Super great beer!! Such friendly staff!! I wish I lived in Portland so I could be a regular here. The beer was delicious. And If you're wanting to grab food and have a beer there is a food cart lot right next door with a pizza cart, Mexican food cart others. They have both a great patio and a great back porch too!! I'd definitely come back!

Thankful to find Baerlic next to a group of food carts on Alberta. We were on the hunt for pizza slices as part of #portlandpizzaweek. Diverse drink options including a sage cider which I chose and enjoyed the uniqueness of it. They allow you to bring outside food. Indoor and patio seating. Large windows to let in lots of light! That same evening they were hosting a beginners' watercolor event after work which thry appear to host monthly right now Would definitely come back for the good vibes, good drinks and good food next door!

Poor service. Ignorant. Staff . Never go there! Unfortunately Portland has places like this still around. Awful staff and service.

On tap selections split pretty evenly between IPAS and lagers. Nice and cool indoor space

My wife and I drove over 30 minutes to visit this location because we were looking forward to enjoying good BBQ, tacos and a beer. Unfortunately, the political signage displayed throughout the windows and establishment made us feel unwelcome, so we decided not to stay. Great Notion and Matt's BBQ Tacos, you've pushed away customers who came ready to support your business and spend money with you. I wish you the best, but it seems you've chosen to operate not only as a restaurant and brewery, but also as a platform for political messaging. That's your right, of course, but it's a direction that may alienate customers who simply want to enjoy good food and drinks without politics being part of the experience.

The Blueberry Muffin is an all-time favorite, and even though I get annoyed when they're sold out, it's never enough to keep me away. Most times I get a flight and try a bunch of different things. This location is charming. It has the industrial decor that now feels cliché but was groundbreaking for beer and burger spots a decade ago. With a very large patio and big garage doors, it's great during summer especially. Staff is knowledgeable about their beer, patient while we deliberated, and did us a favor to help the beer travel on the plane. The kitchen is now operated by Matt's BBQ Tacos (which I will review separately).

While they have a handful of beers you don't see everywhere else in town, I can't say that any of them I've tried have been worthy of the price. They aren't even the higher ABV specialty beers or unique styles most places charge a little more for. You can go anywhere else on Alberta and get a full 16oz. pint of great beer for $5-6. And this place is basically just a tent, with less of the other overhead costs of a brick & mortar. Similar story for their wine. While I'm less of a wine drinker, friends who I brought here recently were also put off by the price ($10/pour), for average house style wines. I love the food trucks in the Whale Pod but this place ain't worth it just because they slapped a French name on it.

I love that they have cider, especially flavors I have never tried before such as the blood orange that I got. Overall the cider was good but nothing to really rave about and unfortunately the price was quite high, too high to really stay and have a few drinks. It was convenient thought and I did appreciate that it was there.

Our dinner at Swiss Hibiscus was a truly special experience. Guy Fieri ate there! We stumbled upon…read morethe place by accident - I might have thought it was a coffee or dessert shop from the name, but that's on me. It's a cozy, comfortable space with a Swiss flag and one of those giant horns like in the Ricola ads. I ate with three people and we split up to tackle a good sampling of the menu. We had the Weinerschnitzel (chicken) and Jägerschnitzel (pork). The meal was well-paced. The salad dressing was unique but familiar, they serve it with hot, crusty bread and on the salad (cabbage and house) I could have drank the dressing. I shouldn't, but could have. The schnitzels were fantastic - both the brown butter and the brown gravy. Sides: Spätzle (the garlicky noodles) and the hash brown thing with the bacon. You guys, we ate EVERYTHING. We've never seen our 10 year old eat so much good food. (To be fair, the boy and I had only eaten Chex Mix that day while my wife was at the spa...but I digress.) We felt well taken care of. This was my first time visiting as an out-of-towner and I felt as welcome as visiting family for dinner. We finished the meal with the Lilikoi Cheesecake. My kid surprised me by saying "That's passionfruit!" (which he learned from the Kona Ice truck). Light and decadent. Great meal!

We ordered a rosti for an appetizer which doesn't disappoint, just like how I remember from Zurich. We both ordered dishes with spaetzle, schnitzel and goulash. I opt for a salad with the famous Martin's dressing while my wife gets a French onion soup she claims is the best she's ever had and that's saying something, because we've eaten 3 Michelin Star French onion soup so I try it and now I'm a believer. The chicken broth is so tasty, the onions and cheese are wonderful. It's the simple things really that can make one happy. After conversation and lots of eating, we soon find we've devoured our plates. It's been awhile since I had really good spaetzle so this was a treat. Service was attentive at every step. The dining experience like high end but in a more casual setting. Would go here again. Recommend reservations since seating is limited.
