I have this Transit van I use to haul motorcycles and make Home Depot runs - it doesn't get driven enough, and so there's always something wrong with it. The guys at Poston have twice saved my bacon with this heap, once with a rear hub and most recently a bunch of chewed up wires from mice building a home in the engine bay. They fixed both problems quickly, for a reasonable price, and there have never been any surprises. Poston's repaired my F150 with a 5.4 v8 recently. It had developed the intake manifold coolant leak problem. It's a too big job to do for a now older guy, so I took it to Poston's on the recommendation of a friend who has been there a number of times before. Great job at a good, fair price. The truck now runs great, and the shop followed my requirements exactly (Ford replacement manifold, not aftermarket, new PVC and EGR valve, new hoses, etc.). The truck is spotlessly clean under the hood, which I appreciate. Great communications during the job and as-promised delivery date. Will definitely be a repeat customer. This is the most thorough shop I have ever personally seen or heard about from anyone. They go over your car with a fine toothed comb, and make recommendations for repairs, starting with the most critical. They are straight shooters, and are prepared with a price for each service, allowing you to choose what you want (or can afford) to have done. They found a problem with my car that I had not reported to them. In fact, I had taken my car to a tire company, and also asked my husband to identify. Neither the tire company nor my husband could identify, but these guys found it without even being asked! I would not call them the cheapest, but their prices were not unreasonable, and their quality is top notch. Poston Motor Company in Cumming,GA completed service work on our vehicle without authorization. We specifically informed a staff member NOT to complete the work and when we came to pick up the car, the work had been completed. The owner claimed that my wife specifically told him to proceed earlier in the day, but my wife had never once spoken with the owner to proceed with the work. The only staff member she spoke with called her with a quote on the work and she informed him NOT to proceed. So...not only did they perform unauthorized work, but in our opinion they were then dishonest in representing whom she had spoken with on this matter. I paid for the work and informed them that they lost us as a customer and that I could not recommend them. I was going to leave it at that, but when I arrived home, I called to speak with the owner again, but I was hung up on 4 times. read more
