We had a 5 p.m. reservation and were seated right away, which set the tone. The tasting room is well designed with both indoor and outdoor seating, a little chilly for the patio this time, but a great setup for couples or groups of friends. The staff were excellent, breaking down the differences between Bledsoe Family, Doubleback, and Bledsoe McDaniels in a way that actually made sense. As Cab fans in Cabernet country, we expected to go straight red, but the 2025 Elizabeth Chardonnay surprised us, light, crisp, and a great opener. The 2023 Bob Healy Reserve stood out with rich dark fruit, a smooth, structured finish, and just the right touch of oak. Our host added a few extra pours along the way, and with the buy-two-bottles waiver...eight bottles later, tasting was covered. The real win was $20 flat-rate shipping, even to Hawaii, which made it easy to bring Walla Walla home with us.

We tried 5 wines...all were tasty but we particularly enjoyed the last 2... one was a 100% Cab Sauv and the other was 100% Merlot. It's rare to find wines that are 100% one varietal. They don't have a lot but what they have is high quality and crafted with care. What was really cool... was they had a rock as an example of the Rocks that are in the Rocks district. This area is covered in these rocks which are very heavy and big... and the vines seem to thrive in this environment. A Frenchman long ago saw this area and just knew that he could produce wines from grapes grown in this region.

Although the sky was overcast, it was so pleasant to rest our eyes on the clouds grazing over the rolling hills of the valley. A worker asked if we would like a welcome taste of their sparkling rosé, and we happily obliged. It was delicious. Afterwards, I did the tasting with the lighter wines, while my husband did the tasting of the reds. Of course we both shared sips of everything. A different worker gave us wonderful background info and explanations of each wine we sampled. He even suggested that we try one of the wines at the temp it was given, then warm the glass with our hands for a bit to see how it tasted at that temperature. It was really neat to taste the difference. Another worker with a cool turquoise bolo tie checked in on us and refilled our glasses with water. We felt so wonderfully taken care of.
