We had the best weekend wine tasting in Walla Walla and much of it due to Nancy and Greg (and Lizzy) of Bacchus & Barley Tours. They are not only great drivers, but wonderful tour guides and very knowledgeable! We had some time in between wineries and they each got us in to taste at a couple we hadn't planned on but loved! Nancy was the sole reason that our Walla Walla experience was so wonderful. I contacted her about a week before my friend and I were going to be there, because I saw that they had dog friendly tours. Little did I know that we were going to be treated with such warmth, kindness, and thoughtfulness! She truly goes above and beyond, even from the initial phone call, in getting to know you and treating you like a friend. We got a flat tire on the drive from Seattle, and Nancy not only drove us to the tire place when we didn't have a functioning car the next day, but also made a huge effort to get us the tires after we had to leave the Walla Walla area. She took us to the best variety of dog-friendly wineries that we would have never chosen ourselves, ones where you could play your own vinyl records, see wonderful views, and taste rose at a women-owned spot. It was a little cold at one of the stops, so she took care of our pup while we did the tasting inside! She knew everyone in the area by name and would introduce us before we started the tasting. We had more fun hanging out with Nancy and getting to know her than we did doing the tastings (although those were absolutely lovely too). The world needs more people like Nancy and Greg, and I feel so lucky to have met them. Thank you both so much for your generosity. We had the best time with our driver guide Nancy! She planned our day around the types of wine we like and took us to wineries we would never have know about or found on our own. They use sprinter vans that are comfortable and have plenty of room for all your guests. They are the perfect guides...getting your guests set up and then stepping back letting you enjoy your time at each winery. We learned a lot about the area on our tour as well. Absolutely, positively would repeat! John and Bacchus Wine Tours came through for us last minute when we decided on Wednesday to to take a wine tour through Sonoma on Friday. They were more than accommodating every step of the way, and went above and beyond our groups expectations. The car was large, extremely clean, and stocked with water and beer! John's knowledge of the area made for excellent conversation between stops. The door-to-door service meant we could enjoy the tastings without worrying about having to stop so someone could be a designated driver. Excellent suggestions of both wineries and lunch. I booked a wine tour of Napa with Bacchus Wine Tours because i felt that they had very reasonable rates. i was just hoping for a nice driver but Bacchus exceded my expectations. They were very nice, quick to respond and easy to book with. Our driver, Rico was GREAT! He was nice, professional, safe, smart and super helpful with arranging and moving around tasting appointments. A couple of the winery's let us crash because Rico was so courteous and professional when working with them. Rich, aka Richie Mayhem, was our fabulous driver for a our full day of wine and fun in the sun. The car (black SUV) was clean and comfy and rode like we were floating on a cloud. John was wonderful! I will definitely be using him when I return. We had a large group of 6 and hadn't done any planning or made reservations. John was able to book an entire day for us in a matter of 15 minutes. I obviously wouldn't recommend this route. We should have done more planning, but John went above and beyond. The wineries were great, and John was a fantastic driver. He even went and picked up lunch for us. If that wasn't enough, John even booked us a winery for the next day, even though we weren't having him drive us the next day. Sodaro Winery was the recommendation and it is not to be missed! For the same price as many other wineries, we had an intimate private tasting. John was knowledgeable and handled our lack of planning like a pro. I can't recommend John enough. read more

We felt the rates were very reasonable, it was easy to book and coordinate dates and John was always punctual. Those are the easy things to get right, not only did they do a great job with the easy things, John was an exceptional person to work with.
