After a failed online covid couch purchase, I spent months looking for a new one that met my specific criteria: 100% comfortable, pet friendly, modern, easy to clean, large enough for everyone to lounge on, and not made in China. I'm so grateful to have found Bachman! I ended up buying a floor model and received it within just a few days of purchase. Communication around delivery was perfect. Everyone at Bachman was very helpful and friendly. Ashley was wonderful, and a big help during each of my (three) visits. She also set me up with packaging to return the couch I'd bought online. And she has since sent me options for additional pet-friendly seating for a specific nook I'm looking to furnish. While their online inventory may not be as easy to navigate, I highly recommend visiting Bachman's showroom the next time you're in the market for quality furniture and excellent service. Please do not purchase anything from this store. No customer service. We purchased a couch Aug 2024. We were told it had to be manufactured from Europe so we were told the couch will arrive sometime around Feb2025. It has been over 10 months, we are still without a couch. We sent multiple emails, made multiple phone calls, the manager, Carrie, was very dismissive. No apologies from her, won't even reply to our emails, as much as an acknowledgement. We asked to cancel our order and ask for a refund. However, we get a BS statement stating that they are still talking to their accountant. Absolute trash of a store. I seldom have so harsh an opinion that it compels me to respond in this manner, but Bachman has earned it. We purchased a pair of chairs in September, 2024 ($2,800), and we still have no fulfillment. In spring after original delivery promise, we were told there's a delivery/tariff issue. We could not get anyone on the phone, can't leave voicemail, then several additional calls. Called again two months ago and were told completely different story-- that chairs were damaged in shipment. We get NO updates, NO follow-ups. We've tried to get owner on phone. Both times, "He's not in today." Told he would call us. Not so far. We've asked repeatedly for refund; they refuse. But they refuse to give us any assurance of shipment, delivery, status. I bought a very expensive sofa from them! Within a year 1/2 the cushion began droop and wrinkle The cushion are not detachable so it would make it very difficult to replace the cushion. The manufacture and Bachman try to say it was because of wear and tear 1 my husband and I are senior citizens and live alone so how much wear and tear can two people do? 2 my prior sofa which I got at Colderes furniture store lasted me 15 years and I never had any problems with the cushions! The bottom line is Bachman sold us a poor quality sofa at a very expensive price and now they refuse to take responsibility and fix the problem unless if we pay for it! We purchased a three-piece sectional couch from BACHMAN'S, and it turned out to be defective with uneven, faulty padding, wrinkled fabric, poor and inconsistent support, and a very inconsistent surface that didn't spring back after someone sat on it. We are honestly shocked that BACHMAN'S had provided horrendous customer service with us and defective, shoddy products. We bought the couch in March (thinking it would be our "forever" couch, as we are older) and received it in June. It cost almost seven thousand dollars. We called BACHMAN'S to express concerns less than a week after receiving the couch--and now it's been months of them dragging their feet with poor, contradictory and unprofessional communication; we were told by one sales associate that we could exchange the defective couch for a new one and that we should dispose of the defective one ourselves. Two days later this sales associate called back sobbing, saying Mr. Bachman found out she was "working a deal under the table" and he wanted to take a different direction. We could no longer exchange it. It is completely unclear to us how a high level sales associate can tell us we can return the couch and then call back 48 hours later only to rescind that solution. They required us to take photos of the couch to send to the manufacturer and yet refused to tell us who the manufacturer is. From our experience it's clear that Bachman's does not stand behind their customers. They do not serve the customer when there's a problem. They stand back as if they are simply middlemen in this deal. If that's the case we could have simply dealt with the manufacturer from the beginning. After changing their mind about letting us return it and doing a 180, they said the manufacturer decided they will repair the couch rather than letting us return it for in store credit--which is what we want. They picked up the couch and gave us a replacement couch--which has large rips in, smells bad, was covered in dog hair, and was missing parts. We asked multiple times to speak directly to Mr. Bachman but we were told he won't discuss "service issues" with customers. At this point this is not a service issue. This is a horrendous PR and reputation issue--it's an issue about lying and contradicting and terrible communication. the lack of integrity at BACHMAN'S, along with extremely poor quality in both products and service, has shocked us. I am pretty easy going and not one to write bad reviews, but I was very disappointed with management, very deceitful and lied. Ordered 3 leather sofas. All of them had defects. 2 leather sofas I let them come and repair in my home after it was delivered because they wound not reorder them. The leg on one of the sofa was defected and placed wrong during manufacturing. And the 2nd sofa had a tear in the back. The repair on the tear on the 2nd sofa you can tell it was glued over and looks bad. The third leather sofa which I waited 8 months for came later and also had a tear on the back; I did not accept the delivery and requested my money back for the third sofa. I paid a lot of money for the third leather sofa. Management knew about the tear, but decided to hide it from me and delivered the sofa anyway and told their delivery men that I was okay with the tear. Management was hoping I wouldn't see it, how deceitful. Now they are saying I cannot refund or return because they have the right to repair. When you buy something new, you expect it to be new and free from damage, especially free of tears in the leather furniture. I already accepted 2 furnitures that were damaged. I don't expect all of them to have damage. Management said I would need to speak to the owner. When I asked them to connect me with the owner, they refused. Be aware when buying from here. I can understand that a company may not have control of defects or damage from manufacturer, but having to deal with dishonesty is really disappointing and frustrating. We have bought furniture from many places for our homes. By far this is the worse. Please look over all the term and conditions before buying from here. Management does not care about Loyal Customer satisfaction. Hopefully they let the owner know about my concerns and hopefully I hear from the owner as they promised initially so I can voice my concerns. I would give management 0 star. ​ read more

Have you ever been at a stuffy event where you were made to feel like you should not have gone ... because maybe you were not perceived to be at the same level as the host? Well, go to Bachman for this same feeling. How was i to know that, after the furniture had been sitting for six months due to Covid, that none of it could be directly sold for the floor? How was I to know that a two to four week stated delivery times was closer to six weeks? Why would I expect that when the items finally arrived there would be no offer of delivery, and even more why would I expect the items to be wrapped in protective wrap.... instead of being placed unwrapped on a pallet on the sidewalk? Buyer BEWARE-Bachman DOES NOT STAND BEHIND MERCHANDISE!! I purchased a sofa and two chairs when Bachman's was on Capital Drive- about 3 months before they "went out of business" While they were "out of business" I noticed how badly the sofa looked after people would sit on the sofa. The material began knotting up into little balls, similar to lint balls. I would constantly pick the balls off the sofa in an attempt to get it to look better. As you can imagine, I was pleasantly surprised when I heard they were re-opening, thinking I could get some assistance with the sofa. Not so! I was told it was too late for them to do anything because I brought the sofa in 2017 and there was no warranty. Well, they were "out of business" for a year. It seems to me that they would have provided better assistance to help correct the situation due to them being "out of business" for a year, and it would seem there would be more than a two year warranty on the material of a sofa, based on the amount of money I paid for the sofa. One of the Worst experiences I've ever had with a business. Years ago before Yelp (unfortunately) we built a home and needed allot of furniture.Had bought from Bachmans in the past very nice experiences.I went there looked at a catalog they offer me and choose 5 tables,coffee table,3 end tables and a table for the back of a couch.Hugh sale for them.They had plain black wrought iron legs with glass tops.When tables delivered the legs had big UGLY SILVER PIECES glued onto the legs of the wrought iron.NOT WHAT WAS PICTURED!!! I went back told them what happened it wasn't what I ordered and just wanted a full store credit to reorder other tables.They said I could get a credit they BUT I had to pay a RESTOCKING FEE OF $360.00 It wasn't fair it wasn't what I had ordered,the legs weren't plain wrought iron,it was UGLY!!!!! All I wanted was a full credit and they would NOT do it.The woman that I was talking to would NOT let me talk to the OWNER who was there at the time.He saw what was going on and wouldn't come over to talk to me.I don't think he owns it now this was in 1991.Make sure you know their RETURN POLICY. I purchased a mirror over 3 months ago and was told it would be in stock 4 weeks after the purchase date! I have called regularly to check on the status of my item. Each time I spoke with an administrative staff. I was told something different. 1. Your mirror should be here within a week. 2. I'm checking with the shipper to see if your mirror is in the next shipment. 3. Per the terms within your purchase agreement. We have at least 3 months to fulfill your order! And 4. The most recent excuse. We received your mirror and it was damaged. So we spoke with the company and shipper and we have expedited you another one. No one consulted with me about ordering a new mirror. No one ask if I wanted my money back! She made a calculated decision without my consent! I have received nothing but excuses and lack of accountability from the store manager. She is a liar, extremely unprofessional and had the audacity to tell me that I have a contract with them which means however long it may take for them to fulfill my order. I have no choice but to wait! I asked her multiple times to escalate my concerns to the owner Joe Bachman and she refused! Telling me I can not speak to him. She's is the ONLY person within the company that I am allowed to speak with! I have never in my life experienced this level of unprofessionalism and some one failing to take accountability due to their negligence.
