He said he couldn't source the leaf springs and would have to wait till Monday. This was on a Saturday, We found the leaf springs at a near by shop for $75, I wasn't familiar 100% with the part number so we didn't buy them. He ended buying the parts where we told him we found them but he said he didn't and bought them somewhere else, because we knew what that store was selling them for and later we would find out that he would mark up the price double. Long story short he charged us 7 hours of labor to replace 2 leaf springs. Total bill came out to almost $1300 for replacing 2 leaf springs. I expect a business to make money but it's sad when a business takes advantage of someone in a time of need. I called, the dispatcher, said she'd need to get a quote from her supervisor, then call me back. She called 10 minutes later with a quote for $195, sent me the invoice, and said she'd dispatch a driver. I paid the invoice, and did not hear back for almost 30 minutes. I called her back, she said the driver was on his way to pick up the lockout kit from their yard - across the street from the Pilot. Ten minutes later I get a call from their driver, he asked the year/make/model of my car, and said he'd be there in 10-15 minutes. Another 30 minutes goes by and I receive a call from their dispatch and she tells me her driver said he wouldn't be able to unlock my car because of the key fob being in the car - I told her this was the 2nd time I have done this, and it wasn't an issue last time. She once again said they couldn't do it, and her supervisor would need to be the one to issue me a refund because she couldn't - but was unaware of how long it would take to post back to my account. I called another tow truck company. The driver was there within 5 minutes, used the same lockout kit that was used before - with absolutely no damage to my car - and I was on my way within 20 minutes of my phone call to them. Also, for a third of the price! If you need ANY type of tow service in the Madera area, use Ron's!!! DO NOT USE THIS PRICE GOUGING COMPANY!!!
