First the person who inspected clearly did not me, the person paying for the service to walk around with him. Second he pointed out things like torn screens, not the type of thing one needs a home inspection for but he did not address a bump in the hall way floor hardwood that as it turns out was not support according to code. Nor did he mention extension cords in the crawl space of the aun room addition that clearly re not to code. Nor did he address four little brackets that someone put on the floor joist allegedly an effort to provide some type of support. And finally he did not address the sinking of part of the floor in the sun room. All things we have noticed after moving in. These are things that would have effected the offer we made. i understand there are no guarantees associated with home inspections but these are clearly things that should have been at a minimum mentioned in the report read more

Matt is not thorough. I've had several inspectors over the years with my rentals and he was one of the worst. Poor customer service as well. I do not recommend. I had him inspect a 675 square foot condo. There was no HVAC, water heater, basement or roof to inspect. He admitted he could not get the small electrical panel open during the inspection. So, I asked him to go back and inspect it since I paid him $200 for a simple condo inspection and there was almost nothing to inspect. He said he would have to charge me more. That is laziness! Matt seemed very professional and thorough during and after the inspection. Among the many things Matt missed was improperly installed electrical work under a deck (screened in porch). A fan that was installed in the porch not using treated lumber. He also missed a deck door that was rotten and the frame is broken (looks like it was broken into). Matt noted one shingle was not sealed down properly and recommend it be glued down. After purchase more shingles blew off. Roofer noted that the shingles were not properly installed and will only last a few more years. It would have been helpful if Matt had recommended a roofer inspect, but he did not. When I brought the porch issues to Matt he insinuated I was playing games, then apologized. He offered me $40-50 compensation for the thousands of dollars in repairs. Would not recommend read more
