Awesome store. It's huge. Much better selection that the store in Pickering…read more The stuff is super friendly and helpful! We came at the end of the day on the New Year's eve and I forgot my purse when I was leaving. I only realized when I was on my way home when they called my husband's cell from my cell phone. Although the store was already closed, they waited for us to come back and pickup the purse. So very grateful. Awesome-awesome people!

So the Big K headed in first while I went to Dollarama nearby to waste some time. How long could buying a hockey stick take? I finally had to enter National Sports to investigate the Big K's disappearance and within record time I was greeted by a very friendly salesperson who not only found The Big K for me, but three perfectly wonderful, very expensive hockey sticks that could significantly improve The Big K's game (and in sum total cost more than my dishwasher.) After much careful consideration, The Big K finally settled on "just one" (thank goodness) from this neatly organized and well-stocked store. I rushed the Big K with stick in hand to the check-out (in an effort to prevent him from buying anything else.) Even the cashier was super-charming and personable and made paying the large bill less painful. Final words: bring lots of cash. This store is conducive to shopping.

It seems a bit odd to have a sports store -- for local sports teams -- at the airport. But there…read moremust be a lot of Toronto sports fans coming and going: This Terminal 3 location was added after the rousing success of The Scoreboard at Terminal 1. At the time of my visit, the Toronto area was rapt in the Toronto Raptors (NBA) Championship run. I'm impressed that the store wasn't wall-to-wall Raptors and "We the North" fashions. Oh, don't get me wrong, there's A LOT of Raptors stuff, but there's an equal amount of Maple Leafs (NHL) and Blue Jays (MLB) gear. You'll even find the smattering of options for those Toronto Argonauts (CFL) fans The Scoreboard brings high quality stuff: T-shirts, hats, caps, sweaters, hoodies, uniforms, jerseys, winter gear, shorts, regular and travel mugs, water bottles, coffee decals, backpacks, stuffed toys, and the rest of officially licensed team gear. They have "50% off" but that's 50% off with a grain of salt ... when you take into account inflated airport prices, it's a mere decent deal. Still, it's the highest-quality sports gear I saw on my trip to Toronto. This store shoots ... and SCORES!

There was also some generic Team Toronto stuff for those who wanted a catch all. I'm a sucker for team merchandise and I'm frequently at the stores at games and online stores (official and resellers) to look for different items. I have to hand it to The Scoreboard that actually has things that I've never seen before. The Raptors dragon and unicorn plushies were a few mythical items that were new to me. They also had pretty high quality Raptors gear including a really smart looking championship bomber for men. I took a look at the pricing and it wasn't any more expensive than what you find at Sport Chek, National Sport, or even on the NBA online store.
