I do a "3-rule" which means if I have 3-BAD experiences in a row, I'm done! I've probably extended every extension I could here but I'm now officially done. Something changed, and dramatically! SLOW, SLOW and SLOWER... and that's when there's no other customers. I always go in off peak hours, always. Making things worse is the fact my last 2-orders weren't even correct! It's not Tal, but Bagelman is not too shoddy! Bagels here are softer and more airy than what you might find at a top notch NYC bagelry, the crust not as chewy and well developed -- but I don't think we've found better in the New Milford area. Our family loves the saltier-than-average seasoning on the everything bagels, the fresh cream cheese, grilled cheese and breakfast sandwiches. I love the mellow, not-overly-acidic iced coffee. The staff are almost all high school-aged kids and most are very sweet and on top of their game. A few times, we've encountered kids who only very reluctantly came to the register to take orders, and who clearly did not want to be there -- but that's not the norm. Eating outside at one of the outdoor patio tables with our pup on a sunny autumn day is truly one of life's simple pleasures. read more

This Mother's Day I decided to avoid the busy overcrowded restaurants for brunch and decided to have it catered. I was happy to see on the menu choices for pre planned meals to choose from I had 11 guests and ordered the #3 choice which included scrambled eggs, sausages, bacon, bagels and rolls. I added pastries , home fries and a box of coffee. I was pleasantly surprised they provided 3 different types of cream cheeses , jelly and butter. Also proved cream and milk with sugar, plenty of plates, napkin's, coffee cups, utensils to eat with and to serve. The home fries were seasoned and flavorful to perfection! Everything I ordered was fresh, delicious and plentiful for all of us to have doubles, which we did and still had leftovers. The service was excellent! When I arrived, they immediately acknowledged us and accommodated me with additional items that I decided last minute even with a line of people waiting to order The person that prepped the meal, who I think was the owner/manager greeted us and helped carry everything to my car Overall a great experience and super pleased with the food. Just ordered a late lunch Rueben on rye with onion rings. Have gotten breakfast bagels there several times and haven't been disappointed. I wasn't disappointed with this lunch either. Pastrami was very flavorful, with perfect amount of sauerkraut, and thousand island dressing. Was also very pleased that the onion rings are battered and not breaded. First time here at this location. I know it changed from bagel Barn to this. Idiots didn't listen when I said "no peppers or onions." And it isn't like they place them on top so I could pick them off. They're chopped up and mixed in. Learn to listen carefully. It's a shame- the people seem nice. They Just seem stupid. He went out of the way to ensure that we had our order Thanksgiving morning even though there was a delivery mix-up from Seamless.
