I really didn't want to have to write this review, but I felt like I really needed to because I feel that I don't want other people to have the same experience that I did. I was referred to Babylon by a lot of my friends because they all said great things about the piercer. They said that she was nice and does a great job and to definitely go there because you will get a really good job done. I also read the reviews and I think that the person that they saw was Jess. So I went with my mom and I got the notarized consent form to get a nostril piercing. When I got there, I was told that Jess no longer works there and they said that the new piercer will take care of me so I didn't really think anything of it because I felt that if the reviews were good about the old piercer the new piercer should be just as good so I decided to get the piercing because I was already there with my mom. My nose piercing was not good at all. She was shaking the whole time and made me feel very uneasy. The whole nose piercing was very painful. After it was done, it was so uncomfortable that it made me scared and I had to go to another shop to have it looked at by another piercer. That piercer told me that it was the wrong jewelry and that it was too small and not the right thing to be pierced with to start. I had to get it changed and my mom had to pay for not only my nostril piercing at Babylon but also for the other person to put in a new jewelry to make the pain go away. She also didn't even tell me how I needed to take care of it. The piercer that fixed my nostril piercing told me that I was supposed to be given aftercare instructions and I was not told anything. This was supposed to be something that I was looking forward to and it only ended up being very painful and unpleasant for me. I don't understand why if somebody doesn't work at a place anymore that people are made to think that they do when the reviews are good. I was expecting a good experience like all my friends had. I am definitely not going back. I hope that anybody reading this doesn't go here either. read more

I went there to get a simple hoop for my nose that is already pierced. She said she only had thin hoops, I said ok no problem. Then she said she didn't have her normal ones she uses. I said well can you do this one in the meantime? She had a very difficult time inserting a small hoop into an existing hole and then I kind of felt sorry for her and gave her a $10 tip above and beyond a $20 charge. I looked at it in the mirror there and it looked great. Drive away and within minutes realized after a lot of effort on her part as well as using a tool, the hoop had a big gap and slipped right off. She blamed the type of jewelry but in my mind it seemed like I wasn't asking for a big thing and she is a piercer so I would think she would have the right jewelry or at least know how to work with what she has. I called her but she only offered working on it further which I was not willing to do she did not offer a refund. Thank goodness I did not go there for an actual piercing and would not recommend anyone else do that either. read more

Carla was awesome! Clean, quick, and nice. I have to admit, I was a little nervous coming in to get my tragus done, but the fact that they are mostly working by appointments make it all the better. When I walked up, she was just finishing a walk in and after that wasn't anyone else in the shop until I left. This was my second time coming here for a piercing and my experience was great. I got a tragus piercing a few years ago at another shop but I felt NO pain when Carla did it, so I highly recommend her! It's minutes to midnight on a Saturday night and I'm determined to find a tattoo parlor to satisfy my craving. The weekend we saw our oldest son off to camp, hubby surprised me with a stay-cation at a secluded villa in Fort Lauderdale. He secretly had my bags packed (with help from our kids), and as soon as we left the airport from dropping off our son, he said we weren't going home. You could only imagine how excited I was. We had a blast that day on the beach, having brunch, some snacks, enjoying the warmth of the water, just the two of us. That night at dinner, sipping on some delicious wine, I had an uncontrollable urge to get a tattoo. Whenever things like this happen I definitely follow my heart. We jumped on Yelp and our search lead us to a couple of places. After calling around, hubby spoke with Lisa at Babylon Tattoo. It was apparent from the beginning how well they hit it off on the phone, so we chose her. She didn't mind that it was late and waited for us to get there. As soon as we stepped inside we knew we made the right decision. Lisa was so cool and just knew her stuff. I'm smiling right now at how good the moment felt, how at home I felt with her. You would have sworn we met before. I told her exactly what I wanted and where I wanted it. She took some time to draw it out and about 45 minutes later it was done. Her masterpiece was done and it was amazing!! Every time I look at my arm I think about how great of a job she did. She is the best I've ever had and currently I have 4 sets of tattoo's. In December 2018 I got piercings at Babylon from their piercer, Carla. She is a nice person (more on that below) and the experience was fine, it didn't hurt much and I thought it went well. UNTIL it was time for me to change the barbell... Five months after getting the piercings, they were healing well, I had no issues at all with the healing process. So I went to a body piercing/fine jewelry shop to treat myself to good quality body jewelry. The gentleman there did a consultation on me to decide which type of rings would best suit me. During the consultation, he told me that not only was one of my piercings crooked, but neither of them were pierced in the proper place for that body part. I'm so bummed! It's funny bc I always noticed my piercing wasn't straight but I thought maybe it was just me. To make matters worse, he said that one of the piercings being crooked was not the only issue. They were also pierced at different heights, the piercings were too shallow for that body part, the jewelry used was really cheap, etc. I went to a different body piercing shop the next day to get a second opinion and was told the same things! As soon as that guy saw them, w/o even touching them, he said they're not right. I've decided to take them out and let the piercings close and I will get it re-pierced correctly in a couple months. Despite this, the reason I'm giving Babylon a 2 star rating instead of 1 star is when I called Babylon and told Carla what happened, she was super professional! She asked me to text her pics of the piercings, which I did. She agreed one is crooked and that she did not pierce in the proper place and apologized saying she doesn't know what happened. I asked for a full refund ($74) which she immediately agreed. I admire this b/c many places would've denied any fault, blamed me, and/or refused a refund. She took full responsibility and refunded me all my money the same night! Very commendable of her. It's still unfortunate I wasted 5 months of healing plus the money I spent on aftercare just to have to do it all over again b/c of the piercer's errors. It will cost me over $100 to have them pierced at the new place I have chosen, but at least I will have peace of mind they will be correct. Carla is a nice person, but I would never recommend Babylon to anyone for piercings. read more
