Love this small shop! The staff is friendly, they make egg-cellent egg salad(salt and pepper upon request) and the coffee is tasty as well!

I think I got a total of 5 bagels at this place during my 4 day stay in cedarhurst. These bagels were so delicious and I loved both the veggie and the scallion cream cheese. The man, maybe the owner, who works there was really really kind but there was one woman working that was rude. I'll be back for more bagels when I return to cedarhurst!!! read more

We try to return to the area for the bagels from the store. They are made fresh daily. The store is clean Bagels, like many other things is a matter of taste. So I'm a writer, and I'm always looking for a place to sit and write with a decent cuppa coffee. Moved from New York City to the area, which means my array of choices narrowed considerably. Here's my observation, coming from Manhattan. Price gouging. A small peppermint mocha was nearly 7 dollars. Literally just a peppermint mocha with oat milk. This is more expensive than the ritziest cafés in Manhattan. I suspect that Park Brothers know they are one of only two gigs in town (the other is Jernabi's, and they close ridiculously early), so they know that they can get away with taking advantage of local students and the good people of the north country. "Eh" coffee. The coffee isn't even that good. Not sure if it's because these are robusto beans or if they're roasting them too long and they're burnt? Very tough to get a decent espresso drink. However, as you just heard, a small, non-modified drink is seven bucks. So get your drink first, and then ask for more milk/syrup/ whatever-you-need-to-make-it-palatable afterwards. Otherwise that small drink will end up being 10 bucks. Freezing cold. It's 80° outside, but it's so cold in here that your fingers can barely type. I put my computer bag over the vent in the back which helped some, but it's still bitterly cold. Playlist is wretched, with repetitive and massively annoying songs. Most people are here working on some kind of assignment, and this music is not conducive to cognitive activity. Staff said they cannot change the playlist because the owner has "mandated it." If they are trying to get folks to get their coffee/food and get out, this is one way to do it. There's not one thing on the menu that a gluten sensitive person can eat. It wouldn't be that hard to keep some gluten-free bread in the freezer so they can choose to make the sandwiches on it for people who can't eat gluten. Otherwise, the atmosphere is great and the staff are very friendly. read more

The "service" here, if you count being treated like a dog service, was unacceptable. The proposed owner needs a crash course in human interaction and customer service. Why even bother being in business if all you do is sit on your ass and scream at your staff and customers. The food itself was overpriced and you needed a microscope to see it, it was so tiny. The atmosphere was dingy and uninviting, goes great with their mediocre bagels. Appalling "customer service" during a recent visit; was eating inside the dingy little shop when I was harassed and told to leave. There was no sign that you couldn't eat inside and I had no idea it was an issue, considering there are customer chairs set up. The owner came out and demanded we leave -- like we're criminals, all while we were just trying to eat our crappy (very little) overpriced bagel. Looks like someone's not a morning person -- and has no business working with humans, or dough. read more

My friend worked here and wasnt treated well. Very sweet person and hard worker. They wouldnt let her use them as reference on her resume. I refuse to continue to support businesses that treat their workers poorly. Wouldnt be surprised if the owner did this because he is homophobic or sexist. Make a change Mr owner. These are the best bagels around, full stop. Be sure to go early for complete selection and freshness, they run out early. Buy some Temp-tee whipped cream cheese and the lox and a Yoo-hoo for the complete experience, take it all home and go nuts. read more

*No Bathroom *Quick *Limited Seating I've been to this place a handful of times. The line never gets to long and they make a decent bagel. Staff is OK, very neutral and definitely not super friendly or helpful. If your looking to grab a bagel and decent cup of joe, give it a shot. Just don't expect to feel cozy. read more

This place is great and right around the corner from us. Always great stuff to eat and get. We always get the bagels - cream cheese and tuna. It is a nice place sit in as well to sit and eat. Would give it 5 stars except: While the staff seems friendly enough to the regulars, I think they need to be a little more friendly to those of us who just drop in every now and then. A smile goes a long way. The bagels are very good, but if I want a garlic bagel, why do they always have sesame seeds also. Same with onion bagels. I've never seen this in other bagel shops. Best bagels!!! Really the best bagels around. Been coming here about twice a week in the past two years as I work nearby. Bagels are always fresh, a lot of times still warm. I usually get butter and jelly, but I've tried egg salad and tuna salad and they are delicious. Nice friendly staff, definitely recommended. read more

I feel like the Bagelry gets a bad wrap. I find the bagels when they are fresh delicious. They make multiple batches throughout the morning so your chances are quite high that you will get one straight out of the oven. The prices are not that bad, but they only accept cash. This place has the best bagels as far as I'm concerned. I live in queens and have no problem going out of my way to go to this store for bagels because they're better by far than any of the bagels where I live. They're bialys are the best too, and their bagels and bialys always have a perfect crispy texture. I highly recommend bagelry for a consistently delicious bagel. They also have a great selection of different flavored cream cheese, but their bagels are so good I love them plain (but that's just me). read more

This is not a place for you to sit down, relax, and have a long bagel brunch. But this is a place for you to get a delicious fresh bagel with a good spread and enjoy. The bagels are flaky on the outside and soft on the inside and there is something special in the cream cheese (from time to time my husband and I debated whether it was butter), because it just tastes very good and sometimes downright unusually good. We keep things simple with whole wheat and cream cheese. The veggie spead is good too...not too overpowering. There's a schmere for every taste. We also prefer the flats. Nothing like a whole wheat everything flat with just the right amount of cream cheese and a coffee. I particularly like their iced coffee and iced teas which are made to order.
