I found Dr. Gibson from a referral. I've always been skeptical about chiropractors but after doing CrossFit for 6 years and frankly getting older, my body isn't tolerating the activities I love. I had a pain in my lower back that wouldn't go away no matter how I stretched, rolled out, iced or massaged. I broke down and booked an appointment. Dr. Gibson's initial exam took well over an hour, where he was very focused on the whole body and explained how everything is connected. He treats the root problem, not just the symptoms. The exam also included X-rays. We went over the results and found the curvature of my neck was terrible and my spine was off. It also appears I'm missing a set or ribs and a thoracic vertebrae... neither of which is causing problems, but interesting that he found that. New fun fact about me. My treatment would be to see him 2x/week for 8 weeks then 1x/week for another 8 weeks. I'm about 6 weeks in. Within the first week, I noticed a huge improvement in my back as well, when he adjusts my neck, everything feels great. I experienced a weird pain in my mid back closer to my side and he found a rib out of alignment. One adjusted, it felt better, but within hours, the discomfort was gone. He explained how there are nerves between the ribs and in certain areas, it takes a little time for things to settle. I'm convinced that the adjustments are helping. I even started brining in my 12 yo son. After his X-rays, we found his hips were out of alignment and he held several pounds of weight on one side of his body. He's active with sports and does CrossFit at school. Why not make sure he's aligned properly so he can sleep well, stay focused and feeling good! Last year around September, I hurt my lower back doing deadlifts. I was able to take time off work and so I decided to search for a chiropractor. Dr. Gibson's facility was covered under my insurance, and what stood out was they were able to take me in as a patient and my first examination on the same day, within the same hour! Upon further exam, we were able to do X-Ray and found a few issues with my spine beyond what was happening with my lower back. In short, I was able to go on a plan for my back in the coming weeks and 4 months later, 2 appts per week and another Xray showed that my spinal column has shifted midline and I couldn't been more happier with the results! What an amazing experience. Dr Gibson was very informative. I'm an HVAC technician and I injured myself 3 years ago and I thought I would have to deal with the chronic pain. I wrote a review for Gibson before and yelp took it down because they suggested I didn't go here, so I will keep it short and simple. I WENT here in pain from a car accident and left each visit in significantly more pain. No, it was not a little more painful but got better later. It was excruciating the whole time. Dr. Gibson does not warm up the tissue at all before an adjustment and his staff suggested to me that their very old and somewhat broken massage table was a decent replacement for massage therapy. Dr. Gibson makes claims about chiropractic that reach beyond the scope of practice. Chiropractic is a musculoskeletal practice, not a panacea. Beware. read more
