I was looking online for hairdressers found this one I called made an appointment and I told the…read morelady that I had a complex about hair dressers, I needed someone who listens and doesn't get scissor happy. The lady said " I have someone for you she's the best we have for layers . GREAT!!! I drove an hour to get to this location. Checked in. The lady who was assigned to my hair came to the waiting room and got me . Sat in the chair and told her .. even let her know that I had a complex with scissor, happy hairdressers, then proceeded to let her know , I wanted 1 inch off my length an I wanted my layers trimmed. It's taking me a long time YEARS to grow my hair out this long . I'm very upset and discouraged with hair with hairdressers, they all pay go to school to learn all these techniques . I don't wear hair extensions so I can't hide the slaughtering of my hair . I was so looking forward to having my hair cut done correctly and finding that one hairdresser that I can trust to listens and doesn't take it upon themselves to cut years off somebody's head . I don't understand why they cannot listen to the customer wants. Very unfortunate. I will never put my name and suggest this place. The place is nice ... unfortunately not the quality of the results.

"If I could give more than 5 stars, I would!" Susan at…read moreMassage Envy on College Drive in Lafayette is, without question, "ABSOLUTELY AWESOME!" I mean this sincerely and wholeheartedly--she is an absolute gem. From the moment I walked in until the moment I floated out, the experience was nothing short of exceptional! Let me start by saying this: do NOT let her small frame fool you--Susan is mighty, and her skillset is next-level. She brings such a light, intuitive touch that somehow gets to the root of what your body truly needs. It's almost as if she has a sixth sense for where the pain, tension, or fatigue are hiding. I've had numerous surgeries and chronic aches. She treated me with the perfect mix of technical precision, compassion, and calming energy. Her knowledge of anatomy and physiology was immediately evident, and she never once made me feel like "just another appointment on the books." Susan genuinely "listened" to me--like, really listened. She took everything I told her and fashioned it into a personalized massage that felt like it was designed just for me. Her communication was excellent, but it was her empathy that truly set her apart. I left feeling not just physically better, but emotionally seen and cared for. Her professionalism never wavered, and yet she managed to keep the whole session warm, grounded, and peaceful. And while Susan was the highlight, I have to shout out the entire team. Kate, the director, runs a tight ship--and it shows. Every interaction with the staff reflects the same level of dedication and kindness. Craig is a great massage therapist. Ashlyn at the front desk is a total sweetheart: welcoming, patient, and even willing to help if you accidentally lock yourself in the back seat of your car (ask me how I know)! The entire atmosphere at Massage Envy on College Drive is one of competence, calm, and genuine care. But Susan? She's a true standout in an already stellar group. I can't recommend her highly enough. If you've been on the fence about booking, just do it. Your body (and mind) will thank you! Grace Vidrine Sibley, a weekly client with little money

Although the service provided was good. This is not a business I support whatsoever. After getting…read moremy facial, I was harassed afterwards by a tech who was trying to coerce me into getting a membership as they are going up on their prices soon (during the height of covid). I politely declined many many times. Being harassed is not the reason for the 1 star, nor even the price increase during covid. What I attempted to do is then call each Lafayette location of Massage envy to get more information on this price increase. I called and asked since (both) locations are increasing their prices, does this also correlate to an Employee Wage Increase. I was informed that no, it doesn't, by one location, I was of course disgusted but not surprised. The second Lafayette location I called put me on hold for a manager to answer the phone, the manager then Harassed me for the question, almost outraged and said she was uncomfortable answering the question, though still true, and asked me if I was an employee, a former employee, a news media outlet, or a reporter. No I was a customer, and will not be returning, haven't been back since. These sick business practices like this (especially from a place who already charges so much) unfortunately don't hinder the franchise owners or higher ups, it only is a direct loogie/spit in the face to employees who work there. I feel sorry for the employees and only suggest they do what is needed to be treated fairly, this is the United States after all and they have the right. Power to the people. Xoxox Azazel
