I am fortunate enough to have Dr Heather Davids for my pain specialist. She takes all the time I…read moreneed and listens, intently, when I explain my pain. She reviews labs, X-rays, and my MRI to see, exactly, what is involved and what is causing my pain. She is very knowledgable about different modalities of treatment and presents them with understanding and precision. I, recently, went to her office, but on the way, google maps took to the wrong place. I had parked my car and after walking 3 blocks, I realized I was in the wrong place. I was 10 minutes away from my appointment time. Walking is painful for me, (part of the reason I see Dr Davids) so it took me awhile to get back to my car. By that time I was 2 minutes late. I called the office to let them I was close and that I would be there soon. They told me they would see me soon. Through 2 or 3 more unfortunate actions on my part, I found my self looking for the wrong office number and was instructed by a worked to go to the next building. To make a very long story no longer, I called the office at 20 minutes past my scheduled appointment, crying, and Sandra answered the phone. She had me describe to her where I was, asked what I was wearing and said she would come get me. Soon Sandra was walking me to the office. She reassured me that everything was ok and that Dr Davids would see me soon. That was 30 minutes after my appointment time. They had accommodated my lateness by seeing patients that were already there so I could be seen when I finally arrived. She brought me water, and reassured me everything was ok. When Dr Davids came in she was so kind and gentle and she told me it had worked out and that she was glad to see me. We had a wonderful conversation and she was very through in her assessment of my needs. I felt cared for and it was such a positive experience-one I will never forget. Being an RN that has worked in the medical field, for 35 years, I know a good quality healthcare provider whan I experience one. Dr Davids and her staff are the best! Thank you, Dr Davids and Sandra and the staff for making this very stressful event so much better than it started out to be.

"Dr" Levin is supposedly a "pain management specialist". I wound up having to see this "doctor"…read morebecause my prior pain management doctor retired. I had a pair of ruptured discs and Mr. Levin told me that all I had was a "case of mild disc degeneration". He was further angered with me for my disinterest in attending group therapy sessions. I simply didn't feel that talking about my blown-out discs to other people would do anything to fix them. Mr. Levin even went so far as to suggest that I might be faking my injury to get a couple pain pills a day. In the end, I wound up with a mouth full of broken teeth that State Comp is going to have to pay for because of his incompetence. Mr. Levin told me that he was no longer interested in treating me (thank God!) and my attorney recommended an outstanding doctor. Mr. Levin even had so much spite for me that he booted me without refilling my pain meds - so fortunately I was able to have my HMO fill them as they didn't want to see me have a stroke as my blood pressure was incredibly high. Within 14 months of getting a new doctor, I was in for my surgeries to have both of my ruptured discs replaced, and I'm finally doing much better pain-wise. All I can say is to avoid this doctor at all costs, as all they will do is "milk your health benefits" for all they can while providing you as little relief as possible. Please note that I have referred to this "doctor" as "Mr. Levin" - because I fail to see how such an incompetent individual could ever get a license to practice medicine.

I moved from Southern California and have been flying back and forth each month to see my regular…read morepain management dr. I finally got settled in a new apartment (had been staying with my sister) so I made an appointment with a new pain dr in town. It did not work out with that dr because it turned out his prescribing license had expired and the day I showed up he was missing and his staff had no clue where he was (another review for another day)...so I was forced to book a flight last minute to my usual dr. Because I had gone to another dr my usual dr would only agree to give me 2 weeks worth of medicine (he said he shouldn't have given me any, but understood because I was trying to find a dr where I moved). They gave me copies of my records and a referral to Dr. Levin's office (who I had called before I left for the trip to see what was required to come in). So when I got back to town I brought my records and referral to Dr. Levin's office. ..they said their policy was for the dr to review the records and see if their was 'anything he could offer' and then if so he would schedule an appointment. I figured no problem because I gave a crap load of issues, I have had physical therapy, spinal injections, acupressure, acupunture, massage therapy, chiropractic adjustments, water therapy, and medication. ..and I included MRIs, CT scans...and a stack of records so thick it cost $7 for me to get a copy made at 10 cents a page. So I go in, I give them all of that and tell them could they please hurry with getting back to me because my other dr only gave me two weeks worth of medicine. ...and I was very explicit about this and how important it was. This was Monday. Friday rolls around and I FINALLY get a phone call from their office (Btw I did call them and leave messages earlier in the week...heard nothing). I answer and the lady says she is sorry but the dr feels he can't 'offer me anything' because he doesn't prescribe pain medication at his office. I am thinking 'Are you kidding me?' He is a pain doctor, but doesn't prescribe medication. That doesn't even make sense. So he can't offer me physical therapy or spinal injections either...anything? I mean it's not like I only need meds...I also need other help. The point is he could have offered something or recommended a dr to help. They knew that at that point I only had one week of meds left...thanks to their quick review of my records. I am frankly pissed because I explained my medication situation on the phone to the receptionist when I called the very first time before I ever made my trip to my old dr and asked him for a referral. She could have informed me Dr. Levin did not prescribe medication at that time and I would have kept looking for another reputable doctor. I wouldn't have been left with my thumb up my ass without a dr looking like some addict about ready to suffer from narcotic withdrawals, also in extreme pain. Not to mention I do have a life...I can't just stop everything and keep going from Dr to dr, or check into the hospital if things get really bad. I have a son to take care of and responsibilities.

Staff here is extremely rude. I came here several times for minor health issues or to get shots for…read moreschool or internships. I have never came here for a major health issue, so I am not too sure how the doctor's expertise and evaluation would be. Usually, I schedule an appointment a month in advance in order to get medication or a prescription for an ongoing health problem that I have. Although I have a scheduled appointment, it still takes about 30 minutes to an hour for them to call me inside to get my vitals done. The staff taking my vitals are usually not health professionals, but friends or family of the Doctor because they are older and do not happen to speak much English. I mean not a lot of English is required since everyone pretty much knows the process - put your arm out with palms facing up and then they slide the arm cuff onto the arm and press the button until the blood pressure is read. Next would be getting on the scale which automatically reads your weight and then they pull out this snazzy little height scale to measure my height. Afterwards, I get directed to the patient room and wait another 20-30 minutes before the doctor can see me. After the doctor comes in, he asks why I'm here and then I tell him I need a refill and he writes the prescription and I'm out of there in about 3 minutes. The waiting process takes about 1-1.5 hours even with an appointment while the doctor only sees me for a good 3 minute. I can't imagine how'd it would be like without an appointment. I can't wait to find a new doctor that cares about my health. I do no recommend this doctor office at all. :(

Staff are cold and treated all these patients like they need them more than The business needs them to stay afloat. The Young doctor who just inherited This business from his recently passed away Father doesn't look like a professional doctor at all .He just sits there flipping over pages of file his dead father had noted on this patient never once looking up to see how his patient was doing not putting on any stethoscope on the patient to at least check him out.He was having a cold on that day and his nose was running. He wore gloves on that day and he was trying to clear his running nose by using those gloves as tissue and dappled on his so called short blouse , but actor was his shirt All in all he looks like a kid wandering from somewhere and got into this examination room to do medical work which he didn't perform at all . At the end he spit out 2 referrals phone none of them bothered to give us a call back. I feel sorry for those patients who were examined in this office. It's sad when I have to give a review like this.
