If you don't realize what a treasure it is to have such a shop nearby, try googling in major cities, much larger than KC, sometime, for luggage repair. You'll come up empty.

The shop has a large selection of backpacks, luggage, and important travel goods. It's a great place to grab an outlet converter or something else you'll surely need in a trip. Bag and Baggage also carries some really high quality leather portfolios for note taking, wallets, and other goods. Besides items in stock, Bag and Baggage also does custom luggage name tags. They were able to change the names on three pieces of luggage in a pretty fast fashion. The work looks great and will definitely last. The shop was also considerate enough to put the old tags in a ziploc bag for us to potentially reuse or keep. The workers at Bag and Baggage are also super sweet. They've helped my family out so many times and done such great custom work. They were also very helpful when we forgot a bag in the store and kept it until we could pick it up.

While there, I mentioned that I had a bag that needed a new monogram tag. The sales person immediately offered to create one for me at no charge even though I did not have the bag with me. He was very knowledgeable, helpful, and patient as I asked literally 25 questions. I had not gone in expecting to buy a bag. However, I was so grateful and impressed with the service I receive that I decided to purchase one that I had been looking at online. This level of respectful, relational service is hard to find. If you are searching for a high-end bag, I strongly encourage you to check out the Tumi selection at this particular location.

They are durable, classic, easy and can pack more than you think if you do it right. I had one minor issue with my carry on, I took it to this store and they fixed it right then and there, no charge, no questions. He actually took it off an unsold bag that was last season so I didn't have to drive back in a week to get my bag. My husband just bought me a Tumi backpack for Christmas, I can tell, without using it yet, that I will adore it. Once again, it looks small but I started putting my work essentials in it and it has so much room without bulging. He had ordered it off the Tumi website and they messed up the monogram, we were going to the plaza for something else so we popped in. The guy was wonderful, he swapped it out quick, made a joke about the bad elves not knowing the right colors and was overall pleasant. They also were having a sale on my carry on style and brought the bigger version out of the back for me if I wanted it, they informed me that prices were going up within a month and this one was on sale and matched my bag. It was a win win, I needed a bigger one for one or two trips a year and they wanted to it out of the store. I recommended going here, they know what they are doing and are pleasant to work with.

Located in a very safe part of town, in a very easy to access location right off of Metcalf and…read more119th St, Kohls is there to service almost all of your clothing needs, along with other offerings that one might need for the house. I've walked through the all sections and observed the place is very clean and sterile, a much-appreciated attention to detail aspect. That said I didn't see many employees walking around so if you have questions, you'll have to be proactive and hunt them down for yourself. The floorplan is exactly like every other Kohl's so the customer should have no issues getting around. Small stuff first. The kitchen section has a few nicer items but is marked up a lot from a regular experience, sometimes by a lot. So if you want Bobby Flay's pan set, break out the plastic baby it's gonna cost ya! Next the bedroom supplies aren't marked up that much and should have something to satisfy most people. For instance they have pillows, not specialized items but a sizable list of generic ones (could be name brand but I'm not a pillow expert). The kids might be a little sour on the toy section. It's not very big. I can't speak on the womens section. Oh wait, I did have to buy some tights for running a half marathon and since it's done at the end of winter they're readily available. The only pair I could find were womans yoga pants. That's right, I ran a half marathon with 30k other people in womens yoga pants (relax I had shorts on over them). Anyways the point is they do have something for everyone. As for the mens section it's decent. The available styles are extremely generic, lacking anything trendy. It's like dating the guy or girl which dress ok but have no knowledge of what's in fashion NOW. Their sports apparel section in terms of clothing for exercise is very good, but unless you have a local team, it's for the masses. So what do I buy here? Dress pants, dress shirts, dress belts and the occasional "Kramer" shirt. But if you're debating socks, underwear, tshits and so on, you're better off choosing that big red or blue store. As for their shoes, they do have a decent collection but void of top performance or style shoes. Overall, Kohl's is very middle America in terms of financial tier, the mentality and corporate targeting. Shopping here isn't as cheap as those big box places however it's not as expensive as those NY style department stores. This particular Kohls is safe with good employees and a lot of decent, albeit dated products. Stop on buy if you're buying a little something for yourself or family and want to save a buck while not looking completely out of touch.

The shipping information CLEARLY indicated I had ordered a MARIO back pack. I took the back pack to the KOHL's store and got a refund (shipping was free because I had spent over $45). I asked the clerk if they had the MARIO back pack in stock, and she indicated that she did not see one in inventory. When I got back home, I tried to reorder the correct pack but the web site indicated that they were out of stock. In addition, the back pack was $35 which meant that I would have to add another item to get the same free shipping. I found the exact same back pack from Amazon and it was $10 cheaper so I ordered it (no shipping charge)

Especially since one of the two bags purchased was in the back and had to be brought out and taken out of the box. (It really felt great walk in, and the store not be crowded. I felt like a customer, if that makes sense. I had the chance to look around at all the great products without hurrying and enjoying my time). The associate who helped with my purchase took the time to show me the features of the bag. Which was great, I have never had anyone take the time to do that for me. She also took the time to help me to the door.(By the way, my purchase was 2 extra large rolling bags, one in a rose pattern, and the other basic black.)When my husband saw them the first word out of his mouth was DAMN that is big! I told him it would help to consolidate the shopping finds and what we brought. He said," And then some." Honestly, if you don't need to see the products in person before you buy, skip the store and shop online.
