Our expectations were low going into this and somehow we were still disappointed. We had free passes and chose the Da Vinci room since our kids are younger and ended up bailing not even halfway through. Several props weren't working and the employee struggled to give clear instructions and had to check with the manager several times to troubleshoot. And the room is like a stuffy attic. I gave it a three because we did have some fun. That being said there was little to no story and thought out hints in the Willy Wonka escape room. There's no hint to lead you to the next mission when switching rooms. The batteries for the blacklight were almost dead or the flashlight was almost dead. I don't know why they don't use rechargeable batteries that are switched out every session. The glow in the dark paint might even need to be reapplied. All in all it was fun but i think they could have designed it better. read more

The staff was super helpful and friendly. I called ahead because I use a wheelchair and was advised that the Golden Ticket rooms might be a bit tricky to navigate, but that the others would work well. We ended up doing the DaVinci room and it was great. The puzzles get easier once you know what you're looking for. Overall it was a fun time. A few accessibility notes: They have two glass doors at the front entrance, but only one of them opens (unless you're the magical employee with the key to the second door - and that person wasn't present when I arrived) so the entrance is narrow, BUT they have a standard utility door entrance to the side - and that's actually a better entrance for people using wheelchairs because it leads straight to the hallway where you then enter the DaVinci room (or Jailbreak or The Trap). The only other thing I can think to mention is that the DaVinci room was pretty dark, so we had a hard time reading things - I used my phone flashlight and that worked fine. read more

At first I thought it was weird that this place was at the mall, but Baffled had some pretty good escape rooms and it was a very convenient location. They are located at the Rogue Valley Mall, on the second floor, next to J.C. Penny's. There was plenty of parking and the place was easy to find. Try to get there at least 15 minutes early so you can sign the waiver and get instructions before you start. They have some small lockers in the lobby where you can put your stuff, but they don't lock and aren't monitored. Bring your valuables with you into the escape room. My husband and I did the "Saving Wonderland" room first (like "Alice in", not "Your Body is a"). That room is easy difficulty and meant for 2-6 people. Nobody else booked the room, so it was just the two of us. We have done a few escape rooms before and we really enjoyed "Saving Wonderland." We got out with only 23 seconds left! We thought some of the puzzles were really clever/unique and the theme was really cute. A few days later we came back to do "The Dollhouse" room with a friend. That room is moderate difficulty and meant for 2-10 people. Nobody else showed up, so it was just the three of us. That room had a cool theme too - it was a dark, creepy dollhouse (but not too scary). We enjoyed the room, but I thought it was way too hard for three people to finish in one hour. We only got through about 50% of it. I wouldn't even try this room unless you have a group of at least 5 people. Both times we really liked the staff member who was monitoring our game. They were friendly and helpful. They also took our picture afterwards (win or lose). They also have some escape rooms in White Center, so we might check those out sometime. read more

3 of us did the Kidnapped room. We had an interesting time! We got checked in easily when we arrived and an employee made sure our room was ready. There were quite a few ground rules he went over with us, most importantly that the electrical panels for the building were in our room and everything with caution tape and a do not touch sticker on it had to be left alone. It felt like there was a lot of stuff in the room we weren't meant to interact with. The plot of the kidnapping didn't make much sense, we were supposedly trapped in a warehouse with a bomb about to go off. There were "missions" to accomplish to get out and a tablet we could use to get clues or answers. The room wasn't fully set up, he didn't start the bomb timer, a flashlight was dying, and the tablet had more missions than we needed to do. Don't get me wrong, it was fun and all and we managed to escaped, but it felt a little flawed. Also, when we were leaving, a staff member asked us if we had a good time and then immediately bashed another group that was playing, saying they were a terrible group of kids. It just left a bad taste in my mouth. Don't know if I'd go back but it was a good time. read more

We had such a great time we did two rooms! They offer a reduced rate for your 2nd visit or at least they did when we were visiting. The staff was fun and made it a great experience. We did not escape the first one in time but we did the second with minutes to spare. We would definitely return and try another room. It was a perfect way to spend a rainy day! read more

Our group had an extremely frustrating experience at Baffled's Willy Wonka room. The first red flag was that the game master told us that if the flash light was dead or if that components of the game weren't working, to let him know. Unfortunately, this was a sign of trouble to come. Then, we were specifically told that we would need to find batteries for a combination black light/flashlight. Once the time started we spent fifteen minutes trying to solve the first puzzle that required said black light/flashlight, only to discover that flashlight and its battery were not in the room. Not to mention, we only discovered that these components were missing because we asked for a clue on said puzzle. Our game master wasn't able to find the original black light/flashlight and gave us a black light and flashlight to use. A few minutes later, another employee came in and gave us the original light that had been in his pocket the entire time. In neither instance did the staff offer to restart or gives us additional time even though the they did not properly complete the room's set up. When we didn't end up not escaping, our game master didn't walk us through the remaining puzzles and admitted that he didn't know how to solve one of the puzzles. I have done several escape rooms and the game masters have always offered to quickly explain the unsolved puzzles and have never not known how to solve a component of the room. Additionally, while there were some interesting elements and puzzles, there were some puzzle and components of the room that were needlessly confusing, finicky, and/or that unnecessarily wasted time. Unfortunately, what could be a solid room was ruined by several easily mitigated flaws. read more

I booked this room for my wife and I with short notice. The escape room place we were planning for canceled on us, so we took a shot at this one. We arrived (or thought we did) a little early so we spent some time at a place we thought was next door. Luckily Amberley from Baffled phoned me when I didn't show up 15 minutes before the appointment time. It turns out we were at the wrong escape room place across town. We raced across town and made it to the correct place with moments to spare. My fault, thanks Amberley! This location is on the second floor of the mall with nice large windows which made it easy to find (if you drive to the right place). The business is clean and all three of the staff members we met were super friendly. We did the Wonderland escape room with a random family we met there. They were super nice. I love meeting new people while doing escape rooms. My wife and I had read and watched Alice in Wonderland several times over so we caught on to the puzzles quick. However no one in the other family had so they were at a little disadvantage but still took on the puzzles at face value. We ended up running out of time on the last step (puzzle) but still had an amazing time! Many thanks to the crew of Baffled! read more

This place is poorly maintained. Electronic malfunction made the escape impossible... and only functioned after reset by the manager... After the time was up!!! Another employee explained that "the owner has been trying to order a part" for the defective switch box. No offer of refund or re-experience in a different room. The room we did which was the Da Vinci one. Everything in it was not connected very obviously and the last puzzle expected us to have superhuman hearing and echo location for some reason. The employee who was also supposed to be helping/overseeing the room, seemed slightly irritated at us for some reason. I have only done two of the rooms here and they just aren't as good. I suggest either trying a different place or testing your luck on the other rooms they offer. read more

To quote Pam from the office at it's best it was an escape room, at it's worst it was a frustrating poorly made cage. We did the Willy Wonka one first. This was compromised of a bunch of chests and Easter eggs? With little to no props. It was pretty bad. The second two we did were better. The Davinci's Secret one was the best in my opinion and was really thought through. If I had to rank the three we did it would go Davinci, Kidnapped, and then Wonka bar. The staff was really great and helpful. If you're looking for something to do I would definitely recommend the Davinci room or something older than the Willy Wonka one. If you like challenges then maybe try it, but if you're more like me and are new to this I would go with one of the others. Other than that it was really great and fun. I definitely think that we were on each others nerves a lot because we were all frustrated from the first one. read more

This place was run down garbage dump. The props looked unrealistic and it did not feel like I was breaking out of jail. The clues were random off the wall crap and we didn't have fun. It was dirty and they didn't even really want to help us on the walkie-talkie. Never coming back read more

i went here today and one of the props were dead so our clue didn't drop out and we awaited about 25 minutes trying to figure it out we asked for help on the walkie talkie and the person gave us the wrong directions a few times for one of the clues and totally ignored the fact that nothing was happening when we put the golden ticket on the duck. read more
