She informed me they don't allow accessory exchanges. A friend had already warned our card group about their bad business policies after the owner refused to honor a $200 gift certificate her daughters gifted her for her bday. The owner told her she'd announced on Facebook that they would no longer allow previous certificates. But my friend doesn't subscribe to FB and knew nothing of it. (Going to also let my friend know who gifted me the purse as well as others who don't deserve this sort of nonsense.) Finally, don't be fooled by the earlier reviews. This is a new owner who's made these decisions to disregard my friend's and my requests. Save yourself the aggravation and shop at E & Co Boutique in the Marketplace on Hamilton, Rooted Boutique downtown or Chico's. We women deserve more respect re our hard-earned money while shopping in SC.

I love the style of the place 95% of the time. It's a little pricier, but the clothes are very good quality, so paying a little more isn't that big of a deal. The owner keeps the place decorated all the time and doesn't hesitate to help local nonprofits and the schools. She's big into helping the community. The store carried little girls, women's, and plus size clothing. Shoes, jewelry, purses, hats & scarves can be found as well. Candles and home decor are sold around the holiday times. A website has been added for the place recently. Heard a small rumor this place is closing in the next year or so. I surely hope not! I swear half my wardrobe if from there now! Love the place. I get a little discouraged when I go into the store because the employees kinda look at me like, "You're not fat. Why are you here?" They have the CUTEST Disney stuff. I have an adorable pair of Alice in Wonderland leggings that I just love. They have the best t-shirts, too. I wonder if a small would fit me ok. Anywhoo, besides getting looked at and typically ignored when I shop, I love this store. Their style is all me. The service is why I gave 4 stars, otherwise it would be all 5.

Boot Barn

I rarely go into this store because they're biggest sellers are boot and hats. I don't require…read moreeither of these items. Some of the western style clothing fits my personal style, but not much. I shop here mainly for my husband. He was gifted a flannel button-up for Christmas 2020 and it was too small so I needed to go exchange the shirt. Store didn't have any more. No big deal, found a different one. Waited in line for 16min before being informed that their computers were down and couldn't do an exchange. Wow...glad no one said anything to all of us waiting!!!!! (About 3 people in line left after they finally announced that.) Went back a week later and did the exchange. No problem. Found out about an hour later they left the security tag on. Took me another 10min line wait to get it removed because only 1 person was working and they were in small argument with a customer about boot stretching. Another employee came from the back, I flagged her down and she took off the tag. I've done plenty of retail...if there's a line you speak to the other people in line. Especially for a more expensive store such as this one. *sigh* Customer service isn't what it used to be. Or should be.

Another thing is that the big girl with brown hair needs to stay off her phone and help customers there are more times than any I have had to sit there and wait to be helped. It is unprofessional and quite frankly rude. Although the sales employees are very good at there job. I was helped by three of them to help me find boots and clothes for my family. There is a short brown haired girl who tried to help me who seems to know nothing about retail and is the Assistant store manager. I think it would be in boot barns best interest to consider and new one. Maybe someone who actually knows western wear. Until then you will no longer be giving you my business.

I was a loyal customer until recently. Everything is now over priced and the store is full of…read moreclutter. Items that would easily sell for a reasonable price now sit for months. I believe the organization may sustain its greatest revenue by trying to get rid of items at a decent price versus asking higher dollar and on a select items. There are no longer special shopping days at the turn of the season. I am uncertain of who took over the new business model but I can for sure tell you it doesn't seem appealing.
