I contacted C&S Electric as a result of Yelp search results. I requested that technicians install…read morelight fixtures and several new outlets. The office manager, Jessica, initially told me the wrong arrival time and corrected the time the business day prior to the technician's arrival. There was a 10-hour difference in the arrival times so I was left to make plans to be there last minute. The technicians did great work and worked in an efficient manner. However, the handling of my scheduling, invoicing, and additional concerns by the office staff (primarily the manager) was VERY unprofessional. The first concern was that my job was completed on January 4, 2021. I did not receive my invoice until February 22, 2021. The invoice date was January 30, 2020. I contacted the office numerous times (via phone) and indicated my concerns regarding the billing. After I did not receive a response for weeks an email was sent to the office manager, Jessica. The concerns with the bill related to incorrect billing of the number of hours worked, the hourly rate (the business was publicly advertising a rate of their website that was not correct, and was fixed after I brought up the concern), and the seemingly high price of materials that was invoiced. The office did make adjustments to every item of concern, which reduced the invoice by $538.51. A payment was mailed for the revised invoice almost a week later. I had unexpected health issues which prevented me from mailing payment sooner once the issues were resolved. On April 9, 2021, I received an email indicating that a $25 late fee had been added. I promptly responded and informed the office that a check was mailed and likely hadn't arrived due to USPS issues. I provided a screenshot showing that a new check was scheduled to arrive in a few days. I received a VERY unprofessional reply email back from the office manager, Jessica which accused me of making excuses (the USPS nationwide mail issues). The new check that was mailed did not include the late fee, as I do not feel I am responsible for that as I mailed a check that hasn't arrived, as well as my other issues with the business. She then said "if you feel okay doing this to a small business, that is your prerogative. We look forward to receiving your payment soon for work that was completed and you have enjoyed for the last 3 months.". I would like to point out that it took the office almost two of those months to actually bill me for the work. The technicians and quality of work were great, however, I would not recommend C & S due to the hassle and frustration was caused by the office management/staff.

Absolutely THE WORST HVAC company I have ever had the displeasure of working with. I was ripped off…read moreby EX-CEO Matt on two different locations, Mine and my fathers. First I paid for a new Furnace, AC unit, and tankless water heater. After the install I found out instead of installing the SER 16.2 I paid for they installed a 15.4 instead at my house. Both my father and I were told we had sign up for the service contract and that they would service our equipment for free. In the beginning it seemed like a great deal. I also had my water main break and that was all this initial call was for. I was able to fix the main break on my own and did not need the service. It took Whitney so long that they had already installed the AC and furnace but not fixed the water. When I told Matt I didn't need he stated he had all his profit wrapped in that portion and that I would need to pay another 4k... My father had an AC and Furnace. They did not give him the de-humidifier he paid for because the install tech had a dull drill bit and inadequate tools, it took him 4+ hours to drill through the wall. My father offered a better bit and drill, the employee refused. SO he did not get what he paid for either. Fast forward to the after the first winter and my fathers AC is not working. WHiteny comes out and tells him he has a leak, service plan expired (even though they never came out for wither of us) and he would need to pay them. He then called the office and spoke with the office manager who stated he would not have to pay. Later I call I have to my service completed that I paid for at install (more than $4350 after the additional extorted $4000. ) just to find out my service plan expired and I also will need to pay after they completed the service, not before. I call the manager explain the situation let them know I am not going to pay, they say that's totally understandable, the AC unit should not be leaking when barely a year old. THIS WHOLE TIME THEY BILL ME FOR EVERYTHING. My dads service, mine, just everything. I call ask them for the 10th time to straighten out our accounts, explained again the entire situation to Margot. She says she will fix it, and talk with the higher ups and get this resolved. Instead she then Billed my father for services from MY house and his house! This company is hot pile of crap and is the biggest mess I have ever seen. If they continue to harass us over their fraudulent charges and business practices, we will see them in court. You sold me a 16.2 and installed a 15.4 thinking you were slick. You lied about your service plan, and over charges customers because your employees had poor tolls and improper equipment (Install tech tried to drill through a 12" wall with a dull bit and dead right angle battery drill). My father and I expect an apology. Thank you.

They even swept up after themselves when they were done. I mentioned to Shawn about not leaving the doors open to keep the cat from running out and he incorporated my concerns into his kick off huddle with his team before they started. It's worth noting that I previously had a Lowes contractor give me a price for a generator install. Not only did the local Lowes contractor tell some fibs about what was required because of the Michigan Building Code (which I rebutted because I know the code and I offered a copy for him to show me the section right on the spot ) I was offered a lesser quality Generac generator (even after I told him I wanted Kohler) and a small limited circuit manual transfer switch. Nevertheless I sent him on his way and called Shawn. I have never looked back. Not only was Shawn's price reasonable he was lower than the other contractor and I got what I wanted to which was a Koehler generator and whole house automatic transfer switch so I didn't have to pick and choose what I wanted on the panel I am a contractor so I know the system. I highly recommend you call gen pro and talk with Shawn
