. How can I leave in Los Altos ? A quick look around i did not see one black kid. No diversity. I still loved the fact that the facility had cameras so I could see my little one so I decided to sign her up anyways. when I reached out to sign up same day as my tour, I was told there was no spot left anymore. I have to check in with owner they said. Strange. I then asked owner about the wait list? Never heard back. I find it really strange that the owner decides when there is a spot and who gets it. You can never know just by calling or touring. You have to wait for an email from the owner. To me that looks like some discrimination and something shady going on behind the curtains. If I am wrong, then make the reservation process transparent and be more diverse. read more

They are incredibly loving with the kids and do lots of fun and educational reading and STEM activities. My son was there from age 6mo to when he started preschool 2y10mo. They don't have the newest shiniest facilities but everything is clean and well kept. I've recommended BW to colleagues and friends. If I did it again I would send my son there all over again. We moved from another way more expensive and "state of the art" facility to BW because the teachers really care about the kids and it shows. My son attended Baby World since he was 8 months old until he was 3 years. And now, my daughter is the one going, she started at 8 months old and is now 2 years old. What can I say? Teachers The teachers are wonderful, they are always there for the kids; they are patient, kind and truly love the children. When we were touring daycares, I was clear that Baby World was the one for us because the teachers were holding the children, talking to them, singing to them, it is a very special environment. Throughout the years, we have come to know the whole team at Baby World and we are truly impressed, we could not leave our children with anybody else! It really feels like family, my children's teachers have been and are partners, they always keep me posted and go the extra mile for my children. I could not be happier with them! Curriculum Depending on the class and the year, you will have different activities for the kids. They bring in a teacher every week for music class. In addition, the kids always go out to play under supervision. Be prepared to receive a big folder with a lot of art. When my son graduated, we received a huge binder with all his work during the years, it was very moving! Extras The cameras are a plus, you know you can connect at any time and see with your own eyes what it is going on. Opening hours are very generous. If we have ever been late after their closing time, the teacher in charge of our kid has never been upset, always waiting kindly and playing with our kid. Management They do a great job listening to your feedback and keeping the lines of communication open. They are also very flexible if you have travel plans or if you are away a few months on summer/winter vacation. In conclusion, both my children have grown up to be happy kids; they are confident, kind, and love to play! Their first letters, they learned them at Baby World, their first songs they learned them there! My daughter is often sad when it is the weekend and she doesn't get to go and my son loves to go back, play there and see his teachers, even if he is now an alumnus! Well the other reviews basically say it all. This place is fantastic. Words really can't describe how happy we were with the folks at Baby World. They made our life so easy, and did an unbelievable job of taking care of our 2 kids. We never came across any teachers that we did not like. Also, there is not a lot of turnover. As parents we always felt that when we dropped our kids off that they were in great hands, because the teachers at Baby World truly love all the kids they watch. It showed on their faces when we handed them off each morning, and then when we picked them up. For a parent that is an incredible feeling to know that your kids are going to have a great time each day. When we picked our kids up they would be in a great mood. People come up to us and mention how intelligent our son is, and we think a lot of his intelligence is attributed to the fact that the teachers at Baby World did a great job of teaching him. Baby World is GREAT! As first time parents, we were very nervous about putting our daughter in full time daycare. The staff eased our fears and took wonderful care of our baby girl. Besides being attentive to our requests (as every parent has different ones), they provided helpful suggestions for caregiving. The staff at Baby World have been there for a long time (very little turnover), they are wonderful and know how to care for babies. My daughter knows the staff members by name and is more than happy to go to "school" in the morning. As a parent, you want to know that your child is safe, healthy, happy, and growing, Baby World offers all of that. Negatives: 1. Baby World is for kids 0-2 -- so we will need to find a new daycare / preschool soon. If only we could continue here! 2. The outdoor playground needs a new floor. We LOVE love love Babyworld. As new parents we had a lot of anxiety about putting our baby into daycare but we're really happy to have found this place. We've had our little one there for almost a month now and it's been great. The ladies who work there are all very nice and baby has smiles for them every morning, she's a pretty fussy baby and they have so much patience with her, changing it up and trying different things to keep her happy. I've dropped in early lots of times and they've been holding her and/or playing with her every time. The director is lovely too, she seems to be there all the time which is really reassuring and has been really patient with all our various questions. Another essential for us was that the place was clean and they keep the place absolutely spotless, every time I show up there is always someone in the kitchen scrubbing toys etc, and each little area is immaculate. Finally the cherry on top is that they have a webcam set up so we can log in from work & see our baby all day, Nice! read more

Our experience with Baby World has been fantastic. I was debating nanny vs day care but I am so glad that I made the choice to send my daughter to Baby World. The staff has been there for a long time, they are all loving, caring, and experienced. My daughter was very happy to be there. Everyone at the day care knew my daughter's name which was impressive. I also like the fact that they separate the babies by their milestones. My daughter started off in non mobile room then into mobile room. They have milestone appropriate toys. In the mobile room, she enjoyed standing up on their standing playing ground. Also I was impressed with the fact that they wash my daughter's bottom half when she had bad #2 in the sink to prevent her from getting rashes. I've never seen other day cares do that. Video camera was a plus. Although I only watched it for the first couple of days and then stopped. We had to unfortunately leave for a personal reason but we would highly recommend Baby World! read more

BabyWorld has been wonderful for our son! He started at the school when he was just over 5 months old and he will be two in just a few short weeks. He has been through just about every class from infant through the toddlers and we have been thrilled with each and every teacher he has had. As first time parents, we were nervous about putting our son in daycare full time but he has loved every minute of it and has made friends with many children who have come up through the program with him. This is not an academic school but our son has still managed to have a basic grasp on letters and shapes, and can consistently count to 10 at 23 months. The school also does a great job of introducing them to age appropriate songs, art and movement. We are leaving BW at the end of the month for "big boy school" and we are truly sad to go. Everyone in the entire school has been wonderful and helped us raise a wonderful, bright, and fun-loving little boy. I sent my baby to Baby World purely because they have a camera. I though things could not be bad since I can watch how my baby is doing in real time. When my baby was actually there I found this camera is almost useless. 1. The sound is completely turned off. Most of the mornings when I was physically in the baby room I saw babies crying loudly, but looking at the camera image you have no idea whether your baby is crying. I asked them about the sound problem. They told me it was turned off purposely. 2. Baby image is far, small and blurry. I have never been able to see babies' faces through the camera. You literally will not know which peanut on the computer screen represents your baby if your baby wears the same color as another baby. Video camera is a big selling point. I believe many parents, like me, are willing to pay extra because of this. Sadly, it's not helpful as you would hope. Ignoring the camera there are a lot of good services with much lower tuition. Comparing with other daycares this center's overall baby care quality is about average, based on my experience. read more

My son attended Baby World from 4 mos - 2 years. We still talk about how wonderful a place it was almost 2 years later. The running joke in our house is that every time we dropped by, a teacher was holding or hugging him. The staff is very loving, and the associate director knows all the families. She and the owner often help fill in where needed. The scariest experience is leaving your baby with "strangers" for the first time, even if you have done it with your older children. The school was very accommodating to let me drop my son off for a few hours the couple of weeks before he officially started to get him used to the place. While I was nursing, I would come at lunch to nurse him. It was no issue with them. They would time his bottle feedings so that he would be ready to nurse when I got there. There are many staff members who have been there for many years. They like getting the kids outside in the fresh air. When the kids are able to sit up, they go for buggy rides, which are so cute! The school is very clean. The areas are safely padded, where needed. The staff is responsive to any concerns I may have had. We enjoyed the holiday activities and potlucks (ie. Easter, Christmas) but on by the school. It was a great way to socialize with the other families. We still keep in touch with some of the families we met while at BW. It was such a nice community. read more

The website currently states, "now accepting infants". My husband contacted the facility and the Assistant Director over the telephone noted, "yes, we have infant openings for November." On the day we were tour, my husband had rescheduled his meetings to receive a message stating, "no openings until April 2019"---the tour was cancelled. In 48 hours, the information changed so abruptly that no one there seems to know what is currently going on at their facility. We called back to then inquire about the real opening schedule and that employee stated December 2018. We reside a few streets away and now understand why all our friends send their children and infants to Stepping Stones or had a in-home nanny. From the messages and phone conversations received, this facility seems disorganized; not all employees and management appear to be on the same-page. Please proceed with caution. read more

My twin boys are going to Baby world since they were 6 months old. they are now 2.5 yrs. Pros: the teachers are very compassionate the staff is very nice to work with, they listen to your concerns and address them for sure the facility is clean and cleaned periodically the owner is very good, she offers tips to handle my twin's tempter/tantrums and very nice to work with. she is a mom of twin boys herself. good outdoor activities webcam - huge plus, you can monitor your kids activities all the time. they take pics and send updates via cell ph as and when needed. daily reports, sometimes they miss out on some details ... lots of fun activities for kids. good outdoor activities and periodic celebrations and outings. cons: one teacher resorted to showing my kids shows on cell ph to calm them down I immediately confronted her but she refused to accept it. some kids have running nose all the time but are not attended to on time. they don't offer potty training assistance. I tried a lot to get their help, while they did assign a person temporarily that did not help. they kept discouraging me to postpone it and saying my kids were not ready. Other daycares I know offer excellent support in this regard. Their 2-3 yr old ratio is a little too much for the teachers to handle. 1:12. It is more like 1:8 or 1:9 mostly. as with any day care kids do fall sick often. I felt it was a little more but that could be due to twins... read more

Cheesy name, but a great daycare facility. The women who work there are extremely friendly to the parents and attentive to the kids. They greet you when you arrive, they make an effort to know your child's likes and dislikes, and they keep the place immaculate. Everyone who works there seems happy to be there, and I couldn't feel better about leaving my son with them every day. If it were less expensive it would be perfect, and I'd give it five stars. While this is the upper end of expensive for baby care (and when I say "upper end" I mean "the most expensive we saw" of this type) it's worth every penny. The staff there is excellent and consistent, and they're so excited to see my son every morning. He's 8 months old and has been going there for 5 months so far. He absolutely adores them. Whenever we go pick him up or just drop in, there's a pretty high chance that he's being played with or held. They give him great care and pay lots of attention to him, and are wonderful at communicating anything important they've observed over the day or trends they're seeing. He's always pretty darn happy when we arrive in the evenings to pick him up, and it's plain he's enjoyed his time there. The facility is also beautifully well-kept, and they're religious about keeping everything clean. Our guilt about putting our son in day care at all was really helped by knowing we were leaving him in good hands. I heartily recommend them! read more

Our son attended Baby World since he was a few months old and is about to "graduate" now that he is turning 3. BabyWorld is a warm place where all the teachers help each other and work together to make the kids feel welcome, comfortable, and safe.. At Baby World they continue to invest in improvements. Replacing old equipment, getting new toys, new books, music, etc. They also hold many parties and find reasons for celebrations that include external performers to expose the kids to new experiences (birds, zoo, train rides, baloons, etc.) For almost three years now our son always wanted to go to school in the mornings and is never in a hurry to leave when we pick him up.. We also noticed that he learned many new things that we didn't teach him. Clear signs that things are going well. Above all, the teachers are warm, caring, and with endless patience, which are essential traits when working with this age group. Couple of negatives: 1. Your kid will come home with lots of artwork which you will then have to proudly dispaly on the fridge and store till he/she is 20. 2. School is closed on major holidays... We love baby world and can't say enough good things about it. Our 2 year old has been going there since he was 4 months old and we recently started our second child there. We are excited to see them expand the ages they accommodate and hope to keep our kids there as long as we are able to. 1 - The teachers are great. One of the things I noticed when I first visited was how the teachers were neither bored nor stressed out. Even with the little ones the teachers were fully engaged in interacting with the kids. Plus I've never picked up on any inter-staff quarrels or issues. They all seem to work well together and many of them have been there for 3 years or more. There is very little turnover and the new teachers are there because of the expansion of their programs, not replacing anyone leaving because no one leaves. 2 - They have a web cam in each classroom. It's so nice to be able to peak in on my child during the work day. Even better are the times when I peak in and see one of the teachers hugging or kissing or playing with my child. It is easy to see they are cared for. 3 - The teachers are great. I remember once when my oldest was still only a few months old we saw the teacher of the older kids as we came in and she said hello to my son by name. I was so impressed that she knew who he was and he wasn't even in her class yet. 4 - My son eats more there than he does at home. I don't know why he eats better at Baby World, but he's so skinny that I'm glad to know he eats more there. 5 - They have part time options. 6 - They put on great holiday parties. I went for an interview to work as an employee there, the classrooms, the staff, the owners were so friendly and nice that its a great place to start with. The children are given all around development and great care. The facilities are up to date. If you are a parent then I highly recommend this place. I would give Baby World of Los Altos more than five stars if I could. We are so lucky that we stumbled upon this hidden day care for our son. My son started at Baby World in September of 2011. I was immediately taken in by the chucking and cooing of kids of all ages all day long. I checked out at least 20+ day cares in Mountain View, Sunnyvale and Los Altos. I just loved the way all the kids in all rooms were so happy and making happy sounds that you would expect kids to make when they are ecstatic. Our son after exactly two years is a self confident, well mannered, self reliant, well spoken kid. He speaks full sentences and makes stories...he is now the story teller of the family with a great imagination, inquisitive mind and logical reasoning. He knows his ABC's, numbers and colors, shapes. The teachers in all the rooms from 3 months to 3 years know my son and not one teacher has left in these two years. As I understand they have been there forever. Considering that they are a decent size day care, all the teachers are personally involved with the children. My child and I were greeted pleasantly no matter how rough the going was, they day care is "squeaky clean" as my son says everyday, all the toys are hand washed every day in the evening. And I witnessed it every day for the last two years. Our son had a positive response to the name of every teacher and care provider. We talk about stories from school every single day. Baby World has a camera in every room which adds to our security. If you are looking for a day care where your child will thrive and you will have peace of mind, please check out Baby World. I love working with Haidee, Sanela, Elvie, and team. Every one of the staff is so welcoming and somehow everyone knew our names by Day 1. How is this possible with a rotation of 30, 40 babies to take care of? My boy usually sees his friends and the toys and doesn't look back. He has so much fun and they are always doing educational activities, reading, music, or dancing when I come to pick him up. It's nice to have access to cameras so I can take a peek when I miss him during the day. They got him on predictable nap schedule which was new for us, and very much welcomed! They just had a big holiday party and my baby got to sit on Santa's lap. BW is the best, it's worth every penny. read more

I love this place. My son has been going here for a few months now. Whenever we arrive in the morning, he squeals yay, and when I pick him up at night, he says bye to his teachers. He's learning both English and Spanish, and they use a play-to-learn philosophy with the kids. There are so many toys at this place, which is great, because I don't have to buy them all. Also, you prepare the meals for your child so you know exactly what they are eating when they are away from home. Another thing I like about this place is the baby cams. This daycare is amazing. My husband and I are first time parents and of course we were nervous about sending our precious baby to daycare. Our daughter LOVES going to "school." The moment we get there she leaps our of our hands to Sanela, Mira or any other teacher. What a great feeling that is to know that your child loves her teachers! All of the other reviews are correct. They often give advice and I welcome it openly because they have the most experience with children. I love this place and all of the teachers care so much about our baby that I dread the day that I have to promote her into a new school. Cameras aren't the greatest but I can always spot my baby so I'm fine. I don't mind that they don't have sound because I don't care to hear babies crying. It's a daycare- kids cry and it's often like a domino effect. I wish that this place took credit card because I'm missing out on tons of points every month but *shrugs shoulders* what can you do. Baby World is the most amazing daycare facility! Our daughter started there at 4.5 months. She is now 18 months old and absolutely loves going to daycare. The staff turnover is extremely low - most have worked there for several years - and all of the teachers are excellent. The facility is immaculate, the caretakers are engaging and all seem to enjoy the children and their jobs. Child teacher ratio is 4:1 and is strictly enforced. Quite literally we have not had one complaint in the 14 months our daughter has been enrolled. Tuition is expensive, but well worth the cost. Our daughter is confident, outgoing and happy at BabyWorld, and there is no doubt she feels loved by the childcare providers. We have not had any problem with her getting sick from the other children, and we have never had to worry that she is not getting the attention or care she needs and deserves. As first time parents we were really hesitant to send our new baby to daycare, and heavily considered having one parent stay home. We now know not sending her to BabyWorld would have been a mistake. She is absolutely thriving! I am forever grateful to Baby World and give them the highest possible recommendation. read more

Baby World is amazing and I give it a solid five stars. We researched several options for our first daughter, and, thankfully, chose Babyworld. The staff was excellent - they were all very concerned and involved. They also have a great system in place for feeding, napping, etc. that worked real well, and actually improved our home routine. The security fence and room layouts allowed me to leave for work each day and feel confident that my child was okay. That's not an easy thing to accomplish, as any concerned parent knows! The holiday parties were great and the kids all had a ball; they have special events like an Easter egg hunt on Easter, a Halloween party, etc. When it came time for our second child to go there wasn't even a moment's hesitation; we knew for sure that Babyworld was the right fit. My daughter has been going to Baby World since she was 4.5 months and now she is almost 3. We couldn't have found a better day care for her. All the teachers are very caring, nice and friendly. They engage with them, sing to them, indulge them, and truly care about them. I've always had a peace of mind leaving my daughter here while I work, knowing she will be happy.
