I hadn't been to The Bagel Loft in some time, so I decided to try it again. (3/22/19) I was immediately impressed with the large menu on the wall. I ordered chicken salad on an everything bagel and a skirt steak panini. The chicken salad was good, but completely underseasoned. The bagel was ok, but airy & also underseasoned. The panini was a disappointment. The steak was tough. The sandwich was totally underseasoned & They didn't use panini bread. They used some kind of white bread like you would get on a club sandwich. After adding a generous amount of salt, it was edible. Maybe they should stick to what they know & not try to make things they aren't good at. read more

I bought a Groupon for a dozel bagels and a half pound of cream cheese. I showed up on a Monday morning. Although there were plenty of bagels for sale, the gentleman behind the counter told me he couldn't accept the voucher because too many people had already redeemed theirs for the day. He suggested I come back the next day. When I told him I drove from New Rochelle for the bagels, he told me he could only offer me plain and whole wheat bagels. When I reminded him there were plenty of bagels for sale, he told me he needed those for the regular customers, not the Groupon redeemers. The whole point of offering a Groupon deal is to attract new customers. Rest assured, I will never return. When I called Groupon customer service to explain my experience at The Bagel Loft, the rep was surprised and disappointed. She gladly issued me a refund, and said the man's attitude was completely unacceptable. Their bagels might be good, but this place needs to work on their customer service skills. read more

I really want to love this place. It's local and the bagels are great (and warm sometimes). The problem is that when you order something more than just plain bagels, you may not get what you ordered. This has happened many times. What I get isn't bad but just not what I ordered. The manager always looks angry and isn't friendly. This is a small town.. lighten up! read more

On two occasions I ordered the same sandwich: turkey, bacon, lettuce, tomato... On both occasions I opened the wrapping to find a sandwich made of... turkey bacon. Cold turkey bacon. If there's one thing that really annoys me is screwed up take out orders. Because I don't find out until after I get home. I'm hungry, have a million other things to do, which is why I ordered takout to begin with. Then the screw up, which just... sucks. Who wants to truck all the way back so they can fix THEIR mistake? I felt I had to write a review bc I've read way too many bad ones and this has easily become my go to spot. I order the avocado salad w grilled chicken almost every time I come, def the best salad hands down. I've brought two of my friends along and they love it as much as I do. Also, try the coconut iced coffee! This place does get packed on the weekends but that shouldn't reflect the loft negatively, it gets packed clearly bc the place is awesome and people go nuts for the bagels. Go to this bagel place when I can't find the time to make the trip to Hilridge Bagels in Hartsdale next to TJMax. Service is OK. Ordered plain bagel toasted with butter. Was not very toasted just warm and butter seemed almost homemade was very creamy but no flavor at all. Ordered bagel with vegetable cream cheese. Was better but bagels are very very doughy more dough then cream cheese but still like the way the bagels and cream cheese is at Hartsdale. I like there homemade orange juice alot and little things they have even there specials. Sandwiches seem like a good variety of ingredients. Overall OK not anything spectacular always pretty busy when I go in there. read more

Nice, clean place to go to for breakfast and lunch. They have a pretty large selection of cream cheeses and bagels. The food here is always good, but they could be more efficient at ordering and paying. Despite needing some improvements, I still enjoy coming here on the weekends. The atmosphere inside is relaxing for a Saturday or Sunday morning. read more

This is my local bagel shop. I'm not sure why I see so many comments about service , I've always had the employees be very nice to me and so far have never messed up my order. The only thing I'd say they're heavy handed on the cream cheese but I can look past that. I usually get a bacon, egg and cheese and I love them there. Just ordered 2 BLT's on white toast and 1 tuna melt by phone for pick up. Only 1 BLT in the bag on stale untoasted white bread, cold bacon (having not been warmed up), and soggy tomatoe. Called to complain and the female on the phone said that's how people like them, on untoasted bread. I'm done with this place. I won't feel sorry for them when they go out of business. read more

Would give this place negative stars. Just left there so mad. Ordered two bagels toasted with cream cheese. They gave them to us not toasted. When we asked to toast them the girl said sure no problem . Took them and MICROWAVED them, so they were soggy with microwaved cream cheese. We left and they still charged us! Unacceptable. read more

Rude and indifferent customer service! Be prepared to hav e cash on hand as they illegally impose a minimum on debit cards which is legal for credit cards but not debit ... I do not have to patronize this establishment so that I can be treated rudely and with illegal debit card rules !!!! They have a huge selection to choose from! The guys behind the counter are extremely friendly and patient as I couldn't choose what I wanted. The breakfast selection itself is a bit limited, but the guy behind the counter was very accommodating and allowed me to put whatever I wanted in my breakfast wrap! I got a sausage, egg whites, cheddar cheese, & home fries spinach wrap with hot sauce and salsa. I loved that they put the perfect amount of all ingredients in the wrap. I lived in NY for over 30 years and moved to FL over a year ago, I use to frequently get bagels from this store and they are the best bagels I have ever have. I lived near a famous hand rolled bagel store which were supposed to be the best in town and they did NOT compare to the bagels from the The Bagel Loft. Handsdown the best overall taste is on point the freshness is unbelievable, the texture is perfect and the place is extremely clean which meets my very high standards. The staff is extremely friendly and knowledgeable as well as responsive to customer's needs. I never had a negative interaction with any of the staff; Janessa is a sweetheart and very pleasant to the customers. I now buy a couple of dozens any time I visit NY and bring them to FL as gifts to family and friends. read more

All this place does is screw up orders, even the simplest of ones. For the past 2 weeks all they do is screw up orders and then have an attitude when you call up and tell them. Today I ordered a beet salad and upon arrival they only put 2 small slices of beats in a large salad. When I called, they said "well you should have asked for more when you ordered and hung up." It's a beat salad, why should I order more beets with a beet salad? One of my co-workers ordered a bacon, egg, and cheese with hash browns on the side, and they put the hash brown on the sand which itself. Not only that, they forgot to even bring the other two orders I placed for my co-workers. If I could give a 0 star rating I would. Never ordering from this place again. read more

We used to come to this place all the time. We loved them! We were literally there every weekend. The owner was always around and the deli seemed to run smoothly. As they got busier, things started to slip. We noticed that the owner wasn't around as much, and the service was suffering. Very slow, and several times we waited and waited and waited only to go to the counter to check on our food and find out that is was already prepared and just sitting there getting cold. Bagels are good that's why the 1 star but the food is horrible! their breakfast sandwiches are flimsy, small, hard bread and do they use bacon bits? the sandwich shop down the block Villarina's although more expensive always uses 2 eggs and their sandwiches are big and tasty. The coffee also is a 10oz cup for $1.75 and then they charge tax! So its like $1.88 for mediocre coffee. Why would they allow another food place in Crestwood is beyond me. Stick to Villarina's for sandwiches and Martines for pastries and you'll be happy you did. read more

We loved this place when it first opened as we are locals and needed a little breakfast spot. Over the last 2 years we've frequented less as it was dirty, or the woman at the counter was rude. We went today, at our daughters request. We were given rancid almond milk for our coffees, with no offer for reimbursement or replacement. When we told the rude counter clerk she said, "no it's not expired," and put t back in their fridge!! Almond milk lasts forever UNOPENED, but once opened, only 7 days. We noticed In our booth, a large red ant crawling up the wall, and then 2 more crawling on the very bench we were sitting on. This place is disgusting and the service is worse. read more

I am a busy mother of three children and I sometimes don't want to make three meals for the kids a day. The one place that I can rely on is the bagel loft. They have deliver to me, we go in and order and eat, and every single time they make us consistently great food. In addition to the consistently great food (which is hard to come by), the employees treat me and my family like their own family. They are all amazing. They even tolerate my two year old who try's to run behind the counter and make his own food. This is truly a neighborhood find. read more

This was THE WORST deli I've ever been to. Everything about my first and last experience was absolutely atrocious. I've worked 10+ years in the hospitality industry and actually don't agree with this whole yelp thing. But this experience got me. I ordered a bacon egg and cheese on a roll with ketchup and hot sauce, along with 3 other sandwiches. It took 25+ min to get the food ready. I went to eat my sandwich and there was no ketchup and hot sauce on it so I sent it back. The guy working there brought it back with the ketchup a d hot sauce on it and this time I noticed there was no cheese on it. He proceeded to take it back to the kitchen and came back out with the sandwich and began to tell me there was cheese on it it was just melted. Here the catch....THERE WAS NO FUCKING CHEESE ON IT!!!! Guy stood there and lied directly to my face about the sandwich not having cheese. I wish I took a picture but I threw the sandwich out on my way out of the door! Absolutely disgusted with the service and the staff. Here is a fucking TIP for you...even if I was wrong and "there was cheese" on the sandwich...humor me a little bit and put another piece of fucking cheese on there. Oh and don't touch my sandwich with your grubby fucking fingers that god knows when the last time you washed them especially because I saw you using a broom and dust pan cleaning and I didn't see you wash your hand afterwards.
