Both were super creamy and delicious with a perfect balance of fruit. Also there is seating available inside and some outside as well. Found this place on yelp. It's such a cute little place. Upon entering, the owner was in the back mixing up her next creation. Very friendly, told me about her cheesecakes I think she said she has over 20 different varieties and they just rotate them out. I got a slice of Keylime and a slice of vanilla with strawberry topping. She had all kinds of stuff though. Including tea and coffee. Stop in if you get a chance. You won't regret it. read more

Came across this Cheesecake while having dinner at The Stave, in Frankfort,KY ( a different review ) It was Apple Caramel Cheesecake.... OMG DELICIOUS!!! So, we took a trip to Downtown Lexington, KY to find her store. Drove through a neighborhood to get there and it looks like a small house turned Bakery business. The counter was full of cheesecakes from which to choose !! We pulled 4 slices to take home. (They freeze well) ). This place is a little gem, I had seen people post about this place but have never had a chance to stop by. The place is a cute little house on 6th street with a very homey feeling. I assume the owner was who helped me and she was super friendly and answered all my questions and even provided some of the details of how she makes them. It was a nice experience. The cocoa bomb was really pretty and designed so well. But personally I'm not sure they are completely my thing. But I was glad I got experience the craze. The star of the show is the cheesecake though they've done a really good job with providing really rich flavors without being too overwhelming. They crust on the slices were perfect texture and the cheesecake was creamy and has the perfect firmness for cheesecake. The flavors on both ways were really strong and could tell they worked on perfecting the flavor profiles. I'm big into snacking, and my husband and I often pick different dishes or small plates when we go out to eat allowing us to sample a little bit of this and a little bit of that. The cheesecake flights here suit us PERFECTLY. Plus, it's such a fun idea! Loved the variety of options and attention to detail on each small cake, very delicious! DELICIOUS! I got to try their mini cheesecakes (White Chocolate Raspberry, Nutella Chocolate, Reese's, and Blackberry) and they were all respectively tasty. I will say the Nutella Chocolate one didn't quite taste like Nutella, but it did taste like a chocolate cheesecake. I also got a chocolate and salted caramel cookie and a cocoa bomb (so pretty I didn't want to melt it). Cookie was soft with a slight crunch and you could really taste the salted caramel chunks. I didn't really realize how convenient this place was to get to. Went on a Saturday. Wheelchair accessible with a little help. Owner was there and was very helpful. Very good selection and nice candles etc to look at while trying to make a decision which cheesecake you want. I couldn't, so I got three small ones. It's been a few months and I can't recall which I decided on, but something with bourbon and peach, and a vanilla with blackberries and the last I can't recall. I ordered a chocolate cheesecake for my daughter's birthday and when Ruth found out that she knew my daughter, she said she would make it look special and did she ever. I regret not getting a picture because it was absolutely beautiful. I ordered the triple chocolate cheesecake and Ruth put chocolate dipped strawberries with mint leaves on top for extra decoration. So, so, SO disappointed! We were looking for dessert and checked YELP for suggestions and came across Backroads Bakery. Because they share space with Bodega and their information advises that they do so only "two days a week", I called to inquire about when and where (else?) I could get cheesecake. "Ben" answered the phone and advised that both the Bodega and Third Street Stuff carries his cheesecakes. His attitude was dry to the point of almost being rude. But, we wanted cheesecake. Considering that Third Street Stuff has better parking, I ventured there. To my surprise, there were only two (individual) cheesecakes and they were both the same flavor (Unicorn?). The girl behind the counter said she couldn't tell us what flavor it was or how it tasted because she didn't know. I asked her if they typically had only one flavor and she advised that they usually had more but they just hadn't been restocked. Talk about disappointing! We bypassed Missy's Pie Shop, drove through downtown traffic and waited in the SLOW line at Third Street Stuff for nothing. We ended up at Missy's anyway. Sometimes, fate gives you signs that steer you away from a particular situation. I should've listened this time. UPDATE: After receiving the response from Backroads Bakery, I'm compelled to give them another try-this time at the Bodega. And because they do not represent Backroads Bakery as they should, (which is completely unfair to them) I will not be returning to Third Street Stuff. Seriously some of the best cheesecake I have ever had. It's dense, creamy, sweet but not cloying, and the toppings are out of this world. My persona fave is the raspberry with a close second to the lemon curd. I have had 5 of the flavors offered and they are all delicious. My sweet friend will be turning 90 on the 15th and I live about 8 hours away. Wanting to do something special to honor that milestone, I looked for businesses that deliver. After looking over the selection of baked goods, I contacted a lovely lady named Ruth who helped me through the process. Backroads was able to deliver a fabulous cheesecake the same day!
