What a great massage! Found this hidden gem when on the hunt for hand warmers with my boyfriends mother. We stumbled upon the back body & mind health spa and spoke to the woman at the desk and asked about pricing on a Swedish massage when we heard the prices for the massages we were all in and scheduled massages for later that day. Both Lynne and I frequently go to spas in the area such as the Killington Grand Hotel and Spa so we know what we are looking for in a Swedish massage: combination of long and short strokes with light to firm pressure to promote the release of stress and tension and increase circulation for tired muscles. The prices are really a great value as well: 25 minutes: $45 55 minutes: $75 85 minutes: $120 We decided to go for the 55 min massage which we felt would be best for our time schedule. We waited a few minutes for our rooms to be ready and sat on the couches in the lounge. We filled out our forms which we got to tell the masseuse what issues we were having or pain/discomfort if any along with what kind of music we preferred during our massages. The room itself was very inviting with dimmed lighting to set the relaxation process in motion, there was soft spa music playing in the back which was really great. My masseuse aloud me to get changed then came in and started the massage. I really liked that she asked me if the pressure is o.k. for me, a lot of times you don't get asked and I personally feel to shy to speak up and ask for harder or softer pressures. My masseuse was excellent, unfortunately I did not catch her name but she was a young woman. I would definitely come back for another massage for a great price. CONS: Not many at all but I will say the walls are very thin and if someone in the next room is talking you can hear the entire conversation. Not to mention the people walking above us on the next floor with ski gear a little irritating but I myself am a pro at selective hearing. Go me! The spa has some other great amenities that they offer from a work out room to a large indoor pool with 2 hot tubs. While one of our friends was getting a massage I went to the pool with his 5 year old son and he had a ball down there. I'd like to come prepared next time and take a dip myself. read more

I have been to Back Body & Mind Health Spa twice this year for Deep Tissue massages to allieviate the tension in my upper back and shoulders. Brandon worked with me both times and was exceptionally professional, skilled and helpful. He asked detailed questions in order to understand my issue and gave me tons of helpful feedback, advice and recommendations for improving my condition. On my second visit, I booked an 85 minute deep tissue. As Brandon remembered me from my first visit, he had a number of therapeutic tools and techniques (e.g. heat pads, fascia stimulation, hot stones, etc.) that he wanted to try for my treatment. Even after my session, Brandon was incredibly helpful in working with me to determine which trigger points we could focus on for my next appointment. Overall, this was the best therapeutic massage experience I've ever had and I would highly recommend Brandon and anyone on his staff for their professionalism, knowledge and client care. If I could give zero stars, that is really the only way this review would be just. My husband and I never actually got any services from this business, but not by choice. I'll explain. My husband and I were headed to Killington, VT for our 1st wedding anniversary, so we decided to book a couple's massage. We are from NY, so we had to look up places near our hotel based on reviews - we chose this one, from Yelp. It had great reviews, was close to our hotel, etc. I called on September 14, 2017 and spoke with Brandon - made an appointment for September 23, 2017 @ 5 PM. As you can see - we made it 9 DAYS in advance. I also SPOKE to someone, this was NOT an on-line submission. I gave a credit card number to HOLD THE APPOINTMENT. I received an E-MAIL CONFIRMATION from them. I received an E-MAIL REMINDER on September 22nd. Well, when we arrived for out appointment, inside of a hotel, it was closed down. No big deal, maybe he was only coming in for our appointment. NOPE. A maintenance man from the hotel informed us that he was never open this time of year. He was pretty sure the guy lived out of state. I called the number MULTIPLE times. No answer. I e-mailed him back. No answer. This definitely put a damper on our (supposed to be romantic) anniversary trip. It was 5:00 on Saturday night - there were no appointments open ANYWHERE. Also, we had to be home (about 2 hours away) by 1 pm on Sunday for our kids, so this was it, no couple's massages. I was LIVID. I finally got a call back from Brandon when we were on our way out of town on Sunday. He acted like I had made a mistake. Like he hadn't made the appointment for that date and time at all. He offered something silly like "10% off the next time we're in town." NO, THANKS. You basically ruined our 1st wedding anniversary trip, and put unnecessary stress on us while we were supposed to be enjoying a weekend getaway. And I had booked early! I had planned our weekend out to the last detail. I get things don't go as planned all of the time, but this was something that could have been avoided. I wouldn't trust this guy with another appointment in my life. Good luck if you do. read more

AMAZING. I've been getting massages for years and I can say with confidence that I've NEVER had a better massage than I did with Brandon from Back Body & Mind Health Spa. He is the real deal -- incredibly professional and very knowledgable about what he's doing. The only negative is that I don't live nearby so I can't frequent this spa as often as I'd like to, but I will -- without a doubt -- be returning once I do visit VT again. Excellent services in a calming and peaceful environment. My boyfriend took me here for couples massages on valentines day, the workers were pleasant and very friendly, the owner catered to us and helped make this trip a special one. To start the day of we went for a workout at their gym and played in the basketball court. After working up a sweat we got our hour long massages and took a dip in their pool, followed by the hot tub and eucalyptus sauna. There was so much they had to offer us and all at a tiny price compared to other local spas. Definitely plan to make a return trip soon! read more

I had a wonderful experience, I came in with a shoulder injury and was offered professional treatment focusing on my shoulder, got hot stone and biofreeze on it, I was even offered two packs of biofreeze gel when leaving, so that I could use them later. I definitely recommend this place. read more

Had a great experience. I've got a spine trauma many years ago and, previously, had plenty of medical massages done on me, so I am sort of picky about how massages are done. I don't get them just for the relaxation purposes, but rather to get some healing from it. So I can say Brandon definitely knows what he's doing.
