My doctor recommended Bagel Master since he used to live in the area. I live closer to Bagel Boss but I'll be stopping by Bagel Master more often. They have better seasoning and their bagels have a crunchy texture. I also like that they have adequate indoor seating so you can enjoy your bagel on site. My husband and I ordered their Whole Wheat Everything and Egg Everything bagels and they did not disappoint. I saw that they offer a Russian Pumpernickel bagel so I'll get that next time to see if it's any different from the traditional Pumpernickel.

While spending the weekend in LI, we tried two bagel spots in the area - Bagel Master and Village Bagel. At both places, I ordered a sesame bagel with lox, red onion, scallion cream cheese and cucumber. I found Bagel Master's bagel to be too hard, flat, and chewy for my taste. I much preferred the bagel from Village which was softer and fuller. However, the lox at Bagel Master was out of this world! Without the lox, this would be a two-star review, maybe one-star. A Village sesame bagel with Bagel Master lox would truly be the perfect sandwich. The sandwich came with a little side of macaroni salad which was way too sweet for me. I gave it to my wife and she couldn't eat it either. Blechhh. I wish I was given a choice of sides. Like other reviews have mentioned, I found Bagel Master's ordering system to be confusing. I thought I was in line but apparently I wasn't, and then when my order was finally taken, I wasn't told when or where to pay. So I stood off to the side, waited about 10 minutes before checking on my food near the window and they said it was ready and I would have to enter the line again to pay at the register up front. I also didn't find the service to be friendly in the least. The guy with the Russian-sounding accent was jerky and unwelcoming. Edge - Village.

What kind of bagel is this?

Extremely poor experience I was in line with a woman and her daughter who were extremely annoying asking if they had diet bagels and when she was told no she goes make it extra extra extra extra scooped repeated it after the order was done not even with a please or thank you so rude to the employee and then I had to go pick my bagel up from the other side of the counter when I had more food to pay for than a woman with a TooGoodToGo order literally rushed in front of me 2nd customer I was in line before her she was the last person there so that was my experience with that called in a Specific order which was a Everything flagel with chicken salad cheddar cheese lettuce Red not white onion(which I got a mix of) & tomato specifically red onions I asked for they give me chunks of tomato with a burned everything bagel which was disgusting because I ordered a everything Falgel which was extra $$ Won't be coming here again as I had ordered almost $40 extra worth of extra food for the family do better this was an awful experience after coming here for soooooo many years such a waste of time and now charge me extra as well here's the receipt Besides the grab and go containers of tuna salad egg salad and scallion cream cheese a ginger ale and tropicana orange juice I had bought Very disappointed. I'll stick with bagel boss or brendels of Syosset from now on Also would like to know why I was charged two separate charges on the receipt if you look at it very strange would like to know what that no tax $2.25 charge is? Not tax as you can see in the third photo it showing different charges for things I haven't even asked for or added on besides what I said bunch of thieves!

French workshop desserts taste the same to me, as if they all have the same base: the cookies, the tarts, muffins etc... but it's a good place to sit, enjoy a tea with something to munch on. The lemon tart was quiet nice. It was a good balance of tart, sour and sweet. I like the marshmallow fluff that was toasted on top of it. The raspberry madeline was a sweet butter cookie, crunchy on the edges with some parts being soft. It was okay. We also got tea.

The service was very slow because there were only two associates making drinks for a huge line of customers. They definitely need more people working inside during peak times. Managers, please add extra staff! The poor gentleman making the coffee was struggling, though he did politely apologize for the delay. I reassured him that it wasn't his fault; having worked in coffee shops during the morning rush myself, I could tell they were severely understaffed. I really hope management realizes how much this impacts the business Saturdays and Sundays should always be fully staffed!

No idea why they call it "Stellina Bakery" here (guessing that was the old name, it's BiancoLatte…read morenow) - much less why the reviews are middling. But this is one of the best coffee spots I've been to in a _long_ while anywhere near NYC. Dropped by on a whim for a quick coffee while visiting friends not far from Syosset - and grabbed a (large) cornetto with pistacchio cream along with it. The staff are super kind and attentive - coffee was made fast, and brought directly to our table without us even asking. Ccappuccino was great, zero complaints. The cornetto was delicious - flaky, buttery pastry and excellent cream (not too sweet, meaning not overloaded with sugar). And the entire place is full of options of cakes, cornettos, cannoli and other delicacies to try. They also have lots of savory sandwiches to sample, we just weren't able to grab any as we were heading to a lunch elsewhere - otherwise we'd have definitely tried one, after that excellent breakfast. They even threw in a free cookie with sprinkles, because it was a bit broken apart and we were clearly admiring it / commenting on how tasty it looked. Place is clean, friendly, with plenty of room to sit down and relax - and even do some reading or work remotely (saw at least one guy typing away on his laptop). Basically a Starbucks but with serious upgrades in terms of quality of food, and of the decor. Will definitely see if there's any similar spots closer to where we live.

I found some recommended bakeries that would have taken me over an hour drive (/r LongIsland), but i decided to give BNB Plainview a shot. I called and asked about the dairy-free selection and they were incredibly helpful. Encouraged, I swung by during my lunch break and was very impressed with their dairy-free selection. Didn't realize that their entire menu was gluten free and tree-nut free (I have n=1 friend who would have appreciated this). I also liked that they separated the vegan and non-vegan items (we were fine with eggs so went non-vegan). The same person I spoke with on the phone greeted me and I went with her recommendation of the non-vegan chocolate mousse cake. While waiting, I had a gluten-free multigrain bagel (toasted) with cream cheese. It was really good! I was pretty shocked because I expected it to taste like cardboard to be honest. Now the mousse cake. I held my breath as the birthday girl ate the first bite. She loved it! Guess what. I loved it too! Well if I ever need a nut free, gluten free, or vegan baked good, I can take a short drive to Plainview for BNB. I may also return for a bagel.
