1 year ago i was on tour pushing through the most intense back and leg/sciatic pain that i have ever endured! 10 months ago i decided it was time to stop chasing my dream and start looking at a very hard truth that i needed to see for me to understand the concept that my mental health and physical health was deteriorating rapidly at the point and i would not last another tour. My family and my girlfriend were taking care of everything for me because i had very little mobility or strength to do practically anything for myself anymore. This also was culminating with constantly being up all night due to the pain and accomplishing roughly 1 to 2 hours of sleep a night. It went on like this for years. It was so hard for me that after 22 years of playing drums, my band at the time reaching great success, had to move on without me and i also knew that i didn't want to leave them because i believed in the music, the vision and them as people so much that it took me about 2 months to realize the exit strategy so both parties could move on respectfully! To close out this incredible life/musical chapter, I endured a 12 hour music video shoot that left me in the worst of the worst pain i have ever felt and total immobility beyond the bathroom in which usually took me 5 sometimes 10 minutes to get to and from, as well as two shows at the beginning of March thus really driving home the point that i needed to really take the proper time to enjoy every bit of the rest of my life. This brings me to Dr. Ron Nusbaum of Back Clinics of Canada.............. Oh my goodness after too many years of doctors trying to convince me that my pain was not as bad as what i was making it out to be, everyone goes through it, get more sleep, take more pills, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah!!!! I finally found some amazing companions in Dr. Nusbaum and his absolutely immaculate staff who did absolutely everything they could to make sure i was placed in the right direction for a proper MRI when my actual family doctors from years past to present were telling me that xray was the way to go (not actually checking anything internally by the way) and expecting me to just live with it when my gut always said that an MRI would show the truth if one of these weirdos would simply sign off for me for one and help me! Going rogue and a lot of money out of pocket proved that i was right. And they knew it too because everyone at Back Clinics listened and went out of their way help. Everyone is so personable, loyal, open, honest and most of all care about nothing but making sure that the individual is treated as the individual that they are. Because of all of their efforts and a lot of relentless work put in on my own time, my final exam came back that i am infact 95% fully recovered. Today i live pain free minus the stiffness i feel in the morning from being in the same position all night and then i do my stretches and it all goes back to normal as it should. I am back to working out full time and i am staying as head strong as i can to start my new life and begin the process of building my own session drumming business. For now, i am now taking this week to celebrate life pain free and i have my mom, my dad, my lovely lady, and Back Clinics of Canada to humbly thank endlessly for helping put this humpty dumpty back together again. I read all below reviews and I personally posted two very positive reviews on google. I visited Dr. Ron out of desperation October last year when my lower back snapped trying to catch my running cat which triggered my chronic back pain. The pain was excruciating and I was literally struggling my life. My go-to chiropractor was out of town. I tried to find anyone (not one charging a lower fee) which maybe help. In my 25 plus experiences seeking chiropractic help, a good chiropractor always charges higher fee. However, traditional chiropractic treatments can only maintain you for a certain period of time before the pain comes back. I called it a cycle. I called Dr. Ron's office that I found from google and walked in next morning. I signed the package. The next day when I had my first decompression session, my body had a very strong reaction. Later, I believe that it was because my spine has been crooked for 25 years and does not know how to react to the process of restoring it to the correct and natural position. Nevertheless, I decided to hang on the plan because I wanted to break come-and-go cycle that I experienced in past 25 years. After one week's treatments, I was able to walk. After week two, I was able to go to golf range hacking golf balls. After the treatment stage was done, I signed a year maintenance package. I visited Dr. Ron every month to have decompression and laser session plus physical adjustments. So far, I never experienced any major setback. At a quite few moments, when my years of experiences told me that my lower back would collaspe again during intense yard work and golfing, but it didn't and it holds on. Back Clinics of Canada and Dr. Ron Nusbaum have greatly improved my quality of life over the last 6 weeks of treatment. I am a 34 year old female who has been suffering with a bulging disc in my lower back for the last 16 months. The pain has been constant and varied from moderate to completely debilitating, and has included nerve pain down the legs from sciatica. Previous treatments from physiotherapy, acupuncture and massage therapy had provided slight relief, but after a recent relapse, I knew I had to try something different. Six weeks ago, I painfully limped into Back Clinics of Canada and thankfully was accepted as a patient. Treatment has consisted of spinal decompression, laser therapy, nutritional supplements, specialized stretches and adjustments. I came into Back Clinics of Canada using a walker and unable to stand for more than a few seconds at a time without holding on. This was in the middle of February. My eldest granddaughter was getting married in about a weeks time. I desperately wanted to be able to walk down the aisle and dance a little without a walker. Dr Ron Nusbaum, a true professional and his excellent staff helped me to realize that. After only I think 4 out of 20 sessions and some painkillers and a special back brace, I wasn't perfect but was able to enjoy myself. Thankyou Dr Ron and your full team. The office is run professionally, with excellent procedures in place. Before I left my house one day for a 10:00 appointment I received a call to come in 15 minutes later because they were running late. Who does that?Most times I was taken in early. After each procedure (2) there is a fresh ice bag waiting on a chair to hold on your back. I think all material is wiped down between clients. The exercise booklet of 18 exercises is started after a few weeks with tines spent & repetitions and intensity increased over time. Today I completed my last treatment and exit protocol and was measured for orthopaedics. Dr Ron even added one additional stretching exercise because of some stiffness he sensed (not pain). l am to wean myself off the backbrace, (already accomplished) but continue the exercise program for life and remain cautious when ever reintroducing anything new. l have stopped almost all pain medication and what I still take is a very low dose. read more

I have had lower back and hip pain off and on for over 30 years. In the past 6 months my back/hip and leg pain became debilitating to the point where I could not sit in any type of chair. Dr. Ron and his team are unbelievably incredible people who know just how to brighten your day!! I've been through a numerous amount of different treatments over the course of the last two years for herniated L4-L5-S1 discs as well as degeneration. I was to the point that I could not work anymore due to the pain. I was at an impass because every doctor I saw had no way of helping me other than meds, which honestly did absolutely nothing for the pain. My father has cervical spinal stenosis recently diagnosed March 2017. In May if this year I was diagnosed with a bulging disc in my lower back. Not only did I experience lower back pain it was also accompanied by leg pain and numbness. Since last December, when all of a sudden I couldn't walk for even 5 minutes without literally crying from pain and discomfort, I am now back to training regularly and doing 45 minute 5K nordic walks a few times a week with tons of energy to spare. Dr. Nusbaum was very clear that the inital treatment program would only do a part of the job to help me recover, and the rest was up to me - doing the recommended stretches, strengthening complex and continuing the regular follow-up adjustments.
