I want to say that the theater holds maybe 75-100 people...? Comfy seats and every seat is a great view. Prices are great, our last show was $39 each. The actors are fun and you can tell they absolutely love doing what they do. They are there to make everyone happy including themselves and their fellow castmates. There is a bar with drinks and snacks, we've even seen shirts for sale! We are considering purchasing a "B Season Pass" so we don't miss out on the shows this coming year, some sell out fast! I hate to even give a great review because I don't want people to buy up all the seats from under us, but yet I want to also give this theater a huge and happy round of applause for being FANTASTIC!! We will see you again soon! Cheers!

It was the best surprise- I had no idea until we arrived. The Maverick puts on this play every year and it is outstanding. Their seasons always bring unique, quirky shows. From King Kong to Rocky Horror to Santa Claus Conquers the Martians. There is always something cool happening. Brian, the owner, is dedicated to theater and is a friendly, welcoming guy. The staff and actors are wonderful as well. Probably our favorite local theater.

Theatre in the Heart of Orange County…read more Culturize and Familiarize yourself with the OC. The OC is the best place to live and small community based artsy venues with great talent bring entertainment to your footstep. A small forum with great talent really places every seat in the house as a good one. Chapman's Waltmar Theatre is vibrant and blossoming with talent. The theatre is a great option for localites to see shows, musicals and more. Yes, it is open to the public for shows. I have had nothing but positive experiences here. A few years back I even had the pleasure of seeing, in person, Supreme Justice Scalia. Overall, this is a great piece of Orange for locals to experience up and coming talent. It is a value and you can get to see great shows for reasonable prices. You can check their website for current shows, times, and prices. I am a fan! Waltmar Theatre, Orange..another reason the OC is the best place to liive!

This is my second time visiting the Waltmar Theater…read more I do love visiting college shows. In my own biased and ignorant world, I think college theatre offers more "art" than the professional world. Don't get me wrong - I love the big shows in the big theaters, too -- but it's like watching an indie film -- it's just very very good in a very very different way. The Chapman University Theatre Arts does not disappoint. The last show I saw was "The Taming of the Shrew". It was very well done with superb acting and we very much enjoyed the show. I also saw "Urinetown" on Thursday and I was equally, if not more, impressed. The quality of work that happens in this theater is absolutely spectacular. Every season bring something interesting and unique - and I wait in anticipation every year to see what Chapman has in store for myself and for my students. Parking under the football field is probably your best bet. A three-hour temporary parking permit is $3.00 and can be obtained from one of those parking permit machines using cash or credit card. Then, it's a quick 3-minute walk to the Waltmar theater. I strongly urge your attendance at this theater. There's some unbelievable quality-work that's going on here.

If you're scared of trying ballet for the first time as an adult, don't be. The teachers are super nice and supportive, you never get called out or put on the spot. You do get corrected but never in a way that is embarrassing. The beginner adult/teen class tends to lean more adults. Beginner 1 is so friendly, the teachers and peers. A judgment free dance class. Staff is also very pleasant. Honestly one of my best life decisions.

I honestly can't even run a mile and I'm really not in particularly good shape, so we were a little nervous to try at first. You will NOT find a better beginner program elsewhere!! We came to AB with zero knowledge of ballet or any dance background at all, but we've slowly slowly improved in the last year and started taking Beginner 2 classes (yay!). The class dynamic is really welcoming and the students encourage each other. I've made many friends through their program! The instructors provide many helpful corrections and they're are all very kind (even when we're falling all over ourselves in class). Special mention to all the amazing faculty members we've been lucky to study under -- Anabelle, Sara, Chris, Elan, and Crystal!! Extra special mention to Leticia, the friendliest and warmest front of house!

CSUF boasts a legacy Musical Theatre BFA program (the first program of its kind West of the Mississippi), a rigorous acting program, and a new Devised Theatre program in addition to bi-annual Dance concerts - for a total of 8 full productions each season - plus a stellar School of Music that includes everything from opera to ensemble jazz to full symphony orchestras. I particularly recommend the annual holiday concert in the Meng Concert Hall - it's stunning! PS - The only negative reviews on here are about some lady who sold snacks at intermission like 10 years ago (lol)... if you're avoiding the best low-cost performing arts in Orange County/Southern California because of a mundane annoyance about bringing food into a theatre, you're cutting off your mouth to spite your face. This particular theater I was in was a large traditional style seating with a great range of sound even from the back rows. I have yet to try the newer theaters, but it is just in due time. $10 bucks is all it costs to see great plays, musicals, and other performances. It is hardly a bank buster especially for starting out a date! I do recommend it if you want to impress, or just enjoy watching good theatre as I do. If it is your first time, make sure you are there early because it might be somewhat confusing to find where you are supposed to be, luckily there is friendly staff around and at box offices to help orient you.
