I'm absolutely disgusted. I stopped in for lunch and ordered a chicken cutlet sandwich. We decided to eat in and sat down at the table that they had just cleaned. It was left wet so I dried it off with napkins. I was disgusted to find the napkin was black after drying the table! Gross! While waiting for my sandwich, I saw the place was filthy. The chicken cutlet was nasty and reminded of a public school lunch, except mine cost $5 and change, and I'm pretty sure the school lunch was better. I decided to leave after feeling gross so I threw out my garbage. I'm pretty sure that the outside of the garbage can was dirtier than the inside. Food: not good. Service: Meh... could have been better, could have been worse. Cleanliness: Absolutely positively disgusting. Disgusting. Sorry guys, but I won't be back. A decent deli in New Milford. One of the highlights is the friendly staff, while the food is not as great. It seems at lunch that sometimes the chicken cutlets are thrown in a microwave for 20 seconds and then thrown on the grinder. The complaints seem to be about the chicken cutlet, which I've never had, but then again who gets the chicken cutlet at a deli? Anyways, you can't beat the price, the food is always EXCELLENT (ask for a sandwich and you will get it with a MOUND of meat), and the service is always good, despite the fact that the minimal staff is always swamped with orders. Seriously spend 8 bucks and you will be sickeningly full. Everyone I've recommended this place to loves it. Note: When the place first opened it was run by a man named "Jo-Jo", who no longer owns the place or works there. If your experience was from this time (around 2002-2004) the prices and portions back then were out of control. He used to sell a 4-egg football sized bacon egg and cheese (with like half a pound of bacon) for $1.50. This is no longer the case, but how could anyone keep that practice up and call themselves a business? Highlight: breakfast sandwich. Cheapest one in town, and still the best one in town by a large margin. Hidden treats: The brownies. I have no idea how they keep them moist all day, but somehow they do. Dirt cheap, and with chocolate chips as a hidden surprise. Drawbacks: Are there any? They have quantity, quality, AND price (which for all you non-business majors is a rare perfect three-for-three). I guess it'd be nice if they were open on Sundays? It's a stretch for me to find any negatives. read more

My wife and I stopped here for lunch while passing through the area. They have daily special sandwiches and store-made soup. Friday's soup was New England Clam Chowder and it was as good as it gets. The special sandwich was the Drunken hero, with turkey, cheddar, sauerkraut, pickles and horseradish mustard on grilled sourdough. I try to go here for lunch often, whenever I have time- the food is quick and always delicious. The staff is very nice and friendly. I wish I could come in time for their breakfast sandwiches- I'm a big fan of breakfast sandwiches but their lunch sandwiches and salads are always great! Always consistent. read more
