So if you're going up the Clearview Expressway, you can see this light off the overpass, and you quickly take the 35th Ave exit because you want a freshly baked bagel at 6AM. The older white dude in there sucks. He's angry, has an attitude, rips money and credit cards out of your hands and then throws ur change into your hands. He's been like this for years. After today, I'm finally calling it quits there. Always gave them the benefit of the doubt like maybes he's in a bad mood but nah. I'm here for bagels and the dude just ruins my day. Also, they still have those stupid tables in between the counter and where you order so you have to reach over them (with my bad back which I had surgery on twice). They put these stupid tables there during Covid to help stop the spread of Covid. Tell me, how exactly are table going to stop a virus from spreading. Anyway, don't go here. Fire the dude, move the tables back to where they were in 2019 and I'll return buying my 15 bagels a week. Also told my buddies and they agree 100%. read more

I don't care what anyone else says this is the best bagel I've had in NYC. I am German and in our home bread is a big deal. I grew up on bagels. I eat bagels several times a week and I've tried all the best places and only one other place has great bagels like these and it's in Williamsburg. They are always busy and it's worth it. But the line goes fast. They have a good system going so you never wait long. In all the years I've been coming they've never made a mistake on my order and they are friendly. I do wish they'd make more cheese flagels but that's my only complaint. They also have wonderful pastries. read more

5 stars? 10 stars! Always super fresh, delicious bagels with an abundance of cream cheese flavors ( i keep it plain on a blueberry bagel ). Strong hot coffee! Almost never a long line. Open until 3pm on Sundays is amazing! The store made baked goods are fantastic! The brownies with walnuts might be my favorite; super soft and decadent. Their black and white cookies are entirely store made ( you can see the dots of vanilla bean in the frosting unlike every other black and white cookie ever ). I go here over several other bagel stores way closer to home. Can not recommend this place enough. read more

The Asiago cheese bagel had a good amount of cheese baked in, so much so it was too rich to add cream cheese so better with butter or egg etc. Their fudge brownie is world class, dark super rich and heavy chocolate flavor. So fudgie it melted when I heated it in the microwave! They also have plain and garlic spinach tofu cream cheeses which the vegetarians in my family will appreciate. read more

No membership required at Bagel Club! They've got a respectable selection of bagels and spread/salads so it took me a minute to mull over my options. It would've been helpful if the bagels were labeled, but I only get everything bagels anyway. They were all out of bialys when I visited but had a sole raisin (?!?!) one left. If you're getting a smoked fish sandwich, you'll have to pay a tiny bit extra for tomato, onion, and capers though capers ended up not being available. The base price for a nova with any cream cheese bagel sandwich is $9.50. There's also a surcharge for using a credit card--bring cash like the regulars do. The regulars also seem to order lots of coffee. My nova with garlic and cream cheese on an untoasted everything bagel was terrific and was just what I needed. The bagels were a decent size, had the right amount of chew, and were absolutely coated in everything seasoning (could use a pinch of salt) both on the top and the bottom. There was a reasonable amount of salmon in the sandwich too. The garlic and herb cream cheese was a delight: not too garlicky and there was a pronounced dill flavor. Yum! read more

Um, figured I'd give this spot another try. It's been a long time since I've been back here. When I buy bagels I almost always get my favorite thing which is... Scooped out everything bagel scallion cream cheese and lox. Cost about $10 here... So I got home and they gave a ton of cream cheese... Some people like that. I thought it was a bit over kill. I could of made a 2nd bagel sandwich using it. Honestly, I just didn't like any of it. The cream cheese tasted kind of strange. I remember their bagel tasting much better before this one taste kind of stale. Omg their lox, was not good. I usually eat this sandwich in quarters...so I open up half then divide the lox and chow down. Sadly I ate 1 quarter and was disappointed threw out the rest. Had to make myself cereal instead :( Guy helping me was nice and did the best he could. The place was pretty busy. From the last time I was here their setup inside the store changed. Maybe due to covid... I went on a Saturday or Sunday... Service was a bit slow and still there was a line leading outside. While waiting outside I noticed the health dept gave them a "B" rating. Not a good sign... On a positive note... I didn't see the old guy who used to be grumpy and try to help people lol... Guess the only reason the place is open is due to the location. Service: We ordered about 5 different bagels and the person helping us was able to remember all of it with her only asking once again for one of them. Though it took a while for them to be ready, the fact that she remembered all of it and got our orders right is great. Quality: I personally got the honey wheat with lox. The bagel was dense, but not hard. The lox cream cheese is a bit salty and didn't have salmon pieces like others I've tried, but it was still good otherwise. My bagel had a generous amount of cream cheese and it paired well with my honey wheat bagel. The only thing I wish they had was a label or a menu for the bagels. Aside from the common flavors (e.g. plain, everything, raisin, etc), there seems to be way more than that and I wasn't sure what else they were. read more

I'm getting pretty tired of this place. I think it's mainly the old guy that works there. Every time I go there my bagels are so skimpy. Practically no cream cheese. I ordered my bagels scooped and toasted but look at the photos. You can't even tell there's cream cheese in this thing. Come on. SUMMARY: Small bagel shop in Bayside that seems to have a loyal following and makes some pretty tasty bagels. Most impressive was their selection of unique cream cheeses. Parking is definitely an issue though with only a few spots in the back. Prepare to double park or drive down the side street for parking. BACKGROUND East bay (CA- SF) bagels are so ridiculously bad, we stopped eating bagels. If you've eaten real NY bagels anywhere in NY, you know what I'm saying here. We wanted to get our fix before our flight home :) BAGELS We got a few, but my fave definitely was their onion bagel. Someone in the back there knows their ingredients and made a very tasty onion bagel w/ some additions of some nice spices. We also got plain for the ride home. Wife had an everything bagel, but it was a bit difficult to differentiate the taste between it and the onion. Typically when we've had the everything bagel, the seeds, spices, etc are very distinct, but not so much here. Despite that, it was still a great bagel. We got two cream cheeses to go too: a lox and the 3 cheese with bacon. We were less impressed with the cheese/bacon cream cheese, but the lox was spot on delicious. Next time I'm gonna go double and get real lox plus lox spread. I just can't get enough of the taste :) RETURN VISIT? Yes, definitely. It's pretty close to where my wife's mother lives so it'll be a convenient walk there. We're down to go to other places, but for now this will be our go to bagel spot. read more

This used to be my favorite bagel club. Best flavored coffee and tofu spreads. Everything was wonderful. I have recommended this to countless people all over the city, since it is right off the highway and there is a small parking lot in the back (if you can't easily get street parking). But, sadly, I have not been in about 2 years. They have a B rating from the NYC DOH. Why, oh, why? I really hope they work to get that corrected. Whenever I am in the area and decide to drive by, I look to see if it changed to an A....but it has not. I really hope the get re-inspected and they can earn that A rating. When I lived in the city, it was a lot easier to find solid bagel spots that offered it as an option but now that I'm working in Queens, it's much less common. Needless to say, this place is my savior. Though their regular bagels are on the smaller side (compared to the massive ones in the city), their assortment is large and they have flagels! The multigrain one is absolutely delicious! Prices are great, as is the service, and their iced coffee flavor selection is HUGE and funky! I am so happy I found out about this place for I will now be a regular...until further notice. read more

The best bagels ever! Im obsessed with their garlic bagel and veggie cream cheese. I highly recommend this place if your looking for fresh delicious amazinggggg bagels I have had bagels all over in the area and honestly Bagel club beats them all especially tops utopias bagels. With your fresh bagels, both traditional and imaginative cream cheese fillings, and quick service, I'm all too happy to wake up just a little earlier in the morning and drive twenty minutes out of the way just to show up at your door. I'm constantly forcing myself to get out of bed just a little earlier to see if I can recreate that magic morning when I was lucky enough to get a sesame bagel that was raw dough only moments before. You're one of the only bagel shops around that understand that not everyone loves dairy cream cheese, and you provide one of the tastiest tofu cream cheeses I've ever had. But I love introducing you to all of my non-vegan friends, who gasp delightedly when they see some of your crazy new concoctions. Jalapeño bagels? Bacon cheddar cream cheese? Bagel hot dogs? You're such a hoot, and I love you for that. I'm such a big fan that I don't even mind the crowds and the scarce metered spots that belabor my attempts to get my fill. Stumble upon this place, just randomly checked for a breakfast place and this came up since I was nearby. Luckily they were open since I couldn't find many places open so early, it was around 6:40AM. They opened at 6AM. Found parking right in front, once inside it started getting busy, the establishment is big has a couple of chairs to sit if you did want to sit there and eat, mostly everyone looked like they just picking up. They have a wide selection of cream cheese, bagels, muffins, chips, cold drinks & hot drinks. Plus many more ! The service was fast and friendly, the only downside I'd say it's they ONLY take cash, luckily I actually had some change because I usually don't. Once upon a time there was a Bagel store named BAGEL CLUB who made the most delicious bagels and bialys you ever tasted by a baker named Guillermo (Billy) his baked goods were to die for, his carrot cake and muffins would melt in your mouth, his chocolate fudge brownies were like nothing you ever tasted. Everything he baked was delicious, then one day Billy left, I don't know why but since that time who ever is baking at the 35th Ave shop need to go to school and learn how to bake because everything coming out of that store now is terrible ! My husband and I came to Bagel Club this morning after it being recommended by a few websites. We always pass by this establishment, but we never really had a reason to step foot inside. Well, today was that day. There was a long line (13 people ahead of me), but it moved efficiently. There are about 4-5 workers in the front taking orders. Don't expect grand customer service here as it is a quick take out place. They are known for their bagels (hence, their restaurant name) and their variety of cream cheese. Here are the combinations we ordered: Jalapeno bagel with spinach and garlic cream cheese French toast bagel with regular cream cheese Sesame flat bagel with scallion cream cheese All of the bagels were tasty, especially the jalapeno bagel with spinach and garlic. One of the best combinations my husband and I have ever had! They are all priced reasonably. Take a chance and try them out yourself! What happened to this place?? The bagels used to be delicious, NOT anymore! And they shrunk in size! Half of the expensive spreads are dry on top and the server just dishes them out dry. The spicy tuna was not spicy, the egg salad was runny and there was a LONG BLOND HAIR in it!!! I also got 3 strudels, thinking it's a bakery, so they should be fresh and tasty. NOT! They are absolutely tasteless, not even sweet and NOT strudels at all! What a waste of money! Very sad! read more
