DaWayne, the owner, came out to our property and the Engineers report and go went over what would need to be done. He made us aware of the permitting process and told us it would take at least 30 days before the permit would be approved. Within a couple days of receiving the permit we were put on their list to begin work. His crew was professional and we are very happy with the work that was done. We hope to enjoy the same kind of responsiveness and professionalism in years to come. I hate to leave a less than positive review as we absolutely feel Alcorn does high quality work for…read morea reasonable price, but in this instance we simply feel ripped off and will likely not make use of their services again We had Alcorn electric out here (as we have several times before) due to no power to a couple of our outlets. As always, they were professional, polite, and able to get us on the schedule quickly. (One of the outlets that was not working is the one that provides electricity to our tankless water heater). We are first time homeowners and admittedly unfamiliar with all things electric (hence the call to an electrician when we could not determine why several outlets were not working). We had tried the breakers but did not know/think to look for a tripped GFI switch. In less than 10 minutes, Alcorn head located the trip to GFI and push the button. We were then sent an invoice for $150.00 To say we were shocked was an understatement we absolutely appreciate that time is money and have no problem paying for peoples time and professional services.... but in this instance to maintain $150 callout fee when the work required was simply to locate and reset a GFI switch left a very bad taste in our mouths. Even a reduced fee would have been more decent in our opinion. As I mentioned, this is not in any way a reflection on the quality of work and professionalism that Alcorn provides. They have done substantial jobs for us in the past and we have been nothing but pleased. Unfortunately this last encounter has left us searching for a new electrician for future jobs. Alcorn appears to have many positive reviews- all deserved. I am certain this won't impact their business, nor should it. We were just caught off guard by the charge and after asking others in the community their opinion- all were in agreement so we opted to share our experience.

The work crew was experienced, professional, and considerate . During installation, extra care was taken around my irrigation system, buried fiber optic cable, and young trees close to the work site. The different phases of tear down and new installation were properly timed to prevent down time. Well, unknown to me, a new driveway apron that was barely 2 months old was damaged by their septic truck driving over a concrete safety rail. I called them and said I could send them pics of the damage their truck had done. They told me they don't pay for damages but went through the motion of me sending them the pics. She said she consulted with the owner and "we don't pay for damages, we don't do that". The repair cost was $250 and they were willing to forego recurring revenue so as not to pay for the damages their truck and driver did. We had to call another company for work on the pump and they showed up the next day and it was all done and working. I would suggest Acton Septic Inc 940-548-5778 for any of your septic needs. T&L doesn't deserve your business if they can't take responsibility for damage they cause.
