Lenny's Bagels has officially entered the rotation as this was my third trip in less than two months. The assorted bagels are freshly made and have a soft yet chewy texture. They have the usually varieties but "my ex", (jalapeño and cheddar), "my 2 sons" (poppy seeds and sunflower) or "bad boy" (egg, poppy and onion) are three flavor to try if you are feeling adventurous. The menu has lots of options, breakfast sandwiches, breakfast bowls, panninis, salads and wraps. Whatever you choose to eat, you won't be disappointed. I'm a wrap girlie. Grilled chicken w/ pepper jack cheese ( I swapped out the cheddar), sautéed onions, peppers and avocado is my go-to. The heat from the grilled chicken and sautéed veggies, combined with the avocado to make the wrap creamy and flavorful, no mayo necessary. I ordered a cold coconut latte w/oat milk which paired well with my wrap. The staff is always patient and accommodating. Stop in for a visit if you are in or near the Pelham Manor area. read more

I've never had a positive experience at Lenny's and we've given them a fair share of tries. Today we ordered three very basic sandwiches. Note the tuna salad sandwich on a roll STARTS at $9, adding lettuce is another $.75, adding cheese is $1 and adding tomato is $.75. You're looking at a $12+ tax tuna salad sandwich. The biggest issue is the tuna salad is so unbelievably DRY. They must use basically no mayo, no celery and no seasoning. The lettuce as you can see is hilariously poorly cut and portioned. Black iced coffee is $4, plus $1.50 if you want a splash of milk. I don't know where they get off charging prices like this. Service is also incredibly slow and the servers tend to have an attitude. Go to Remi's down the road, WAY better, significantly cheaper and friendlier staff. read more

I'm actually not the biggest fan of their bagels, but I've had a lot of great burritos and paninis here. My favorite are the burritos, which are always filling and not too greasy. There are always some people eating here. I appreciate the light, with windows on two sides. It has a deli feel. Orders are done quickly if you're picking up, but I don't recommend using any food delivery services. It's just always uncertain when they'll deliver, especially at busier times. read more

They repeatedly miss items or put wrong items in your delivery orders. Ive never complained until today. I normally request credit as things happen. Today multiple items were missing. When calling, the so called manager was rude, didnt want to hear what was said for improvement. Even after we indicated we like their food, perhaps they can improve. Instead he gave us attitude and said "youre getting credit correct?" Who the hell do you think you are? You should be grateful to have customers in this economy. I haven't been here in years! I wish I would have read the reviews before coming. This place used to be the place to go many years ago. Today I ordered a turkey bacon egg and cheese on an everything bagel...it was gross! The whole sandwich was wet. The eggs had no flavor, the bacon was limp and wet like it was boiled instead of pan fried. I won't be coming back. The other dings for here are they literally will walk around with your food on a spatula walking between everyone running around behind the counter. There is only one point of sale machine, so you have to wait to check out and get in where you fit in when your order is ready. Just some advice: have one person taking orders and collecting payment before the order is made, people having to jump in front of those waiting in line is rude. I had to pass my card pass a customer ordering his food. Also the place is dirty. When you walk in there are coffee stains on the walls and dirt and grime along the floor--I should have walked out at this point, but hey it's NY! Bagels aren't that bad, BUT the owner is so CHEAP! They don't have sleeves for hot coffee, but when you ask for a 2nd cup because the coffee is burning your hands. the response is, "we are only allowed to give you napkins, because a 2nd cup is too expensive." I have to say I'm just not impressed. I really wanted to love this place but, it just isn't going to happen. Only go here if you're looking for a bagel, anything else and you're out of luck. I love their jalapeño cheddar bagel with scallion cream cheese, that's my go to. But, after having one of the worst panini and bacon egg and cheeses of my life I just can't justify going back here. The grilled chicken and cheddar panini is what I got... the chicken was tough and not seasoned. The bacon was also gross and there was barely any ranch. All the workers seem like they don't want to be there and are busy doing nothing. My boyfriend got the chorizo, hash brown, and cheddar burrito...he hated it, completely flavorless. I do have to say, the bagels are great. That is about all I have in terms of pleasantries. This place is clearly being run on the absolute cheap, with an unclean facility, awfully uninterested (likely underpaid!) staff, and terribly high prices for many things. My girlfriend made a run for coffee one morning and decided to surprise me with some smoked salmon, and ended up being charged sixteen dollars for THREE SMALL PIECES. Yes they were tasty, but what a ridiculous cost. Sandwiches are fine, and coffee is good, but in the same vein, very overpriced. This place is a good spot if you're looking for fresh bagels and are tired of mediocre bagel sandwiches. The bagels are warm with just the right amount of crispiness & soft on the inside. I ordered "The Westchester Sandwich" on a toasted sesame seed bagel. It is a sandwich consisting of chicken cutlets, melted cheddar, bacon and BBQ sauce. I was skeptical at first but the bbq sauce was light and added a slight Smokey flavor combination to the bacon and cutlet. I was also in the mood to be a little adventurous and try one of their more innovate bagel choices since I've only had regular bagels like sesame or everything bagels. I used to go to Lenny's in both Pehlam and Rye Brook every week. Today, I experienced the most unpleasant and racists experience . I ordered online and apparently the first time it didn't go through. I order again and then they wouldn't get the order done. My poor mother was just being yelled at by the staff ( a woman ) . I called to figured out the issue and instead of helping me get the order they just said maybe you ordered somewhere else. My mom waiting now for an hour later just for 2 bagels . I was so frustrated with their hostility and I called again. The woman just yelled at me , said she had no time for me and hung up the phone. I can imagine how the customers were feeling with all of this yelling and hostility. I do not think people understand racism unless they express it. I say racism because this is now the 3rd time, my Mexican parents are talked in a hostile matter, speaking to them in such a hateful and uneducated matter.As arriving home my mother said she couldn't believe how someone could have a job with that hostility and unprofessional manner. My mother mentioned how even she was so shaken by this woman and afraid she would just target her if she asked her not to speak to her that way. I had many dealings with this younger gentleman who would continuously patronize me. In addition, I was once bombarded with questions as to why I didn't order more food from them, and quite disrespectfully was told to purchase more items. Today I had valid questions in regard to the ingredients they use to make their breads because of my sister's allergies and instead of showing concern for messing up her order he just kept repeating to check his website and didn't let me get a word in by saying "babe" and "yea" to get me off the phone. Who would have expected a really good bagel place in Westchester? And yet this place consistently impresses. The bagels are great: bready, just chewy enough but not so much that it will hurt your jaw, crisp on the outside. Toothsome, would be a good way to describe them. The cream cheese is always fresh and tasty, with the scallion cream cheese having just the right amount of scallion. I do wish that they'd take orders over the phone (it's in person and internet only), and they really should have an option to add lox to your bagel (rather than having to scroll all the way down to the sandwiches section for a "nova and cream cheese sandwich" that happens to come on a bagel), but these are pretty minor inconveniences.
