FLORA - organic rose water toner
    Trish B.

Visited on: 11/18/19 Came in to browse after leaving Fitzpatrick's pub. My experience: Tracy (the Owner) is full of energy and has a great spirit. She was organizing and takes quite pride in her shop; as she was seen putting up Christmas decor ahead of time. Such a lovely, friendly and personable lady. I felt right at home. I purchased a facial toner (see photo attached) Stop in if you're in the area and browse around this cute shop!

This little shop is just darling! It has tons of knick-knacks including jewelry, stationary, and even clothing. Everything is beautifully displayed and organized. It's different from the other Solvang shops because it's marketed toward the general public vs most shops in Solvang that are geared towards tourists. This meaning, you won't find windmill figurines in sight here, which can be refreshing. A 40% off sign is what drew me in! And to my surprise, I found an adorable shirt dress (looks amazing with high socks and boots!) for $12 after the discount. A souvenir from Solvang that is being put to great use might I add! With this amazing find, my fiancé and I spoke with the owner who like this store, was a gem! She was very sweet and provided us with such a great experience and vibe. I am excited to visit the shop during my next visit!

I think this shop moved to Copenhagen Dr. I visiting Solvang 7-27-19 and found this shop. The shop has a lot cute stuff for girls/teens/adults. It has a cute Melrose Ave boutique feel in the middle of all the local novelty's. I copped a pair of rainbow slides that were priced well. Actually everything in the shop was very affordable. I assume the owner was working the register and she was very nice and greeted everyone who entered!

Tracy has a great eye for what to purchase for her store, high end and in season.

While in Solvang, we found this really cool vintage thrift shop and walked around a bit. The inside had so many items to look at, but still felt very organized and didn't leave me feeling overwhelmed. They had everything - old records, comics, purses, fur coats, glassware -- even backstage passes from different concerts which I thought was pretty cool. I am always on the hunt for Uranium glass and A Piece of the Past had a few items. One being an ashtray and another being a set of glasses that I am still kicking myself for not just buying. Service was very friendly throughout the store and I also thought that most of the items were fairly priced - it didn't feel like they were trying to gouge anyone. Check them out!

Happiness set in as soon as I walked through the door. Clean, organized, bright and more importantly -- no old, dirty smell! The first item that caught my eye was a handmade mug. It reminded me of when my grandson was learning the alphabet as he would excitedly shout "N is for Narwhal!" Needless to say, I couldn't put it back down. We browsed every corner and found so many lovely items, including a beautiful vintage vanity (on my wish list). Prices were surprisingly reasonable, which made it really difficult not to buy more. As we were ready to check out with my mug, the husband pointed out a tiny silver scoop in a locked case. He could tell on my face that I wanted to add it to my collection, so he called someone to open the case -- he's such an enabler. :) The staff are easy to find, incredibly friendly and helpful. Such a great place -- we'll be back!

Do be advised that they only take cash, so come prepared. While in the area for a few days, I visited, not looking for anything in particular. The sign outside said 50% off everything, There is a decent selection of clothing and housewares. I will say that on many houseware items, the prices were exceptionally high, even for 50% off. Mason jars priced at $4? Goodwill charges $.99. Serving platters, baking pans, basic houseware items were definitely priced too high, and I left without anything in that area. While housewares may be overpriced, the clothing is definitely very inexpensive. There is a small selection of "name brand" and new clothing items. The slacks and shirts were $1. I purchased two bead sorting boxes, and at 50% off they were $3 each. This isn't exactly a deal, because at Michael's, with my weekly coupon, they are that price. But I chose to buy them anyway. The shop is staffed by elderly women, who I assume to be local volunteers. If you are in the area and enjoy the thrift store hunt, I would recommend stopping by just to see if you find any treasures.

My husband had given me a spare check to keep for emergencies and unbeknownst to both of us, he had accidentally pulled a check from an old account that looked identical to the current account we use at Chase. It was rejected, and we immediately received an urgent message from this store to take care of it immediately. I responded immediately, apologized, and let them know I could come in the next day they were open and that we'd be in area. They said fine. On that day, my husband had the cash and was going to drop it off on his way to work at 4. At 2:30 I received an incredible rude text and voicemail accusing us of not honoring the agreement and demanding we come in immediately. I wrote back, apologized again, explained that he was dropping it on his way to work. They said put it under the door. I confirmed and commented that it was still the 7th, and that we had honored the agreement and suggested that perhaps given the amount of money we spend there they could have shown some grace. ( the texts and voice mails were accusatory condescending and rude) . No response. Silence. I wrote back and asked to be given the name of the person who the manager reports to. Again no response. Not even the courtesy to answer my question. Bottom line, if this is how they treat a good customer who made an honest mistake, I'm not interested in giving them my business.
