7/14/24 My husband and I came here as we were craving something sweet and different. We opted for a chocolate peanut butter smoothie. It was made to order and very delicious. The ambiance inside is very tropical and inviting, they even had some cute backdrops. Definitely a neat concept to lexington and a sweet treat to enjoy. The service was very quick and accommodating, staff were friendly and helpful for us to figure out what to order as it was our first time.

Came here for the viral Dubai chocolate strawberry cups. Came 3 days in a row. IFKYK. I'd come everyday but $17 x 365 =$6,205.00 and that number makes me sad lol. But it I could afford to eat this everyday I would. This has kicked my crumbl addiction and makes me feel a little better because ultimately, strawberries, pistachios, and a little chocolate is like trail mix right? lol. Beautiful little cafe. IG-ready wall for those who need a cute picture for the experience.

Had the best ever pistachio waffle here! Yummylicious! I went the first time weeks ago in support of local business... and especially Palestinian business. I've been back multiple times a week because of the quality n taste of their offerings! Everything is delicious... from their fresh juices (reminds me of juice shops in Pakistan!) to their sweet stuff... and icecream actually is outta this world! Totally recommended!

After seeing the photos, I had to try their Dubai crepe. I was not disappointed. It is a work of art and tastes absolutely amazing. The portion is definitely shareable and feels like it weighs a pound. A seriously decadent treat.

What a neat, fun, new place to try! I didn't necessarily intend to end up here, but when I googled smoothies near me, this popped up. So I headed over to try it out. I ordered a fresh fruit smoothie and the crepes sounded so good I got one of those too! I was a bit taken back by the prices but It's huge!! And so beautiful!!! The man that made it was very nice and helped me decide what to try. I definitely want to take my daughter here one day for a special treat! If you are super hungry you could eat one yourself but they are really big enough to share. Absolutely delicious!

This place is disgusting. First off the people were rude. Secondly I paid close to 40 dollars for subpar food at best. I got 2 teeny tiny thin dubai chocolate bars that were already melted as soon as I bought them. Then I wanted to try the dubai chocolate strawberry cup and it had rotten strawberries in it. Do not go here. If you need dubai chocolate literally go anywhere else. It is overpriced garbage.

Got the strawberry Dubai cup. Very tasty and good service! Also gave me a Dubai chocolate square to try and it was delicious.

    CREPE SUSHI

Every time we come here we have another amazing item. Today we got the crepe sushi which is like a sampler because you get all the flavors and it was INCREDIBLE. We always get a Dubai chocolate strawberries cup to take to go and it never disappoints.

A sweet delicious treat! Located in Hamburg across from Activate and next to Chicos. This is an excellent place for a quick drink, snack or dessert. A friend and I stopped in for a snack. I ordered a qishta cocktail which was like a lighter, nutty and fruity milkshake with loads of mixed nuts on top. If you like nuts, this is right up your alley. To top it all off we shared a pistachio crepe which was covered in rich pistachio creme and white chocolate drizzle. It was rich and decadent. My mouth was so happy but I'm glad I shared because of how rich it was. Can't wait to go back because there was a long list of ice creams, waffles, pancakes and more crepes to try and lots of nutella. Plus there fridge was stock full of fresh fruit! Go try them out!

He's from this general area and recommended this spot, among a few others. I picked it because I liked the vibe, which I stand by in hindsight. Last Thursday was an atrocious weather day, raining for most of the time including the entire morning as we drove up to Lexington from Irvine. Since we'd never been over here, Josie's wasn't necessarily easy to spot apart from the other nearby businesses. It WAS very obviously in this larger strip mall situation (which doesn't seem like exactly the right term, but it's definitely in a building with a bunch of other stores), though we had to walk around almost the entire perimeter from our parking spot on Euclid to find it. Once we did, smooth sailing. Despite the fact that it was a weekday, Josie's was pretty busy when we walked in around 10ish. We WERE heading toward MDW, which could have been a factor, but this seems to be a pretty popular establishment regardless. It feels pretty new - this isn't like an old school greasy spoon diner type of situation - with some interesting artwork on the walls, and booths, regular tables and counter stools potentially available. Our colleague was already there and had secured a booth towards the back closer to the bathrooms, which allowed for some fun viewpoints of most of the restaurant. We were already a few days into our debauchery of a road trip, so I kept it pretty well-behaved - I opted for waffles with strawberries. That's it. The food came very quickly, as did the requested coffee, which might have ultimately been more important than the aforementioned waffles in the grand scheme of things. I honestly don't have a lot to say about them other than that they were perfectly fine waffles. The strawberries were fresh, the waffles themselves were cooked through but not too crispy, and that was that. I think it's a little hard to mess up something this basic, and thankfully all was well. The service was excellent throughout and even though I didn't foot any part of the bill (a thank you to our Kentucky colleague), the prices seemed very reasonable to me - though I also have a completely distorted perspective given that most of my consumerism takes place in the NYC area. No issues here; didn't see a ton of reasons to wander back into Lexington unless somehow Coach Cal comes back to coach the Cats and I miraculously score tickets to something at Rupp, but this was a nice little spot.

This visit marked our third time at OBC Kitchen, and once again, it did not disappoint. This time we experimented with timing and booked an early reservation at 2:45 pm on a Saturday. We crossed over into the dinner menu and discovered something wonderful: the service and ambiance were even better than the busier evening hours after 6 pm. The staff was exceptionally attentive. Every dish and cocktail option was explained thoughtfully, which I appreciate, especially because I enjoy cocktails that come with a bit of theater. When drinks are presented with care, described well, and executed beautifully, the experience becomes part performance, part craft. Here, they delivered perfectly. The food, as always, was superb. We shared several chef selections including Beef Tallow Fries, Southern Grouper, Bacon in a Glass, and the Cola-Braised Short Ribs. Each dish was rich, flavorful, and confidently executed. Dessert continued the celebration with the Churro Cheesecake, and to our delight we were also gifted the Warm Buttermilk Donuts, which felt like a small act of culinary generosity. In a departure from my usual Manhattan and Old Fashioned flights, I tried a Bloody Mary and The Cure, both excellent and beautifully balanced. At this point I can confidently say OBC Kitchen is one of my favorite restaurants in the country. The consistency, creativity, and hospitality make every visit memorable. A special thank you to the team who took care of us on Saturday, March 7th, 2026. You elevated an already wonderful experience and made it even better than usual.
