Bart, my new mechanic, was fast and thourough i went in with a leaking power steering fluid issue and requested a brakes check because the brakes just didn't feel right. I let them know that I will be traveling on Saturday and time was of the essence. My tundra was diagnosed in 20 min complete with a video and personal walk around to show me! I took my Honda Pilot to Bagwell Mathis Automotive in Cumming, Georgia for tire rotation and balance. Just afterward there was a slight pull to the left. I took it back in to see if the balancing somehow caused the pull. I was told that to correct the pull I would need to spend $690.73 to replace the break pads and rotators and calipers. I was also told that the vehicle was unsafe to drive on a seven hour vacation that our family as planning. I got a second opinion from an auto repair shop that I've been using for years and trust completely. They told me that none of the work Bagwell quoted me needed to be done. They made a minor adjustment that corrected the pull at no cost to me. We drove this car on our vacation with no problems at all. I have been here twice. First in 2021 for 4 new tires and alignment. I returned yesterday. My tire air pressure sensor kept going off. I went to Discount Tires to have the air pressure checked, and they said the air pressure was fine, but I needed to have the front two tires changed within the next month. This was quite confusing because they appeared to be in good condition. They said the interior of the tires was too worn. I went to Bagwell because I felt I trusted this business more. They suggested to re-align the tires to allow some more wear, and the tires had more than a month left. To add I had a tire added a few months ago at Discount Tires so It needed to be re-aligned. Bagwell was able to re-align, balance, and rotate in one hour, and I was a walk-in. The two men at the desk were very helpful and nice. Overall great customer service. I will return for future tires. We just moved to Cumming recently and found these guys on Yelp. They quickly fixed my tire which had a carriage bolt in it! Then I had them work on my brakes and test out my tire sensors to see if they were working properly. All in all, they help fix everything and turn my old rotors for future use. I highly recommend! Very friendly service and reasonable prices. I'll be taking my Jeep there later on to help with a caliper locking up. I'm very happy to find such a honest local small business in the area. read more

I have been getting my tires from this place for the last 14 years there's no one better to have to deal with than the guys that work here it locally owned and are always honest about what they can do for you and never tac on extra "problems " just to get more out of you. They aren't always cheaper than the big name shops, sometimes they are but it's the hometown business that makes you wanna deal with them. My trusted and long-time mechanic at Corey's Auto Service in Cumming told me a month ago that it was time to start thinking about replacing the tires on my Old Man Mobile, a Ford Crown Vic. My mind reeled at the thought of waiting in a circus-like atmosphere as persons wanting to sell me more, more, more approached with the tag line, "Mr. George, let's step out here and go over a few things we recommend..." I am not picky about many things, but the mechanical condition of my vehicles is something I do care about deeply. That's why ONLY trustworthy Corey's handles all the maintenance and repairs, and, if they say all's well, then all's well. So, when a tire place tells me that now is a good time to back flush my transmission, etc., I make a sickly smile and say, "Definitely NO!" So, I asked Bruce, one of the owners of Corey's where he gets his tires. That's how I ended up at Bagwell and Mathis. I'd previously thought B&W was closed, because it appears empty from the street. Turns out you have to enter one of the two drives, and go to the 'rear' of the building to find the 'front'. This place has been in business since 1947 (and so have I), and the current orientation of the building is not the way it was in the beginning. However, savvy locals know that this is the place to go. I requested a quote from their website first, just to see what's up. They offer Michelin, BFG, Hankook, Toyo, Mastercraft and other manufacturer's lines. In my case, I previously had Michelins which had carried the OMM for 11 years and 75000 miles without a bobble. I wanted to have great dry and wet traction and long wear without the premium price for more Michelins. The only highway miles OMM sees are occasional jaunts down 400 or on 285 for a few miles or an annual run to Clayton. For extended trips, I rent a mini-van. Given all that, Tony quoted me $509.08 drive-out for 4 Mastercraft tires. What, no alignment? He said my existing tires wore true, so no need. I came in with my quote in hand and left 30 minutes later, riding my new treads. Outstanding!!!! read more

And they have ALWAYS comes in cheaper than the discount tire places! The tires here are good and not the 2nds that you will find in the discount places. I had been taking all of my vehicles here for several years without any real incident and then today - 8/23/13 - someone who was changing out the tires on my car stole the flash drive that was plugged in to my cd player! The flash drive was not that expensive or anything but had sentimental value and about 4 GB of my favorite music stored on it - which I listened to every time that I get into the car - so I know for a fact that it was there when I arrived and was gone after I left. I didn't notice that it was missing until shortly after I had left and then I called the manager to report it.. He immediately became defensive and denied the fact that there was any possibility that any of his employees would have stolen it! He didn't even bother to ask me anything about the flash drive or how I knew that it had to be someone there that took it - all he said was that there was no way it could ever happen.. So, not only did someone steal my personal property, but the manager - who had been more than happy receiving my business - refused to even look into the incident for himself and claimed that it didn't occur!! So, if you do decide to take your business here, I would at least make sure that all of your personal belongings are removed FIRST!! read more
