I'm surprised Bacao hasn't been reviewed yet on Yelp, as it seems very popular on other platforms. My husband found it on TripAdvisor, and honestly, if I'd looked at the menu beforehand, I might have tried to talk him out of it. I usually avoid "fusion" restaurants while traveling and prefer authentic local dishes.
However, in this case, I was wrong (don't tell him I said that!). The beef cheeks were outstanding. The menu calls them pork cheeks, but we realized that beef is often referred to as pork in Sevilla. It's just a translation mix-up. This dish was perfect. Tender beef, flavorful jus, and seasoning on point. Truly comforting and delicious!
The lasagna, on the other hand, was a bit dry. The flavor was good, but it definitely needed a sauce. We also tried the cheese plate and croquettes, both of which were enjoyable.
Would I come back? Absolutely for those beef cheeks! read more
