The vibes were good, calm and inviting with Denise on register. I didn't plan to get much but ended up with some patchouli incense, black tourmaline (cleansing aura, dispelling negative energies/thoughts) and apache tea crystals (emotional healing) and a cleansing kit I had recently seen on the HOI online shop. The store had a new brightness to it with a slight shift in displays since my first trip in a few years ago. I stop in once in a blue moon and am definitely glad I strolled in today. The harmony of Fleetwood Mac (via Stevie Nicks) Seven Wonders leading the way. Palo Santo, candles, cards, crystals, kits, stones, charms, tarot, and beyond. This intuitive/spiritual/holistic and more shop is still one I adore. All items are very reasonable in price and of quality. Ample street parking (metered) and local lots being your best access as well as local LA Metro bus transit. I'm roughly a twenty to twenty five minute walk away. So when the weather is nice I definitely find my way here. The service is great and all the staff is extremely knowledgeable. They have a little over half a dozen locations with the Echo Park store being their flagship. The Sherman Oaks store being their only San Fernando Valley shop and one I implore you to explore. Open from 11am to 7pm all seven days of the week, "If I live to see the seven wonders.... I'll make a path to the rainbow's end..."

I had a chance to spot a fun crystal that will be perfect to give a friend that recently opened a new business. The crystal is a selenite mini egg which is good for purification and new beginnings. I also called the store number and emailed, but got no reply. My friends and I waited outside for 30 minutes before finally leaving. This was supposed to be a fun birthday outing, and instead, we were left standing in a parking lot, disappointed and frustrated. As of today (a full day later), I still haven't heard a word from the owner. I've since contacted my credit card company to dispute the charge. Absolutely unacceptable customer service. I feel like I've been scammed. Be very cautious if you're thinking of booking anything here.

I went in the next day and asked again and the owners said yes once again- great. It was downhill after that. The worker assisting us was so horrendous and rude I'm surprised she still has a job. I selected the items I wanted and after every item I picked she was pushy and judgmental, constantly asking if I'm done and who the item I'm purchasing is for. That aside when the time came to purchase my items she refused to honor the sale promotion. She had the audacity to state that I was already getting a good deal and there was no way she was going to apply the promotion. I told her I confirmed with the owners twice at this point and they said that the promotion would be honored. The worker gave attitude and stated the owners aren't at the store and there wasn't anything she could do. She then had me call the owner myself in front of her to prove to the worker that the owner truly did say the promotion will be honored. At this point im just surprised I stayed and took this blatant disrespect but I was trying to be respectful which this worker clearly knew nothing about. After getting the owner on the phone, she finally told the worker she will be honoring the promotion. The worker did not like that and took the phone to the back office to have a private conversation (after she forced me to talk in front of her) and then came back and handed me the phone. The owner told me that they will NOT be honoring the promotion. If you couldn't honor it, why did you waste my time and your time? I could have just ordered it online...which I ended up doing. This was just a huge disappointment and I will never be coming back. Disgraceful.
