This was less than the 48 hours notice they state on their web site, but when I mentioned this to the staffer I spoke with she said it would no problem and she'd refund the charge. One month later, no refund, after my phone call a second and different staffer said she'd 'take care of it.' Two weeks later and no refund, I finally speak to the manager who not only goes back on what her two employees told me but then hangs up on me in the middle of my explanation. Save yourself the trouble and get stuff for your kids somewhere more professional.

Yea so this place…read moreseemed to have a little bit higher than average prices but almost all of the equipment rental places are in Kona or Hilo so if you're looking for convenience this is the only game in Waimea-- except that it's basically not in Waimea because they say they have no storefront here and just a warehouse. This is where the price gouge comes in-- everything on their website is at least $25 more because of the delivery fee they don't disclose until *after* you've made a reservation, which carries a $25 cancellation fee if you don't catch the sneaky price-doubling charge in time. Either way, they're gonna try to get that $25 out of you, even if you didn't want delivery and no services were rendered. I put in the notes of my reservation that I wanted to pick up my rental from the 65-1000 Kawaihae Rd address listed on the google page and instead of proactively emailing me to say that this wasn't possible, they just made the reservation anyway with the attempted delivery charge. I only found out that pickup was impossible by contacting them to make the correction about the charge. What terrible business practices. I gave them one extra star because they weren't jerks about canceling.

The selection is small, which is okay - they have some quality baby products, but the service (in my personal experience) has been less than favorable. My husband and I have been to the store 3 times in the past few months (looking obviously pregnant and being the only people in the store), and we were completely ignored. Maybe if the staff were a little more interested, we'd be a bit more inclined to spend the extra money to keep a local business going...but since they don't seem to care, we will continue to shop online.

The only reason I give this place 4 stars is because it can be a little pricey so I mainly just buy gift there and shop for myself online since it's not a rush.
