Went in for an oil change. The owner of the company, Randy showed me a video of the mechanic, placing his foot on the radiator. Drove the vehicle immediately to the train station 23 miles away. Got back in the vehicle and noticed that there was radiator coolant fluid everywhere. Tried to see if they were open Saturday morning. They were not. Took the vehicle to the competition for a radiator replacement. Mentioned it to Randy, he said they could've fixed it for less than half. He was not willing to pay for the repairs necessary while their shop was not open. Filing a small claims case against the owner after refusal to reimburse my $819. The owner expects you to wait several days for them to fix a problem that needs to be addressed as soon as possible so you can go to work. The video of the mechanic is directly from the facility. Terrible automotive center. Tried to charge me $1,700 for a headlight BULB (which they said was blowed) and ballast replacement. (For an Audi) I then went to pick it up and they then charged an inspection fee of $150. I took it to a different shop that Audi Atlanta recommended me to and they charged me the correct price of $754. The headlight bulb wasn't even blown, just needed a new ballast. This shop is a SCAM. I've had 4 repairs with this shop and as usual with every SCAM shop, I've had every repair grow in repair bills. It started with alternator belt replacement... $523 - For 2000 MITSUBISHI MIRAGE. I said alright. It's about what I'd pay if I didn't know anything about cars. My last bill was $1600+ for just diagnostics on another car... DIAGNOSTICS! And he couldn't repair it. Said he needed to replace the whole cooling system for $6700+ ...LOL. Because he couldn't figure it out! REALLY?!?! And this is the shop owner - Randy himself! LOL Oh, and that's not all, my old ass car was in shop at the same time. Guess what they charged me for replacing the neg battery terminal cable and a "new" battery (it was used BTW).. $656! Now since this betrayal, I decided I need to learn more about my car... slowly becoming a DIY'er. They seem to think people don't have access to internet... UGH. STAY AWAY!!! As a longtime customer (well over a decade), I brought my Lexus here to get one Lexus OEM tire pressure sensor replaced. I feel it is my obligation to warn other people about the terrible experience I had, and here are my complaints in the order of importance: 1) CUSTOMER SERVICE IS ABYSMAL: After I dared to question the final invoice (keep reading below to see why) I was told by the customer service representative behind the counter to take my business elsewhere, before I could even complete my sentence or have a rational civil discussion about the details. Even worse, the shop manager watched and heard the entire exchange and didn't intervene at all as his employee pushed potential future business into the hands of competitors. 2) ALL-IN PRICE INCREASED TWICE: (Initial in-person evaluation - I was told it would be "around" $160), (On the phone when I called back to order the part - I was told it would be "around" $200), (Final invoice - $240). I called Scott's Auto and their all-in price for the exact same part and service is $160. Any normal logical person would have questioned the extra $40 on the final invoice, but after I was rudely told to take my business elsewhere, I was extremely appalled and disgusted, paid the $40 donation, and walked out the door. 3) I left with the same problem I came there with because they couldn't get any of the TPSs to communicate with the computer and display the tire pressure after replacing the one bad TPS. They told me another TPS went out at that very moment (seems legit I guess???), and it would need to be replaced to get everything working properly again. In all fairness the car is over 10 years old, and the other sensors probably should be replaced, so this was not a huge issue. 4) It took 3 hours to complete this service while I waited (ridiculous, but a minor issue). The bottom line is that there are literally no advocates for the customer in this place, if there is any concern about service, customer service, or price, and clearly the culture promoted at Randy's Auto from the top down is "the customer needs us more than we need them, and we don't want, need, value, or appreciate their business". Per Randy's Auto Center's own recommendation, take your business elsewhere, which I agree with 100% after the experience I had. Protect your wallet and save yourself the frustration of dealing with their extremely rude and disrespectful CS representatives that don't belong within 100' of a CS role. read more

I've had two occasions where I've used Randy's auto. First- Jarrett and James helped me out and got my wife's car taken care of at a reasonable rate and timely manner. Second- I brought my vehicle in to Randy's to get a back up camera installed on my truck. The camera wasn't compatible for my truck bc of how bad the camera signal was so the technician told me that they wouldn't charge me considering I bought another camera that was suggested by technician and that they would just get me next time. Upon leaving the manager told me I needed to check out and I told him that I was good bc the tech told me that I wouldn't be charged fo an incomplete job. Needless to say the owner said that I needed to pay for an hr of his techs time at $108/hr after the tech told me that they would take care of me and just charge me for the next install. Due to additional events that have taken place, I am updating my review. I have left the original review below so that any readers can understand the frustration and disappointment that I originally had and the complete reversal of my feelings due to additional facts. The day after I posted my review I received a call from Randy the owner of the shop that did my repairs. He was concerned not in my opinion about the review but more about me as a customer. He was not arrogant, combative, sarcastic or negative in any way. He was genuinely concerned about my experience and wanted to make it right. He took FULL ownership of the situation and offered to return my money, pay to fix my grill and make my truck run correctly. Basically anything that needed to be done. I was honestly surprised, happy and relieved all at the same time. In my mind it is easy to make a customer happy, but EXTREMELY hard to make a VERY unhappy customer change that feeling. I opted to bring my truck back to Randy who assured me would fix my truck correctly. Later that same day he called to tell me that after some detective work was able to identify the problem and get it fixed. Later that night I went to pick up my truck and was very happy to see that it had indeed been fixed correctly. The additional cost was $288.06 the labor and parts to replace 3 bad coils. I know a lot about fixing a vehicle and that was a fair price. I have submitted an invoice to fix my grille which Randy as stated said he would pay for. I have to say that I am impressed. In this day and age it is very hard to find people and especially business owners who function with such integrity and true customer concern. I am proud to completely change the way I feel about Randy's Auto Center and give them my highest recommendation. I think that he will use this experience to elevate the shop to maintain his high standards on the front end when a repair is first presented. Sometimes it is easy to get involved in day to day operations and forget how important it is to focus on the customer, the problem and the solution the first time around. That is just business. The true stars shine when they can see they have fallen short and jump to correct the situation. ******************************************************************************************************************** Total RIPOFF! Randy and his staff made my day. Last week I noticed a hesitation in my vehicle at about 40mph when it shifted gears. Ford had replaced the transmission last year so I took it back to them. 4 hours later I received a call from the service rep telling me I had brought the truck in 5 quarts low of oil (it only holds 6) and ghee problem was my engine not the transmission. Told me it would be $10k for a new one. I told him I would think on it and call him back. The next morning he called before I did and offered me $500 for the vehicle. I laughed at him. Paul, the manager, is rude, lied to us, and Held our car hostage until he got his way. We had my daughters car towed here and they called us the next day with an estimate it was outrageous. When my mechanic family member drove an hour and a half there to just talk to the guy, Paul was rude and admitted to him that he had not moved the car, taken off the tire to see behind it, or inspected the car in any way prior to giving his estimate of $1400. We chose to have the car towed elsewhere and that is when Paul got really angry. He told us he would not release the car without a $53 "inspection fee". When asked what the fee was because he had admitted that he didn't look at the car, he stated that his staff spent "An hour and a half" getting the car off the tow truck the day prior. I called the tow truck driver to verify and he confirmed that this was a lie. When I called Paul to confront him on this, he hung up on me. When we went to the place to pay with a credit card, we were told they would not except the credit card because they were worried we would dispute the charges. They made us come back with cash while threatening to charge us more if the car sat on their lot any longer. read more

Randy's Auto Center has worked on two of my vehicles over the years, without issue. However, my most recent visit was a completely different experience. My Subaru Outback had a complete brake job performed. After approximately 6,000 miles the pads were completely gone and the driver rear rotor was gouged 4mm deep. My daughter had been driving this car exclusively so I was notified of the issue by her. Randy's offered to replace the rear brakes and rotor, but I advised them I feared for my daughter's safety after the work was not performed properly the first time, and would rather receive the refund. The shop admitted the work was done poorly, but still refused the refund. I had asked only for the cost I incurred in replacing the rear brakes and one rotor ($130), but was still denied. Randy's then called me a JERK and asked me to leave the property. read more

Our family recently relocated to Cumming, Georgia. When we bought our home, the former owners mentioned if we needed a mechanic they loved Randy's. Glad I kept that information tucked in the back of my mind. Our 2004 Durango decided to shut down on the freeway and we had it towed to Randy's for a diagnosis. Randy provided excellent service from the moment our car arrived. Our car was looked at on a Monday; Randy called and said he needed a little more time to look at the engine- no problem. I appreciated Randy's let us know what was happening. Randy called back on Tuesday with the grim news that the car needed a new cylinder head- not a cheap thing to fix. What I liked about Randy was he gave us a list of options for the car including not repairing it at all and looking for a new vehicle . He patiently discussed with us a few times what our best option would be. Ultimately, we decided to have the car repaired and the car is running great. Over the course of our car ordeal we had many conversations with Randy's ; it was apparent they really care about their customers. We will use Randy's for all of our future car care needs. read more
