Beautiful setting across street from lake Hyatt. Great food and service. Super friendly staff. Cabin clean but furniture very uncomfortable. WiFi works great in restaurant but not so hot in cabin.

Yes you must come here, weather permitting. Situated right on the lake it's a nice little oasis in the middle of the mountains. I didn't stay here but enjoyed my time in the cafe where I was warmly greeted, I made the mistake of coming late in the day (5 minutes to go before they closed) and they still were super cool. I got the regular burger and it was very tasty. Fun thing is they also have Shasta soda, which is always awesome to see! Thanks for the great hospitality!

We stayed in the cabins at Hyatt Lake during a 10 day road trip. I booked several months in advanced and checked out their website thoroughly before choosing a cabin. The staff was very friendly and helpful when I called for info and booking and again at check in. It's a long way up the mountain from the closest town but there is a small store and a restaurant onsite. No real need to make the drive into town unless you need to stock up on supplies. There's also another small cafe at the bottom of the hill if you need another food option. The cabins are nicely furnished, well kept, comfortable, and the hot tub on the side deck was a fantastic highlight to our stay. Our cabin was equipped with a mini kitchen including a small fridge and anything we'd need to prepare food. There's a living room area, dining area, nicely updated bathroom and bedroom with a very comfy bed. I had the impression the cabins would actually be "on" the lake but the lake is across the street from the property. Our cabin actually faced the opposite direction into the woods. We were completely fine with this since it seemed more private. The only unfortunate thing about the cabin was the machinery that was running most of one of the days that we stayed. I'm not sure if it was some kind of repairs or upgrades happening but a trench was being dug and then refilled directly across from our cabin. Very loud. We decided to take a long drive around the lake and into the nearest town to get away from the noise. Overall it's a comfortable get away and we really enjoyed the hot tub. Hopefully if we return the construction will be done with and it will be a little more relaxing for our entire stay.

All great stories start out with a tall tale. Mine is not tall..... It's true I've been hiking the PCT for the past week, hitting every resort along the way..... I popped out on a road near Campers Cove campground @ 6pm-- dead tired. I recognized immediately where I was, I had read about the hamburgers and pizzas at the resort in my PTC book..... So I instantly knew I had very little time to put in the extra 1.5 miles to get to the resort, but I questioned my legs.... If I was going to put the legs through hell I had better make sure they were open so I called the resort. Aiden answered the phone and assured me they were open and that they would have cold water and hot food for me. He even sent one of his employees to pick me up at the trailhead. Now here's where my tale begins. I was impatient as always. So I started hiking down the road towards the resort. About 5 minutes later my ride drove right by me, headed to the pick up location........ my bad. I plodded down the road with the pure intention of getting a hamburger before they closed. Fastest 1.5miles hiked that day.... Like 4 minutes flat... Lol (x3). I barged through the front door 10 minutes before closing time and Aiden was there with a glass of water and an apology. He knew his guy had passed me. Didn't matter to me, little did I know I just stumbled into home. I asked Aiden for the biggest meal they had. I didn't even care if it was a burger or not. Before the sweat even stopped dripping off my head, Aiden brought me out a Philly cheesesteak sandwich and fries with onion rings on the side. I was hungry, so hungry In fact, I ate every bite and didn't even take a picture. The crew was gathering in the restaurant for closing / employee dinner. I had several good conversations within minutes of arrival. I'm the first Thru hiker of the season for them. I immediately booked the room for 2 days. My zero day is going to be spent with these amazing folks........ I'm now a groundskeeper here at Hyatt lake resort. They have given me a room in exchange for labor. I'll be here for the next 4 days letting my legs heal up and waiting out a nasty lil storm. I will update after my stay is completed As of this moment..... That may not come. You might have to come find me here. Wink wink. I think I found a slice of paradise..... Maybe I shouldn't be posting this one......?????????

I picked the largest pine cones, hidden in hubby's hoodie (I didn't have a bag), to experiment on. The Magnolia tree greeted us, as we entered the park, was in full bloom. I think it's scented, too! My favorite about this park, was the playground. I spent more time swinging with the youngest grandson, and watching him and his 8 years old playmate (friends since toddlers), and walking around to the nearest creek & bridge. If it wasn't feeling like about to rain, we could have stayed much longer! Oh, they also have to drive back to Portland, today, so off they go, and we stayed longer.

We were wrapping up a Thanksgiving weekend at the time of our visit so leaves have fallen and they may have experienced some rain. It wasn't too chilly, the sun was out and so were the locals (and visitors like us). Lithia Park is a historic park and has combinations of woodland, ponds, gardens, and gorgeous Italian-style fountains. It's no wonder the park has been named the Crown Jewel of Ashland. The park is huge! Lithia Park is located in a lush forested area and also has hiking trails but we didn't go that far. Wow, and I didn't know this but, the park is also a source of Lithia Mineral Water. The park was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982. Review #3266

Had a wonderful time with the family in this gorgeous side of Klamath Falls, Oregon! We wanted to…read moredo both kayaking and zip lining but free from tours and practically do our own kayaking. We decided to purchase them separately - 3-hour tandem kayaking (2 people in 1 kayak) for one day and zip lining for the following day. Unlike some people, we're not super fit individuals so, for us, it was a great idea to separate the 2 activities and get some rest and recuperation in between. The 3-hour kayaking was fantastic with gorgeous views all around. Contrary to what other bad reviews experienced... maybe things have been changed since then? Anyways, from my experience the process was rather simple and painless. The meeting point was clear in the email and a text message with a link to fill out waivers for each party member was very, very simple to complete and submit. Email confirmations were received just in case I needed to show proof of waiver completions. The staff drove the 2 tandem kayaks (family of 4) to the drop off point not far from their base. We requested for life vests but after seeing how deep the water is in the lake, it definitely wasn't needed at all. It's practically shallow throughout the lake EXCEPT for the drop off point. We know how to swim too so really, the life vests aren't necessary if you know how to swim (or stand/float in 2-3 feet depths). We made a right from the drop off point and found an opening for pathway between the bushes - LOOONG kayaking path we came across but definitely worth the view, peace, tranquility, and workout! We eventually found our way out but if you plan to have the kayaks for 3 hours max, you may not want to take the inner pathways and just enjoy the open lake otherwise try to keep a good pace throughout the inner path. Very fun experience. The next day we decided to do the zip lining (Crater Lake Ziplining) and with Ethan and Shiloh as our guides/instructors, we had tons of fun! The zip lining adventure involves learning the basics for safety purposes (which they go through with you thoroughly and even have you try it out before live action), no pressure in case you want to back out, no tolerance for anything unsafe (like unhooking your line - just don't do it!), a few great and long lines to zip through, a couple of drops to make you feel like an assassin super star in an action movie, and wonderful group people to enjoy this activity with! Makes sure you purchase the photo package towards the end to capture all of your fun moments. I do admit the prices are a bit high compared to some places I've been to, but then again the scenery wasn't quite as beautiful as the surroundings in Klamath Falls. So all in all, I'd say worth the price tag that comes with it. Highly recommended - a MUST if you plan to stop by or pass through Klamath Falls. Be sure to use Bug Spray before you go!
