Wow wow wow! I just love this community theater! The quality of the performances and the set, music, wardrobe, etc. are all top notch. The pride, love, respect and talent is evident. Run don't walk to their latest performance, The Little Mermaid. It's an intimate sized theater so even if you're in the back row, it's like you're in the front row. You can't go wrong with any seat. Ursula, Sebastian, Prince Eric, Flounder and Ariel were my favorite performers. However, to be honest, each performer young and older did a fantastic job! Their latest production "Journey to Christmas" is a wonderful way to get in to the holiday spirit! The show has classic holiday songs with a modern twist. I've been to all of Musical Theatre Orange County shows but this last production of Beauty and the Beast. I'm so sorry I missed it! This organization does everything top notch! It's the next best show to watch outside of Broadway. The people who represent this organization have nothing but love for theatre and that's why these shows are the best. They put their heart and soul into all the unbelievable work that goes into theatre. They are great people and the cast of the shows are also just as great. They truly become a family. This is not just for children although my kids did love it. You will laugh, possibly cry, and definitely cheer! I had the distinct pleasure of enjoying MTOC's Mary Poppins today...all I can say is WOW what an amazing show! I can't say I was surprised because I have attended many stellar shows over the years put on by MTOC, a truly exquisite gem in Orange County. Not only is the talent top notch (I seriously felt like I was watching THE Mary Poppins...'cuz I was)! Bert was great too and they were so cute together! I loved all of the songs and dance numbers but Step in Time was unforgettable and so were all the special effects throughout the show. It was really so well done in every way, I even got a lil misty during the show but left feeling so happy! So do yourself a favor and go see this show next weekend...if you can still get tickets! I predict sellout shows based on the standing ovation received by the all star cast today! Anything can happen if you let it! read more

I LOVE MTOC!! I have been attending this community theater for years; Wizard of Oz, Hair Spray, Tarzan, Joseph and the amazing technicolor dreamcoat, ( just to name a few ). I would never miss! The owners Mitch and Lori are the most loving and caring people, who mentor these children actors like they are their own! These performances are as enjoyable as when I go to Broadway shows (without the huge price tag for admission.) These kids are dedicated to be the best with choreography, voice and acting. The venue is perfect for great seats, space for concessions and the stage allows MTOC to use their skills for lighting , sets and special effects. I strongly recommend these shows for the whole family and look forward to the shows every July! read more

(Joking) the Tarzan story was different than the movie and I was hoping for more mmm action/skits. But as far as musicals go I'd say it's 3rd best I've ever seen.... My wife and I just got home from attending tonight's performance of Into The Woods and I had to write a review. The word "Amazing" falls short of just how wonderful the cast and the entire play was. All of the parts were perfectly played and sung by some of the most talented actors and actresses we have ever seen. This is the second MTOC event we have attended and have been blown away each time. Randomly stumbled across this place by their Facebook page, and thought, "why not, I like Beauty And The Beast, I'll give this a shot." Got here, and pulled up to what looks like a high school. Open up the program and see that there are high schoolers, and younger kids in this production. I began to grow a bit skeptic, and wondered if this was worth the $25 I had spent. Let me tell you, it was worth every penny. I was vey much shocked at how great the production value was. The costumes, the sets, and the actors did such a wonderful job. MTOC is the gold standard in professional live musical theater. The first show I attended was Tarzan, and it was better then going to Broadway. They do not miss the slightest nuance. Lighting, costumes, sets, concession were all perfect. The performers used microphones, as the theater seats 600, and the sound engineers really knew what they were doing. Performers go through an intense audition process to hopefully be selected. Many times theater goers see a show, at MTOC, you experience theater magic. There is nothing like it! read more
