She is so attentive to each person's individual needs and tailors each client's workout according to their musculoskeletal limitations (history of injuries etc). I personally purchase the 10 day class package and attend 3x/week. The group classes are honestly like semi-private classes since its only 2-4 clients at a time. Not only is the heated room smaller, it smells ripe all the time, the staff are forgetful and sometimes moody, some of the patrons are rude, the continuous waitlists are annoying, and the "feeling of community" is all a farce. I enjoyed the Sculpt classes taught by Sami on Thursday mornings but due to my schedule, I had to resort to the noontime class taught by an instructor who is consistently forgetful. It has become a running joke among her students whether she's going to remember the right side plank or hydrant after completing the left side or vice versa. The biggest issue I take with this studio is this idea of community and their so-called studio rules. They are unwritten (but apparently are stated rules). If you ask an instructor about these unwritten rules, beware... you could be considered aggressive for asking...and have your membership canceled without even a conversation. What are these unwritten rules you might ask? Surprisingly, these unwritten but stated rules that everyone should know or be able to hear in a crowded room with blasting music and loud conversation is about the positioning of students in the studio when it gets crowded. Of course, this might seem obvious that one would stagger with their neighbor if they felt like there was any danger to oneself or the neighbor. But no...these unwritten rules state that the staggering is led by the person on the complete opposite side of the room. For example, if you have placed your mat in the farthest right corner of the room by the mirror, it is your job to follow the lead of a person on the complete opposite side of the room, someone you cannot see, especially given how crowded the studio is which is why there is staggering in the first place. This happened to me. Another class member came up to my mat at the end of class and confronted me because I did not follow the "rules" to give her daughter enough space. She yelled at me in the class and was very aggressive to me, telling me that she was going to have the instructor explain to me these "rules". After I cooled off on my mat, I found the instructor and asked her about these "rules". She informed me that these "rules" were unwritten but stated at the beginning of each class. I cannot remember ever hearing that these "rules"even existed, maybe because she might have forgotten to say them that day, maybe because I couldn't hear her over the music and the conversations that were happening, or maybe something else. But my asking clarification on these rules became an issue and rather than understanding the facts about the situation, the owner (who was not even present) left a voicemail that my membership was cancelled. I sent an email explaining my side and to express my disappointment about her lack of a thorough review of what happened from all parties , and asked her to provide a written explanation of the cancellation without a review. I also asked that "rules" should be written and not just stated. Not only was I the one who was treated aggressively by another member, but the owner's complete dismissal of their own community member without a thorough review negates the whole "community" that she sold us on, and to do it all over voicemail. She has yet to respond to my email, but left another voicemail. Who does that?

I'm not "fit" or flexible and I didn't know anything about yoga. I just knew that I wanted to see if it would help me. I started asking questions through email. Sara-Grace answered them all in an encouraging, informative way. She instantly made me feel welcomed. There is a 2 week, VERY affordable, package that lets you take unlimited classes. I took just about every beginner class they offered....multiple times. It was a great way to learn that not all yoga is the same. ( I didn't know that.) Every teacher I met was SO welcoming. They reminded the class that they should stay in their own personal comfort zone. They always made me feel like it was ok to focus on my personal growth while still teaching the more seasoned participants at the level they require. I've really settled in to Restorative Yoga. It's a safe space to work on physical and emotional awareness and nurturing. Meng Le offers a comfortable space and guides the class on a journey of physical and emotional comfort. In a perfect world, she would teach every day and I would attend every class. The studio space is clean. They offer props and mats so you can dive right in without buying anything. It's wonderful to have a place of peace to be a part of.

Took my niece and nephew here. If you have athletic or active older kids, this is a good option…read more - This is a big indoor space with lots of varied things to climb or grab or swing on. You get a quick overview then are set free to do whatever. The kids had a good time. They very much liked the curved walls you run up and try to grab the top of. They kept practicing and eventually could do the 3rd tallest one. It was pretty cool. - What I didn't like was the smart-ass other kids who go there often and were vocal in showing what they could do. If one of my kids couldn't quite get something, some other random kid would jump on it and show how easy it was. Here's why that bothered me; as a kid I tried out for track. It wasn't easy. I tried out a lot. Finally made it to varsity. Ran the 1/2 mile. First time I got to do this, this other superstar brat kid who normally never runs the 1/2 mile decided to run it too. He beat me, I came in second, meaning I would have been first had he not butted in for no good reason. You can see this doesn't bother me at all still to this day... - SO - aside from the other know-it-all kids here, my niece and nephew had fun.

That's the good news. The reason for the 2 star review was that when she was on the Salmon ladder with an instructor present, she was hit in the head by the bar. No one at the gym said anything to me about this. I'm sorry, but when my child gets hit in the head by something I want to know, even if it is not serious. I might not have bothered to write a review and say anything about this if we hadn't gone back later that day for an open gym event they had (with a band playing). Again, my daughter did enjoy the experience (and she didn't tell me about hitting her head until late in the day). What I saw at the open gym gave me pause about the commitment to safety of Action Athletics. The gym was packed, kids were running everywhere. There were far to few instructors, and they were not controlling access to the obstacles very well at all. One woman was letting her 8 month old crawl around on the floor in front of the warped walls, kids were darting back and forth in front of other kids running up the warped walls. Kids were not being spotted on obstacles. It is not enough to have mats on the floor. If someone falls off an obstacle and lands wrong, they can be severely injured, even if the floor is padded. I believe they need to get their act together as regards safety before I can recommend them more highly, regardless of the "fun factor".

This class was by far the best barre class I've ever taken! The instructor, Juliana, was so welcoming, motivating and knowledgeable on proper form and technique. The class was a perfect mix of barre work, mat work, and weighted exercises - the hour class flew by. I feel like this would be a perfect place for barre beginners since it's much less intimidating than the typical vibe at pure barre, but is also an incredible, advanced work out for people who have taken barre previously. I'm so sad I don't live closer to the barre effect. I'll definitely be coming back to this studio any time I'm in the area!
