This is my local bagel place and I try to patronize them as often as I can but I am done!!! Walked in today at 12:45. There was nobody in there. I placed my order (B.E.C. On a roll with salt and pepper) sounds simple right? There were FOUR girls behind the counter. One of them took my order and rang me up. Then she walked away. The girl from the kitchen came out with my sandwich and placed it on the counter while ALL the other girls were on the other side laughing and talking. I finally had to ask one of them if that was my egg sandwich sitting there and one of them throws it in a bag. I get home and the sandwich is wrong (no cheese and they put ketchup on it) Never again!!! I paid $9.32 for an egg sandwich and tipped them $2 Unbelievable. Customer Service at this place is something to be desired. They may say that they are "kind and respectful" by oh, so not true. They got my order wrong and I noticed it 1/2 way to my office. This is a really great, clearly family-owned bagel cafe that deserves great praises, but unfortunately, some minor critiques as well. My sesame bagel flat came perfectly toasted and buttered. No complaints. My husband asked for just egg and cheese on an everything. He got a *bacon egg and cheese. This might not be huge deal for most people, but for vegetarians like us, wasted bacon is a sin. Even though his sandwich was wrong, he said the bagel was still really good. My husband also got a coffee with milk and sugar and there was SO much sugar. I'm giving 4 stars because this cafe truly has potential. It's has a real nice location inside a plaza with options. Lots of parking but the area is busy so your going to have to look. They do offer outdoor seating under some shade besides sitting inside for breakfast or even lunch. Inside they have a large selection of breakfast items you would find at a bagel shop. There are long lines and I would t let that scare you off because they move pretty quick. So I'm going to come back and see how they are second time around. Why.? Because there busy and probably understaff the tables were left dirty so when I went you have a chance of cleaning up your own table. They have a good turn around so be careful because the coffee is extremely hot so let it cool down a bit without the lid. Lastly. I ordered a raisin bagel with cream cheese. From the photo I think you can see one raisin and two slices of bacon. I'm surprised they put that together for me because made me feel like I should have ordered something else or gone somewhere else. But they do have local long term clients who they seem very familiar with so let's see what happens next time. read more

This place is well located in the South Gate Shopping Center. There is an abundance of parking in the private parking lot. Even though you might have to walk a little far to get to your car when's busy at the Center. The Bagel Cafe is located right in the corner on the south east corner of the Shopping Center. The Shopping Center is very nice and well lit so you'll fell safe at night. Outside is nice and clean with the awning standing out in the right ways. The inside isn't as good the seats and tables are way past their functioning days. It must be all of the high school kids beating them up in their lunch periods. They don't need to keep buying new chairs/tables but at least refinish them and put new fabrics on them. The servers are super nice but the food takes awhile. When it does get to you in a very courteous and friendly manor it's not the best. Grab a bagel if your in the area and don't feel like driving around. So I ended up here since I was at the lab next door at 6:30am. I don't know the guys name behind the counter, but he was so nice and polite it was unreal. At 6:30am after being at a lab for blood work, it was refreshing to come into this place. Its also very clean and the food tasted delish, my 6year old said her bagel was the best she has ever had (she eats bagels like everyday) my egg sandwich was just as good. I even told the guy it was a pleasure dealing with him, and how nice he was. When we left my 16yr old said even though it's out of our neighborhood she would prefer coming here.
