I've been to both the Boston and Wellesley locations (depending on if I want to take the T, or if it's not rush hour it's easy to get to Wellesley), and I have to say that the Wellesley location is esthetically much nicer than the Boston location, which isn't surprising since it's bound to be more spacious and open. This is a beautiful studio with a separate sitting area, mirrors, large windows, and hard wood floors. I've had a number of instructors and they have all been great. It's nice that they can add their own spin on the workout, and while they work your whole body, some definitely have an emphasis on legs or abs. The 45 minutes go by FAST since you're constantly switching up the movement. It's hard and you're pretty much destined to be sore the next day, but definitely not in a bad way. The workouts are all able to be modified so these classes are good for just about anyone. If you have never been on a megareformer I definitely recommend checking it out! They look daunting at first but the instructors talk you through each position and whatnot, so it's not like you're looking around wondering what's going on.

It's a franchise and each location has its quirks. If you have never done reformer pilates - TAKE YOUR TIME. It can be intimidating. Once I got myself into the studio, it was an interesting experience from there. Expect everyone to be delicately lean and know what they are doing (to a fault) when it comes to pilates. Other skills... well, we all are different. As a latino, I felt odd. As a 12 year zumba instructor, a lot of the mechanics were second nature to me, albeit the instructor for the day tried a "little too hard. Kudos for keeping safety at the forefront. It's not cheap, so if you are looking for price, this isn't the place for you. Given the drive and off of Route 9 (MY NEMESIS), I have some considerations. But I'd like to at least try the 4 pack one on one training sessions to get into the groove and see if this is something I can commit to longer term. As with any other program - work your way into it, unless you are one of the young superfreaks of nature (me, 35 years ago!). Pilates can be a gentle and effective way to strengthen, tone and lengthen, improving posture, balance and overall functional fitness activities (aka life in general). I have mixed feelings but I wasn't totally put off (chime in here F45 Wakeforest, NC area...). It's a logistics thing. If you are mainstream, middle income - you'll find yourself a great place to take your fitness to a new challenged.

Big variety morning & evening classes: Spin, Core Barre Cardio, Kettlebell Swing, Yoga, Zumba, Pilates, Stronger, Core Bosu, TRX, Metabolic Conditioning, Barefoot Cardio, etc.... You can work with a private instructor (separate charge). It's the only place I've exercised regularly. They offer different options for classes from punch card etc... The best part of the monthly pass is you can take classes remotely via Zoom. So, when I'm on vacation I can log into the class or take it when I feel like it if I'm in a different time zone. If you paid for gym memberships and never or seldom used it like I used to, then check out the Core Connection. They offer great introductory pricing for new members.

They are only offering intro and level 1.0/1.5 which at the time of sign up o was not informed of. the classes were so basic and i found myself unable to get motivated to attend. After speaking with the studio manager i was informed they would not be offering any higher level classes until at least June! yet they expected me to pay full membership. I decided I needed to cancel my membership due to the lack of higher level classes and honestly even the 1.5 felt like an intro class. The actually charged me a $100 cancellation fee as I was supposed to to commit to 3 months but how can i commit when you are not offering a full array of classes. Extremely poor business practice

After a year and a half and two major surgeries Jumpstart became my second home (in the best way possible). Everyone is so extremely nice and really treats you as part of their family. They truly care about there patients and want you to get back to your sport and yourself quickly cheering you on every step of the way! Never once was I handed off to an aide I always got direct 1 on 1 treatment. Now I am back to skiing after 5+ years of not being able to and my pain is completely gone, none of which would be possible without jumpstart! I am forever grateful to have found this amazing place!
