More so in the age of Corona. Well today was a very pleasant experience at the Eastern Hills Mall. I started by taking my unneeded electronics there at 11 AM. This mall was hosting the free electronics waste recycling drop off event in their parking lot. It was so well organized. A company by the name of sunnking was there to take old electronics off your hands. A great service to the community. After that event, I browsed through the Raymour and Flanigan furniture store. This is where the old AM&As, and BonTon used to be, if you recall. Buffalo old timers like me will remember! Then I walked past the Duff's chicken wing restaurant ( yum yum) to browse and check out some very exciting new businesses at the end of the mall where the old Sears used to be. The BFLO store, the Home Today store, the BFLO Events Center (not open yet), and the Chrusicki Bakery /Pierogi store are just refreshing and exciting additions to the Eastern Hills Mall. I think this mall really has potential. I hope once the fear of corona has passed, the mall will pick up more business and folks will truly appreciate what it means to shop in person again. It was really nice to be able to walk into a store, browse through merchandise, speak with the salesperson. That's the way humans interact. The social aspect is what made the experience exceptional today at this mall. The only department store left unfortunately is JCPenney. Otherwise there are many interesting stores when would not expect to see in the mall setting. Pet stores, dog training businesses, a realtor office, even a DMV (currently closed due to Covid), Antique collectible stores, a medical fitness center, blood donor organization, to name a few. Came home with a few treats from the Chrusicki Bakery. Due to being in the Orange Zone for COVID, patrons are not allowed to dine at the tables inside the bakery. Decorated so beautifully for the holidays it was so inviting. The entrance with the fireplace and Christmas theme is worth checking out.

We did not look at tag on mattress. Both my husband and I have orthopedic implants. Finally about 45 days or more after feeling this mattress was too soft, but coming off a a 15 year old one was confusing we looked at tag said plush. Returned to store, they first said we could exchange it but then they stalled and back tracked said we waited too long. apparently noted in our file we were fine with it. Each year gets softer more saggy till 2 1/2 years later we had enough. The bed was covered and still looks perfect to eye with no one on it so warrantee not in effect .The salesman first told us if we choose new bed he match the $1599 we paid but when went in to purchase then said take only $200 off making our costs way too high. Do not trust them and convinced their stuff made special for store of inferior quality,. We plan to give the bed away too nice throw away but need to repurchase. If need cheap bed for kid or guest room they probably fine, but not master bed. unless plan keep it for short time. Seen many reviews since similiar our experience delivered wrong bed, not honor sleep guarantee and manufacturer warrantee no on ever gets on any bed they big joke.

From the second you walk in the door, it is difficult to get help. The guy at the desk must be watching an intense movie or something because he was sure engrossed in the computer screen. I needed some breaks and described what I needed to the folks in the back. Out of the blue, some other employee walks up and barks, "That's not what you are looking for," then rolls his eyes and walks away. What happened to the friendly local bike store with staff who were polite? Cyclists are typically a really great community, but why doesn't Bert's follow in that tradition? If you are in a jam and need something quick, this might be the place to go. They need to work on those personal communication skills. Maybe they need to spend more time out riding in the community. I wish I could be more positive about my experience.

I've had great service each time I've been there.

And if nipple shields, tubing and membranes sound more like a strange spring break than breast pump parts, then skip wandering aimlessly through Target's baby aisles and come here instead. The Care Connection can either rent you a hospital grade pump or sell you a pump according to your insurance plan and how it incorporates the Affordable Care Act to cover pumping and supplies. The store will contact your insurance for you and lay out your options, which is great if you are an overwhelmed pregnant person. Speaking of overwhelmed pregnant people, I actually sent my husband here for parts while I was home with our latest baby, and they kindly talked him through everything we would need. The guy does have a PhD, but no boobs, so I wasn't sure how this would work out- I was pleasantly surprised! Beyond the pump and related supplies, the store has many items that are a must have for breastfeeding moms- clothing, bras, pillows, wraps, creams, etc. They even have an interesting supply of edibles- supplements, essential oils and cookies to help boost your supply. This is not in my wheelhouse, but if it's in yours, they have you covered! Finally, the care connection offers many classes such as Breastfeeding 101, Infant CPR, Happiest Baby, Return to Work/Pumping and a class for "Baby Ready Pets" which is not one I have seen before, and I've been around this baby block a few times! While I did not participate in the classes (so many babies at this point) their variety sounds like it would really help prepare new parents or parents looking for a refresher.
