Highridge Bagels has the best bagels in all of Westchester County. Walking in to the store, the smells remind me of my grandfather's bakery from my childhood. The bagels, appetizing fish, cream cheeses, salads, etc... are amazing. The owner and staff are very friendly and accommodating of requests. I wish they were closer to us, but they are well worth the trip from Peekskill to Yonkers. read more

Ooh I do love me a fresh, plump bagel. The type made on site and not to doughy or overhyped. Got me a BEC on an everything bagel. It was 8.75 due to egg pricing but it was good. The bagel was crisp and chewy in a good way. Mom and Pop opted for an everything toasted with veggies cream cheese, and a buttered Asiago which smelled absolutely amazing. Service was quick and busy. Customers entered as regulars and once in a blue types. Lots of Italians in the area and one of the managers or owners seemed to be as well. It was clean and spacey with sit down room. My bf and I were really in the mood for bagels so we stopped at the other High Ridge location. It was later on a Sunday afternoon so they didn't have many bagels to choose from (understandable) but I was craving a BEC. They close their kitchen early so only bagel with spreads were available. Fine with me because I love a toasted bagel with cream cheese! We ordered bagels with scallion and veggie. It hit the spot! The bagel was pretty average, I've definitely had better in the area that aren't as pricey. I could tell the business was making efforts to comply with social distancing, however multiple people were being served at once and we kept being called to the front where others were waiting/paying/picking up their food. I am very pleased w this bagel shop. Fresh, delicious bagels w an assortment of homemade cream cheeses. We love them all but my favorite is the lox and scallion. I've been coming here all my life, and I feel like when you have a childhood bagel place, any bagel that comes after it needs to meet that certain standard or it's trash. That's been the case for me. From breakfast after church, to dates with your gf, to the go to after a hangover/all nighter. I love this place! I work next door on Saturday's and order the same thing! Bacon, egg and cheese in a toasted garlic bagel with butter. The line can be out the door sometimes but it's sooooo worth the wait! These bagels are beyond delicious. They also have a large selection of spreads, they cater and are super friendly! I'm proud to say that one of the ladies actually knows my order by heart and if she sees me on the line she starts my order before I even get to the front! I get the cinnamon raisin at Highridge because their texture is better for that one. This has very fresh cream cheeses and other baked goods if you like that. Service brusque and speedy. If there are hot bagels they go in the back for one if they think some just came out. Get them hot if you can. Good amount of cream cheese. Flavored coffee if you like that. Very nice people. Paired with a chocolate brownie: it exceeded my expectations. It was thick, cakey, and the chocolate was velvety and smooth. The star is for the bagel. That's it. The bagel was awesome. The customer service however, is....nonexistant. I went in on a Wednesday morning and ordered an iced coffee + a bagel with cream cheese. When I walked in, I said "good morning :)". the cashier gave me a look of "ugh. What do you want? ._." and said "what can I get for you? -__-" Ok cool. Whatever. I asked the cashier for a plain bagel with light cream cheese. What does she do? Takes half the package of cream cheese and plops it on my bagel. LOL. Wow. So then I pay for it and say "thanks have a nice day! :)" Her: ._. Wow. It literally wouldn't kill any of you (there were 3 workers in the store) to at the very least say "good morning." "Thank you" or "you're welcome." Oh, I almost forgot to mention the iced coffee.....it had the taste of....liquid diabetes. They need basic training in customer service. I'll be so kind to start them off... Lesson 1: DO NOT MAKE THE CUSTOMER FEEL LIKE THEY MADE A MISTAKE BY SIMPLY WALKING INTO YOUR PLACE OF BUSINESS.
