If you need a new cowboy hat, boots, belts, jewelry and clothes for the rodeo this is a good option. Just be prepared for high prices. I needed a cowboy hat and I've been here in the past for cowgirl stuff, so I figured I'd mosy on over. They have about two dozen types of cowboy hats, but I needed one with a stampede string. You don't want to be on a horse that's galloping and lose your hat. I did find a hat for about $65.00 which was the least expensive one they had with a stampede string. The long sleeved blouses were very tempting, but maybe I'll splurge on one of those next year. The only reason I am deducting two stars if for the following reasons: 1) The prices are too high for a majority of the things they sell. Cute boots, but the prices were nuts. I'll just use Zappos.com. If you have money to burn I guess it isn't an issue. 2) The service wasn't the best. One older woman acted like she owned the place and didn't even ask me if I needed help. The other younger woman asked me what I was looking for, but didn't bother to help me find it. If they decide to work on customer service and more realistic prices I'll give them two more stars. Y'all have one more year until my next visit. Hopefully, things will improve. read more

In my opinion, this is the best shop for western wear in the area. Lots of choices for fellas and gals. I was looking something particular and special. I went to more than 5 but less than 10 stores. I found it here. The 'It" is a high quality denim shirt with snaps (not buttons). The brand is Ryan Michaels and until now I had only seen them online. The shop also carries Stetson and a few other lines. They have an assortment of hats and leather goods as well as small art and souvenir items. read more

My husband gets me a gift certificate to this store, along with something that he's picked out for me, almost evert year for my Birthday and for Christmas. I love their inventory, but I hate shopping there. The older woman with the foreign accent ( not sure if she is the owner, or an employee) is always so rude and unwelcoming that I don't enjoy the experience. It's quite a drive for me, but I wouldn't mind and would do it more often if it wasn't for her attitude. The last time I was there, she followed me around the store as if she thought I was going to steal something. I tried on a pair of boots, but when they didnt fit and I asked for another size, she told me they didnt have it, without even checking. When I asked if they would get more inventory in, she said that she didn't know. They have nice things, although are quite a bit on the expensive side. I don't know that I'll be making that drive again anytime soon! read more

I recently visited the Santa Inez valley, and found myself in this charming boutique. It was an experience all in itself, as it has so much to see! Several turns in the store only began to reveal what was hiding in each vignette. I often come here when visiting the Santa Ynez Valley. I absolutely love the Olive Hill blouses and the wrap bracelets. I only know one woman working at the store and she is great at helping me find the perfect outfit. She also keeps the store very neat and tidy which is incredible since it can be overwhelming with all of the product available. This store has a great variety of clothing for men, women, and children. Plus jewelry, western style houseware, and decor. Sometimes I just enjoy browsing the store. Rudest salesperson ever! This is a cute shop but I will never go back again. I shop there probably twice a year as I live about 45 minutes away, but I am on their mailing list and look forward to stopping by when I can. I walked in there today at about 4:00 on a Saturday afternoon and was met at the door by a woman who just glared at me. I said, "hello", but she said nothing in response. I proceeded to browse around for whatever treasure caught my eye. After about 5 minutes, she asked in a hostile tone if I was looking for anything in particular. I said "Not really, but I will know it when I see it". In an effort to get her to lighten up I complimented her on her boots, but she just sort of huffed in response. I then asked what time they closed and she said around 5:30. I said, "Good, I don't want to hold you up". I was trying anything I could to get her to be more friendly. After another 5 minutes, she yelled from the cash register area, "Are you going to buy something or are you just looking?". I was floored. I said I will buy something when I find what I want. I then said, "Why, are you closing?" even though we had just talked about her closing time. She said, "Yes, I am going to close at 4:30 but I have to bring everything in first so I need to start now. I had noticed that because of the wind (I thought), all of the clothing racks that are sometimes outside were already in the store. I seriously wondered if this person was playing with a full deck because nothing was making sense. I realized there was no point in trying to deal with her any longer so I left. By the time I got to my car which was a little ways away, I noticed it was 4:15, so I had only been in the store about 10 minutes at the most. It seems they kick you out if you don't purchase within that time. read more
